Before you could only use the app for coupons and flyer - you had to go to the actual website if you wanted to make an online order. They recently added online ordering to the app!
The app doesn’t work
I’ve downloaded this app probably 15 times and every time it just doesn’t let me get in it just does the thinking stage and thinking stage and never lets me all the way into the app especially when I’m trying to sign in. It just never happens. It’s it’s a terrible app. You guys need to really fix this properly.

love the interface of this app and the user friendliness but sometimes it takes forever to load or won’t load at all even with a reset or closing out of it completely

Never works
The app never works. I’ve contacted support and their only suggestion has been to use the website. Useless app.
Doesn’t work
The app used to work now it doesn’t even open it just stays on its “welcome”page with the title and blueberries.
App works okay
I really don’t have issues with the app but would rather it be a moi app across all stores rather than having multiple apps for the same program. Also would be nice to have a grocery list feature to flag sale items and to be able to manually add items as well
Incorrect inventory updates
App inventory is inaccurate. They claim items are 'always in stock' but cancel items after you order. Fix your real-time tracking!
Frustrating
Good luck trying to change your store to view the flyer. I put in the postal code for the store I wanted to go to and it didn’t pop up. What’s worse this was listed as my “favorite” store. App sent me to a store 20 km away from that woth a different flyer. They need to hire some better app developers cause this app is frustrating and useless
Would have liked tablet compatibility
Don’t like that you have to log in to get a voucher.
App will not load
I have deleted reinstalled several times and I can’t get the app to load it just roams I cant use moi rewards because of this either
App not opening
On iPhone 11 the app has work up until this week. I have tried everything but it will not open.
Slow and Annoying
The app frequently won’t load at all for lengthy periods of time. I have spent hours waiting on it to load before getting my groceries so I can still load my offers. How ridiculous.
Could be better - design it for user needs
Food Basic = App is Basic. Seems like it’s designed and developed with least amount of effort and cheapest development budget. When you open the app you see a banner in the app asking you to “download the app” 😂😂😂 Apps for the users and their needs & not what developers think people need. For example not everyone wants to order pickup. Not everyone has the budget to make the minimum purchase $ for pickup. Some of us like going inside the store. Your competitor’s apps allow customers to create a shopping list within the app. Yours is designed only for pickup and the prices shown are for pickup and sometimes cheaper than in-store. Don’t push me to order pickup. I like to create a list so I can remember what I need at the store. Also: There is no feedback option on the app. This shows that the developers don’t care if their app works for the user. Create a feedback option on the app so you can continuously improve the app based on what your customers want and based on the frustrations they may encounter while using the app.
Slow, pain to use, and now straight up won’t open
Using this app is like hearing 1000 chalks being scraped on a blackboard. It’s super slow, unbelievably unresponsive, and now won’t open even after deleting and reinstalling. I would give 0 stars if possible.
What is the real value? Anyone calculated?
The most confusing marketing product I have ever seen, not even sure what to review - no points ever been added, even from product with stickers, though used the barcode multiple times at the register 😅 Same is the app. Colors are ok though 🙈 Going with PC Optimum instead, much clearer.

Had to delete app as it’s not letting me log in. Constantly spinning clock icon. Disappointing as I shop Food Basics regularly!
Needs improvement
The app does not provide users with the ability to clearly see and read product labels. It does not provide country of origin information/product of x country for many items. The app does not allow you to click on your cart from the home screen. The app is challenging to navigate. The app is also full of glitches, something that becomes apparent very quickly. It is very frustrating to use.
