Works ok, MOST of the time, but not always
Been using Zoho Invoice and now Books for quite a while. When using on a computer and browser, it all u usually works properly. However, the iOS/iPadOS app leaves a lot to be desired. First, it’s very buggy/crash prone on the iPad, and second there are features missing from the app that the website has and the features that are present do not always work properly such as expense categorization.

I would love to see more charts for the reports as well even online on the website as well and it would be nice if you could customize the colors of them instead of blue and orange red green maybe even a yellow for pending on the payments etc green not overdue or paid red overdue on both and yellow payment pending awaiting release would be nice on both the app and web on the main charges for bills and outstanding invoice thanks
Very Nice app for small and medium scale business and professions.
It is easy to use and very useful to maintain your receipts and payments.
Report of bug
Zoho has been simplifying the account related documentation since long for us. But since sometimes recently we’ve been facing an issue where item names have been wiped away in invoices and quotations when we use spreadsheet template on iphone.

Still can’t access multiple instances of Zoho
I run multiple companies and have been using Books since 2016. I am totally frustrated with lack of development of the mobile app. It’s absolutely fine if you only run one business on one instance of Books. However if you run multiple companies using Books on totally separate instances of Zoho, it’s impossible on the mobile app to switch between organisations in a similar fashion to that that can be achieved with Mail or Connect for example. Come on Books team time to get this sorted once and for all.
Zoho is good, but the app is poor
There are a lot of things (e.g. creating journals) that can’t be done in the app. This is craziness - don’t create an app if you can’t do everything, just have an adaptive website instead.
ZOHO BOOKS
Well there is nothing better than Zoho Books when it comes to billing software. Super fast operations, amazing UI & Very reliable in terms of service & data protection.
needs improvement
Wish the app had the ability to drill down the data. One example would be that I can’t open a customer and look at the outstanding invoices for just the customer or maybe the customer group. The app and even the web app focuses at invoice level drill downs but not customer level drill downs. I’m currently using Biz Analyst which seems no where near Zoho in terms of its build but the depth at which it delivers data is commendable. it definitely isn’t hard for Zoho to do so but I don’t know what’s stopping them.

Humne haal hi mein apne e-commerce business ke liye Zoho Books use karna shuru kiya hai aur hum iske features se kaafi impress hain. Iska UI bahut clean aur easy to use hai, jisse bookkeeping kaafi simple ho gayi hai. Already loving it! Highly recommended.
DO NOT RECOMMEND
I was a paid member. Transaction from my bank stopped coming in for two months. They couldn’t figure out how to fix it and would not offer a compliment month to offset my expense because it has to be pre paid. Consumer service can fix issues, they tell you they will email you back and it can take weeks.
Snappy and affordable
Zoho is way under rated. It is snappy and fully featured. The only improvement I would love to see is a documents section that allows me to upload a batch of receipts and have Zoho automatically link them to transactions, just like Digits does.
App functions are limited.
The desktop version is pretty good. The app is reallly bad. I can’t manually categorize a lot of transactions. It doesn’t automatically learn rules. You have to teach it each one. There is no rule function in the app and it often hangs up after correctly idetifying that some transactions match a rule. But it won’t let you actually save the transaction.

Before using zoho, I am doing invoice and quote, dc etc. in ms excel it is very different to tracking. Once started in zoho my account tracking is very very easier thanks for Mr. Founder. And finally in my lifetime once I want to meet Dr. Sridhar Vembu sir 🙏🙏

Not able to create journal entry in Zoho books IOS application

I have been asking for help for 8 months now still they fix it for 2 days and again the problem beginsi.
No PDF scanning
No pdf scanning. Only pictures can be uploaded. The response from the developer doesn’t state how to upload scans as a pdf. They only upload as a jpeg.

Tune the transactions logic
Since you are the Wave partner for EU customers, please put all the logic that handles any kind of transaction to one place. I expect to see all the transactions in single place and has single workflow. Add transaction splitting as well. I do not want to read a tons of your documentation: go here if your need to add expense, go there if it’s income, go to other place if it’s something else. For now the Zoho Books not attractive due it’s “Induslogic”. Just be simpler and think outside the box.

Important improvement
Please could the app have the function for assigning a customer owner? The web version has this function but in the app I cannot assign a customer owner to my restricted sales staff users when I am on the go and add a new customer for them via the app. This means I have to find a way to log in to the web version and is not always practical when out of the office). I would also like to be able to see sales receipts as well as invoices (currently can only see sales invoices on the app) However the app is a good idea in general. Makes life easier when out and about but still need to manage the business.

The App is not as Usable as the Desktop Version
I have been using Zoho for a year and like it pretty well. It is easy to operate for bookkeeping, but the app is missing some of the functionality and feels harder to use than it should. Most of the time the chat support is quick and solves the issue.

Unable to add discount on the invoice I have to manually add it on each item which is time consuming please fix it
Missing feature
I wish the option to manually categorize payments on the mobile app would be available. When we are mainly on the move each time this feature if it's there on the phone would make it the best app ever!

Can't import bank transactions in free version.
When I try to import bank transactions in the free version, it says bank feeds are disabled. I'm a solopreneur and this is essential. Looks like this app isn't for me.
Great app when I’m online
Why don’t this app have the ability to create invoices offline and sync later? I find it frustrating When I deliver in remote locations without a signal and can’t create a invoice on the spot.

The Zoho expense application has a smart receipt reader that automatically fills the forms and it would be very helpful to have that smart receipt reader in Zoho books.

Very bad signup experience
I downloaded the app and tried to sign up using iCloud login, it just keeps loading... Quite a bad experience on first time.
New user
I downloaded the App today and already Iam excited on the functionality and the things I can do in this app. Captured quite a lot. The fact that I can upload all my vendors and expense receipts on the go as well track all other cash expenses is just 🤩. So excited to discover what else I can do in this app, hence Iam rating it 4 stars for now. Will try the mileage because then all that I need to track and capture will be in one app. I will update once I have tried uploaded the mileage to see if it works🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Limited Functions and Buggy
I don't understand why companies still make apps that offer a stupidly limited set of functions when compared to the browser version. I keep getting nagged to use the app but it does not have all the functions of the website, specifically in my case I use the custom report tags the browser offers but these are not supported in the app. Also check the release notes and you'll see they are still fixing things that should never have boon problems in the first place. In short, this is another poor app trying to replace a website and failing.
Great tool - app missing some features
I love Zoho books and use the web-based tool every day. The app is good but could use a couple of enhancements to make time tracking on-the-go easier. Add timesheet to the bottom task bar and the timesheet detail report so I can check billable hours easily in client meetings. Alternatively, the web tool could be more mobile friendly so I could pull the right reports from Safari.
