The oldies but goodies
Exceptional I love it. It’s awesome. What else can I say?❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ads
Ads interrupt and play over content rather than waiting fir ad breaks
Mostly ok app
My review for free iheart This app it preety nice music app but i have suggest Ds app is good for podcasts.mu can fast forward and speed and stuff, but madbe yould be able to delete podcast reccomendations from the for you. but WHY are there random ads when i wanna listen to radio? I mean, the radio has ads that DONT overlap with the songs. Songwise, i wish you could get like 5 repeats a day or something. More skips. On playlists on free we should be able to toggle recconeded by iheart or not, cause it’s annoying some times. I feel like artist radio should be less random and focus on the songs by that artist and similar artists, and somgs like one u initually wannet to listen too. Oh and i dunno if this is an error, but i cant find how to get to song lyrics. I would also like music posting process to be as easy as podcast posting process And iheart all acsess should be cheaper. —UpDate— Instead of having an iheart kids in a different app, just keep some settings and filters and parent control and stuff on here. Itll be much easier.
ADS
It’s ridiculous how many ads I hear almost ready to pay for tunin premium
Works when it does
The constant buffering is quite annoying. Especially when I’m on a fiber 1GB connection.
Diverse Access to Radio and Podcasts
I’ve used iHeart Radio for several years. There is a wide variety of music radio stations, and podcasts. There is something for everyone!
They WAY OVER advertise their apps
I use to like their app but now seems every other ad on radio is Iheart this iheart that. How many award mshows do they have ? Over play the ad for it as well. Tired of hearing ads for them so we removed the app. 👎👎
Audio issues
Please fix the audio issues with the volume of the mics for the breakfast club stream in the mornings. Production board or engineers needs to up the volume when they’re talking the callers are louder than the cast talking in studio! Also DJ envy mix is low volume then when the commercials come on the volume is better but during his mix the volume is low.
Local radio? Nope
What I really like about this app is that when you tune in to hear local programs, local news, weather, and traffic you get commercials for the app, app podcasts (usually of little interest), and commercials for businesses. Fortunately, they leave the national broadcasts. You can those on any radio station for that matter so local radio really doesn’t matter
Ad Heavy
IHeart App now is so ad heavy that it’s not much value. I listen to talk radio waiting for interviews I want to hear but there are so many ads through the interview that you miss it. Good news is you can get any content you want.
IHeart: Radio Music
It’s awesome I love it
So bad
I used to use the app but the constant ad insertion during broadcasts and never ending ads forced me back to using the radio. Occasionally I have to use this PoS app which could be good if they cared about just playing their broadcast. Unfortunately their priority is to stream ads first, radio second. If you don’t stop the ads, they’ll just go on and on. Fix it and I’ll be happy to write a 5 star review. I listen to kfyi in Phoenix all day. Read on if you want more of my earlier review. Used to be a decent app, now i would give it zero stars. This app is nothing but the same streamed commercials over and over. If you interrupt your radio stream for any reason (i.e. phone call, social media video, etc) the commercials start all over again and its usually the same commercials. When it does mercifully end the ads, the radio broadcast is already in process. Horrible streaming experience driven by greed for ad revenue. Guess I’ll have to go back to a radio. Update: sent support email as requested. They responded with a polite response, but haven’t done anything nor responded to updates. Even tried the “plus” paid subscription they recommended and guess what? Same experience as the free offering. Same commercial ( fry’s grocery) over and over. Miserable experience. Have been using the app all day for years, but the “improvements” made recently are just horrible. Update 1/21/26 - seemed like iheart came around. They started streaming without jamming in app based ads. I was wrong. Back to inserting app ads even when the radio broadcast is not playing radio based ads. It’s the same miserable ads (fry’s grocery) over and over. The app will also play ads for their podcasts that will just play on and on. Please just stream the radio broadcast with no extra BS!!!!
App visibility
I love using the iheart radio app but I wish you could be able to change the color of the app icon similar to the Ticketmaster and Fox one ones. I feel like a change like this would make it easier to find on my iPhone’s dock where I have this app because it’s right next to my Apple Music
App breaks often.
Updates break the app.
App Different than Radio
It is disappointing that there are more ads and less content on the app than direct from the radio.
Great station.. BUT the screen layout is awful when wearing motorcycle gloves.
The screen layout is poor and if riding all day your screen thumbs up / thumbs down button are too close together. I have large hands and they are annoyingly tiny without gloves. Put the thumb buttons on opposite sides of the screen and stop wasting the screen space and then making teeny buttons!!
UI/UX mess
The iHeart app is a masterful blend of polyester disco pant design with the functionality of late Soviet Industrial machinery.
iHeart Fan
I love iHeart. Sometimes it closes or goes out for minutes.
I used to love this app
I used to really love this app, but they recently added a feature that instead of just playing the songs that you saved to a playlist they shuffle in other songs the app deems similar. When I make a playlist I don’t wanna listen to any other songs only those on the playlist and there’s no way to turn the feature off. It is quite annoying.
