Title
Good songs w lil tecca tho
Bc it literally wouldn’t stop asking
The only music app I use but damn they literally forced me to review and just would not stop asking. So for that u get a single damn star bc wth
Worth it
Like any streamer there are issues but the sound quality and the most ethical artist payout model of the big three makes it well worth it.
Pretty great
Overall really great, but Tidal NEEDS cross fade. Also, I notice a glitch where if I close the app, or come back to it after a while, my shuffle mix starts from the first track rather than picking up where I left off. It’s rather annoying when you want your playlist to fully cycle through w/o repeat songs. Edit: they increased their subscription and now they won’t process my cancellation. Shady.
Needs an update
Very buggy on CarPlay, why is it when I like a song it starts all over? 😭 it also plays the same songs despite me shuffling my playlist
Bye Bye Spotify
Great platform, amazing content, and they treat artists fairly!
Not working
It all started great. But it’s starting to glitch. Ever since it got updated a few weeks ago it doesn’t open when I want it to. I’ve deleted and reinstalled a few times and nothing. I’m paying to use it and it’s very frustrating when I can’t use it when I want. I will be deleting and reinstalling one more time to cancel my subscription and not using anymore.
App is frustrating
Gave this a good 6 month run and can’t keep using this app Playback issues with connectivity problems keep the app from being functional unless you’re on a strong cell signal or WiFi. The app literally will not work in low signal areas. Even when playing my downloaded playlist, the app itself is non-responsive. Overall UX is not great for what you get, now with them increasing prices for a subpar experience, I’m done
Buggy but…
App can be pretty buggy. shuffle isn’t always the best. i appreciate that they pay the artists substantially more than spotify and apple music. i’d appreciate if it was less buggy though.

Buttons and navigation aren’t that good. Tidal is particularly intuitive. I have many touch screens errors or navigation dead ends as result. I’m trying to get used to this app but it’s not easy. Coming from Apple Music (for higher fidelity), I see that their navigation and logic was much easier.
Too expensive
I love tidal, but after getting notified that the price is increasing to $15 almost $16, I’m going to have to make the move to another streaming platform. Which sucks because I really like Tidal, but that are far more cheaper options.
Hit or miss
Wayyyy too glitchy these days. I’ve had it since 2016 and every time they do updates, the app is trash for months
5 stars
Great app
Stop asking me for ratings
Every. Single. Time. I open the app it asks me to rate it. Stop.
10 years in: Review
I’ve been using TIDAL since high school, and now that I’m almost 30, I’ve built up a lot of my music library and history on the platform. Because of that, it’s honestly hard to imagine switching to another streaming service. That’s why I’d really like to see some of these issues addressed… The app has become increasingly frustrating to use. Songs frequently give errors when trying to play, the search function often requires typing the full song title just to find what I’m looking for, and the app regularly lags when adding songs or updating playlists. Sometimes I have to completely restart the app and search for the song again. The lyrics are also frequently inaccurate, and the overall interface feels noticeably slow. I’ve experienced the same issues across newer and older devices, as well as on my MacBook, so it doesn’t seem to be device-specific. There have been times when I’ve needed to play music without dealing with these issues, so I’ve used other streaming services instead. Every time I do, it makes me realize how far behind TIDAL feels in terms of overall performance, responsiveness, and ease of use. I’m paying $15/month for the service, and I genuinely want to keep using TIDAL. I’m not leaving this review just to be negative, I’m leaving it because I’ve been a longtime user and want to see the app improve. I’ve invested years into my library here, and I’d really like TIDAL to address these issues so the experience matches the quality of the music and service they’re providing.
Too Many Price Increases
The price just keeps going up. I’m going to have to find another streaming app, it’s ridiculous.
Developers Please Help
The notifications the app has at the bottom when you save something need to be adjusted. They cover up all the buttons for a decently long time. Please move the banner somewhere else or make it avoid buttons. Additionally, the processing for saving songs to a playlist is so obtuse. There was a way to quickly add to a playlist with an add to playlist button. Where did it go? Having to open a side menu from the main playing page with album art takes too many clicks. I like to add to multiple playlists and the banner pop up then interferes as well with getting into the side menu. Please make more efficient.
Stop it
Stop asking me to constantly rate and review your app
It’s alright, price increase is a bummer
Came here because I stopped paying for YT and needed a new music app. After months of dealing with subpar shuffle/radio suggestions similar to what another user commented- I received an email about a price increase. Tidal can’t even verify my age no matter how many times I submit verification. No more. No thanks.
