2026 Review
Convinced the 1-star reviews are user error. App works fine, does what it’s supposed to do, helpful for the most part.
Useless
I can’t create an account. I have to enter a code to confirm. It says code sent to phone number. I receive no code.
Why???
You have no idea how much I hate developers who when releasing an update to an app on the very first update round they disable the old version. When you do an update, give a warning before making the prior version impossible to use so I don’t stand in line at the store having to update the damn app. Morons.
Outdated Reviews On Here
A lot of these reviews are very old. I’m using the app and it’s working fine. Just download the app yourself and see if it’s working. An overall 1.9 stars for this app is wild, I’m giving it 5 stars.
Can’t make an account
I decided to try the app and it won’t let me make an account, it just says error. So I signed in with google and that worked. Then It says I need to sign up for rewards and I try and it says I didn’t fill in something when I definitely filled it all in.
Limited
Unless you purchase an item online, you cannot review it
Useful
I’m not sure why this app has so many bad reviews. You can use it to scan the barcode of items to find the price, see sales, have access to weekly coupons and can order from the app and pickup in store. It has a full catalogue of their products too.
Vibecoded Garbage
Asks for location permission even while not using the app. Error messages (you will see them a lot) are not informative. Register button greyed out for no reason. Google sign-in project is just an unnamed project. Absolutely horrible to use. Buggy garbage. Our data is not secure.
The website is better
I deleted the app. The website is easier to use plus (and this is a big plus if I am on the couch or in the bathroom) you can not use Apple Pay on the app, only online. So if I am not near my wallet I am annoyed. (I know first world problems) but I can easily click and spend anywhere I am with Apple Pay.
Will Not Update
Had to leave the store without my purchase because the app would not update and I couldn’t use the old version
Issues logging into Michaels Rewards
Glad I can still access coupons but no luck signing into the Rewards program.
No verification
Tried multiple times to set this up. It originally wanted my chosen store to be in the States. I live in Canada. Then once I finally got Canadian info, it didn’t allow me to verify my account. Code was sent several times, but never appeared in my texts or emails. Very frustrating.
Crashes
Can't open the app at all, it crashes all the time. Was fine until the last update. My phone is updated and have no issues with my other apps.
Having issues
Can someone let me know why I no longer can get pictures of the items that are listed? I have to open up each item if I want to see what it looks like. Is anyone else having this issue? It just started doing that. Is it because of the latest update?
Keeps logging me out
I have to sign back in everyday which is SUPER annoying.
Broken App / No Support
I love Michael’s but the app is terrible. No matter what device, whatever category I choose freezes after scrolling for mere seconds. I’ve tried clearing cache and reinstalling, and can only shop Michaels in a web browser.
Crash Master Extraordinaire
Do no bother. App maker: Do better!
Freezes
I can’t get past a page without it totally freezing.
Used to be okay, but now unusable
This app was fine for a couple of years but now, it freezes all. the. time. I can’t find a pattern to it, I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling… no point in keeping it installed.
