I think Amazon Music is a great app! There might be bugs.
Drains battery
Amazon Music used to be free with a prime membership with no ads. Now they’ve added all of these extra charges. I’m going to change music apps because Amazon Music drains my battery. I have been listening to a playlist from 5:30 AM to 8 AM. My battery was at 100% this morning and after only three hours, my battery is at 49%. Do not recommend.
Used to work as a teen
I am a teen and it used to work great but all of the sudden it’s like not working anymore and I’m not sure why.
Online Mode is getting worse
Stop trying to force me into paying once a month for Music Unlimited. Stop trying to be like Spotify. I’m fine with buying mp3s and having my own collection then the songs I paid for disappear and yall keep trying to make me pay for the same songs again. And when I click on a song I payed for on Online Mode the app will play a different song instead.

The app hasn’t worked for me for over a month. I tried reaching out to help with no response. So this is the next step I guess. I have enjoyed using the app for a while but now it’s no longer working for me.

Free with Prime” Doesn’t Feel Like a Bonus
Amazon Music being included with Prime sounds like a nice bonus, but the experience is incredibly annoying. When I want to listen to an album, I want to actually listen to the album — not get interrupted constantly. Having a commercial shoved at you every couple of songs completely ruins the flow. An album is more than two songs. If you’re going to advertise music as being included with Prime, there should be a reasonable listening experience attached to it. At this point, the constant interruptions make the “free with Prime” version feel less like a Prime benefit and more like an advertisement designed to push you into paying for another subscription. Very disappointing.

Say what?
Having selected music automatically shut off after one hour of play is idiotic. I can’t use it as sleep music. It can only ever be “get to sleep” music. BOOOO Amazon.
Interrupts my playlists with “suggested” music.
If I make a playlist and select it for listening, it is that playlist I want to hear not some AI suggestions. If I am unable to reach my phone I am stuck with the suggestions - very frustrating

Doesn’t work super well
Update: after leaving the following review and getting in touch with Amazon and not seeing any changes for YEARS I switched to Spotify. Glad I did. Much better than this app. I get the death wheel when I try to do searches for certain people. They should also let you choose multiple songs/albums to add to playlists so one doesn’t have to do that one by one. It would be nice if the playlists updated instantly after modifying them instead of needing to restart the app. Also for months it has been doing this thing where it will say there is an error playing a song/it isn’t downloaded, and stop playing it, but then I click on the song and it starts playing fine.

Shuffle Sucks!!
I really appreciate the music selection but the random shuffle is absolutely horrible! No matter how many times you clear it, it plays the same few songs over. Like 4 of 15 will be the same.

This app is awful. Whichever Amazon Vice President is in charge of Amazon Music should be fired. The app just tries to upsell you and doesn’t actually play music. Subscribe to Apple Music instead. Amazon does a lot of things great. Its music service is embarrassing to the company.

i LOVE this app so much. i pay for the premium for no adds. about 2 months ago the option to see lyrics just completely disappeared?? i’m not sure if this happened to anyone else but it’s really annoying

Great experience so far! just one bug to fix
This app is great for listening to music and more, but there was one problem I recently have that began earlier this week. On one playlist that I mainly listen to, many of the songs I added to my playlist have been duplicated somehow several times. So the amount of songs that I had went from 200 and something to 400. One time, I updated my app, and when I opened the app, the bug was fixed, but then the day after that, the bug happened again. I tried to remove the duplicated songs, but they still came back the day after. Please fix this bug asap. Other than that, i’m having a great experience with the app. Thankfully the bug’s not happening to my other playlists. Thanks for reading this!

Amazon music is a great way to play songs u love and create playlists , although it doesn’t have all the songs I love .i think to improve Amazon music people could make sure u can have a range of different playlists to play in the car as it gets boring with the same one s every time . Amazon Music is not good
The only appeal this app has is it being free with prime, let me tell you every issue I’ve had compared to Spotify, no local files it may seem small but for someone listens to unreleased music that’s a big thing also the shuffle on an artist will play clean and explicit versions of songs you can turn off the explicit ones but not the clean ones I don’t want to hear a radio edit, also the user interface is confusing specially on a artists page, if your a casual music listener this is fine but for someone hardcore like me Spotify is your best bet
Almost perfect
I asked for relaxation music and it will start playing something that sounds like a mechanic garage or something crazy dramatic. Then I have to fast forward to the next song.
Bring back grid view!
App works fine but why can't l organise my albums in grid view on the iPad? This is surely a basic function and used to be the default. Why are Amazon decreasing functionality on their app?
Good app, But..
This app is great, but I’m part of a family plan- and I’m frequently logged out. This wasn’t a problem, until the invite expired- and now I have to ask for the invite again. It logs me out every 2-3 weeks with no Fix. Please stop this from happening.

Forecloses
I’ve had Amazon Music for years with my prime subscription and I forgotten why I stopped using it. Using it lately and cancelling my Apple Music to avoid another subscription with less to offer, I now remember why I didn’t use it and used Apple Music instead. It continues to foreclose without reason. It is starting to become annoying especially when you’re really starting to groove. This has to get better!

Purchased items disappear from library
I purchased albums and didn’t rent them for a specific time! My library is empty now and I can access music only through stream. The account exists for over 10 years….very disappointed….

Great service and app UI is good but the most recent update is terrible! Multiple app crashes per day. Quite frustrating!

I Enjoy It, But A Few Suggestions
I really enjoy amazon music. They’ve got a good selection, Ive never had an issue with the app or streaming, & every song I’ve searched for is in their library. However, like mentioned in my past review - despite their price coming down a bit, it’s still steep for the features you get. They recently through in some free audible access & I love the addition of podcasts all in one spot, but it feels cluttered now - a lot like social media but for music, honestly.

After first time crashing I checked if I was up to date. Now crashed 3 times🤷♀️
Not a good podcast user interface
Need the ability to search within podcasts to find specific episodes. Some podcasts (like rest is history) have multi-episode stories and Spotify does it really well where you can search for that and then track it (I.e listen to episode 3/5) whereas Amazon is all individual. I’ve gone back to Spotify even with adverts
I can’t listen to songs
I can’t listen to any songs when I’m on the app I click the button that is the play button and it says playback error so I keep trying and it still won’t. It won’t let me send an email and I can’t you know play the song and I have Amazon Music premium.
Won’t open
I logged in and then it started loading and it has been loading for 4 days and all it shows is a blue spinning circle
Great app
Great app, love the ad free thing for podcasts. Only thing I would say is, the app needs a way to mass un-download podcasts episodes or all the songs of a playlist because if you want to un- download an entire playlist or all the episodes of a podcast you have to un-download each song/ episode individually.