The App is non functional for offline listening
I wanted to try Tidal as a option that wasn’t Spotify for my music streaming as I hate Spotify however the Tidal app for IOS is not great. It’s pretty glitchy and if you need your music library downloaded (as I do) you are out of luck. The app has download toggles and buttons on playlists however when you hit them it downloads 10-20 songs and immediately stops. No explanation or visible queue that indicates whether it is downloading more songs or not. There is also no way to clear the app cache and hard restarting the app also doesn’t work. I am really disappointed as I was hoping title could be viable alternative for music streaming 😞
After eight months, I still haven’t been able to get the downloaded songs to work off-line
I switched over the title because I did not want to support Spotify anymore. But the fact of the matter, it’s just an inferior product I do enjoy that you can stream in high Fidelity formats but I have done everything under the sun to try and get the application to work off-line and flew downloads and have still not been able to achieve that. The algorithm is mostly good, but there is also this thing where if artists have the same name it mistakes those artists as being the ones that you follow when they are completely different genres.
Ban AI
The service is great. However, allowing users to opt out of ai content is not going far enough. Please update your policies to ban all ai content. I can’t rate this higher with ai content being allowed.
Over all great
Top-tier studio quality sound
Simply not worth the money
I was already not happy paying so much for an app that has horrible shuffling and an extremely limited song selection, but I wanted to support a company other than Spotify. Now with a huge price increase coming with absolutely no additional added value, I will be ending my subscription as it’s just not worth the money.
"My mix" playlists dont work
The app is great, don't get me wrong, however, thr "my mix" playlists change every day, so when I find one I like, it just disappears the next day, please change this, or give us the option to save a certain version of it.
Price increase is insane
Basic af and they have the audacity to increase their monthly fee which is already way too high. Cancelled my subscription real quick.
needs transparent pricing
after a significant price increase, I now pay $26.99 for a family plan even though it is listed as $19.99 on the website. the support chat is no help.
Music
Great
Run away now!
This is the WORST streaming app. EVER. Hope you have a few days to download content. Make a mistake? GOOD LUCK removing content from your D/L que! DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THESE CLOWNS! These are not new issues. Research it on Reddit of FB threads. There is a not a single redeemable quality with Tidal. NONE--unless becoming immediately frustrated is your goal.
Love TIDAL, but…
I absolutely LOVE tidal one of the best, but when a new song comes out you can see it in the notification area at the bottom but (I don’t know if this is just me but) it doesn’t come up (the new song/album) until a couple of days later. So if that could be fixed, that would but great but others than that perfection
Falling short on quality delivery
90 % of my music doesn’t play shuffle feature is awful
Integration with Siri needs improvement
I used to be able to convince Siri to play one of my own playlists but for the last six months or so that just doesn’t work please correct
Good music
Reliable
Music
Be deleting my music cant put music that I want on there
Signing out
Would have be five if I could listen to offline and downloaded without it signing me out
Archaic Quality
If you’re into LPs and you want to bring the bother and lack of convince to your digital listing Tidal is for you. Add albums from an artist and expect the artist show up under “Artist” - nope not on tidal, navigation on of the app on the screen, not on the song playing? - nope not on Tidal. Expect to be able to shuffle songs from albums from an artists without making a playlist - nope not on Tidal. Want to sign in frequently, like slow loading then Tidal is for you. I’m fully onboard with high quality audio but the user interface is a disaster and would take so little to fix. In the end I’ll save the faffing for LP, I prefer convenience for digital and am going back to Apple. Get the extended trial if you try Tidal as it is hard to live with.
Fisher-Yates algorithm
PLEASE switch to using the Fisher-Yates algorithm for shuffling playlists. The same 50-100 songs play out of my 600 song playlist and I am so frustrated that each song does not have an equal opportunity to play. This app is one of the few alternatives to the AI slop being pushed by Spotify and Apple, but the shuffle feature needs updated very badly.
Supports humans artists
This app pays artists better than other streaming platforms, and also has anti-AI policies
AI music
There’s ai music under the name of a smaller artist. The weird thing is there’s some of the smaller artists stuff there, but then a lot of it is ai albums.
Hi
Its nice, no long downloads and only 4 amstar bcs everytime i log on it asks me to rate🤦♂️
Poor interface
New is not always better
Local Files
Literally the only feature preventing me from fully migrating from Spotify to Tidal is the fact that Spotify allows you to merge your local files with the cloud
Good App
Been using for a while, still enjoy
Stop asking me to review and rate
Every time I open the app it wants me to rate it, even if I’ve already done it. One star for being annoying af. I like the app otherwise even though it’s a little glitchy.
Positive Experience
Good app, only criticism is that sometimes it can be quite glitchy
Good mission bad execution
This app simply doesn’t work effectively. Random glitches, random deleting of tracks - switching to deezar
Raising prices time to switch
I’ve had tidal for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been very pleased but to be raising the price to over $15 in this economy is sad for consumers. I don’t want to go to Apple Music, but it’s $12. More so it’s the principle- corporations are still pocketing millions of dollars while expecting the consumers to be OK with all of this inflation. The price of everything is going up besides our wages. It’s too much.