Commercial
The ice t basketball commercial is too loud. Turn it down or don’t play it.
Dolly Parton Feature
Excellent
👎🏼
This app crashes on me 4-6 times a day
Source for music
Login issues when switching presets
Repetitive
Plays the same songs over and over. There are some songs I haven’t heard since I added them to my playlist.
Just needs to stop dropping in and out as frequently…
Overall, it is a 7/10
Loving it Today
In the past I downloaded, deleted, downloaded, deleted, now downloaded and keeping it! Im loving it! Keep up the good work!! Im also telling others to give it another try because it’s so much better and getting better!!! You are going to be Number 1 !!
Broooo
Bro my mom won’t let me get it and I am sooo mad
App freezes after update
App now freezes when trying to add a song to a playlist
No ad free subscription option?
I love that I can get radio on my phone, but having ads play through the app on top of the regular ads you get on radio, sucks. I have not found any option to pay a subscription fee to not have ads via the app. Which is so crazy to me in 2026. Offering a free app with free radio is great, but the ads really interrupt the music and I can’t even pay to get rid of that. Crazy…
Its Okay
I like this app and platform however it has issues. If fixed this would be 4-5 start app. 1. App freezes and needs to be restarted often on a apple phone. 2. The preset buttons sometimes dont work. 3. if you loose wifi and then auto swicth to data you will need to relaunch app. Not app issue but, most of the stations and playlist play radio edit version of the song that suck bad. Why remove parts of songs like a instrument solo? the artist intended it to be on the track for a reason. Terrible idea.
Awesome
I can always find what I’m looking for…GREAT JOB!!! 🙏🏼💜👼🏻
Doesn’t load

Issue
When you tap on play list the app freezes cannot do anything same issue across all apple devices. Please fix
No Catholic music
You can’t enjoy traditional chants without hearing denominational music. It’s sad to think when there’s no room for pleasant music in this day.
Radio stations delayed
Love using this app for podcasts and radio. There are minimal ads and it's convenient when I'm at home or on the go. However, I've noticed that the app has a significant delay compared to listening via FM radio. I've personally timed a 40 second delay. This normally would not bother me but radio stations often have timed contests therefore I cannot use the app to participate.
Left pandora for you
I love the continuous music with limited commercial breaks
Ruining Local Radio
I’ll never listen or support iHeart. They are snakes and trying to ruin local radio in Iowa.
Missing songs
I cannot find a lot of songs by more obscure artists
Worst app I've ever had on my iPads
Constantly cuts out and often stays out if no intervention by me. I wear air pods to listen in my apartment. Most of the time when it cuts out it does so with a sound that literally hurts my ears. There is never any improvement. Is it my wifi? It's Bell wifi, and the station I listen to is CFRB, owned by Bell!
Enjoyable
I like the app because I enjoy radio stations that don’t reach my city. Sometimes I also don’t want to choose my music so it’s nice to let someone else take the reins. That said I would like if the app’s ads would remember I’ve listened to them. The app glitches sometimes and I have to exit then re-enter and the ads play again which is annoying. The glitches are annoying too, obviously. My fave station sometimes won’t even start even after shutting the app, reinstalling etc…
Love iHeart Radio!
I just love listening to the old time radio show Tuned to Yesterday. So amazing! Thanks for having this show!
105.1 que Buena Los Angeles
Add 105.1 que buena Los Angeles to I heart radio
Algorithm a bit annoying
Pretty good all around except that the algorithm doesn’t quite match up with the tracks in the playlists . This is maybe because of its lack of knowing what you mean by giving a particular song a rating and is too general in it parameters
Adds encroaching on content
Have been using this App for many years to listen to CFRB1010. Over the past few months the advertising has been running over the content and causing me to miss the beginning of segments. As this is a news and talk radio station, this is very annoying! Please stop this!
Just use and IPOD or MP3 player
You can’t even use this offline and you can’t go on a different app at the same time what is the point am I supposed to stare at the Iheart radio app thats boring zero functionality if you really want the Radio get an MP3 player or an IPOD ten times better.
IHeart radio my opinion
It’s still a good app and works great with iPhone 7 in 2026
F Israel
I’d give - stars if I could. Just heard two pro Israel ads in a 20 minute period. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves. Being pro genocide is disgusting. Love my fellow Americans of Jewish decent who don’t support this bd. Do better I heart radio.
Stuck on loading screen for days
It’s bad
Free BUT with sign in???
If the app and “listening pleasure” is free, why do I need to log in? For you to track my preferences? Why else? If you value my listening time, then you just lost me! Enough of “free” apps that track me and infest my “listening pleasure” with advertising I don’t want to see. This has gone tooooo far. Goodbye iHeart!
Thumbs Up
All in all good app compared to other platforms. Unfortunately there is always a glitch here and there. When I try to use Siri to open and play app it has a commercial that needs to be “dismissed” manually before I can hear a station. Sometimes my CJAD goes down then I have to switch to TuneIn. And also I miss my news stories.
