New feature save strong password from safari does not work
There is a new feature that you create an account in safari and it automatically asks you to generate a strong password and save in 1Password. However I cannot find the username password cannot be found in my 1Password after the account registration.

Changes
After an update or change or something, I now have to enter my long, secure, impossible to remember master password any time I want to use 1password on my phone. Which defeats the use of 1password? I've tried to change many settings and nothing.
Extremely helpful
I have been using 1PSWD for almost 4 years now. I switched from dashlane and the switch was the best thing I ever did. I have this app on my laptop, computer, phone, and tablets. If you use the features in every way, this thing super powers managing a business.
Absolute disaster
I bought 1Password because I manage several websites and needed to stop wasting time on logins. It has done the opposite. It locks me out constantly. When I tried to save my recovery password on my phone, it just refused. No error that made sense, it simply would not save it. That has happened with regular passwords too, several times. I type everything in, hit save, and nothing is there. Then there’s the opposite problem. When I do not want it involved, it jumps in anyway, popping up over fields, autofilling things I did not ask it to fill, getting in the way of what I’m actually doing. Moving items from my personal vault to a shared one is a one at a time nightmare. For anyone managing more than a handful of sites, that alone is a dealbreaker. There is no reason a paid password manager in 2026 should make you do that by hand, item by item. The whole point of this software is to save time. Instead I spend my time fighting it. Every session turns into troubleshooting the tool instead of doing the work I bought it for. Whoever builds this does not seem to use it. That’s the only explanation I’ve got for how basic this stuff is and how broken it still is.

Great product
How is there no search on the Home Screen?
The first thing I do is shake my head that there’s no search on the home page and I can’t add one. I even checked after the last update. Gaping hole in the customization options if you ask me. Tap into the sidebar, tap the search item, tap the field so you can actually search. Are the devs using this app? You don’t find that obnoxious? It used to be there, you should really put it back.
Would prefer to organize by categories
In previous password software, I could group by category (home banking, etc). I find using 1Password on my phone to be difficult, can’t scan for different accounts, have to remember what they are called so I can type in search terms.
Won’t live without it
It can be quirky across devices and browsers. They all have their quirks but this is THE PLACE to store all your vitals. Sometimes it’s the tail wagging the dog, but once you realize it’s not always 1Password’s fault you’ll accept that this is a great password app.
Can’t make it work
Wasted 2 hr trying to interface my iphone and Mac to be able to move the passwords. Never could get it to work. Very frustrating and exasperating experience. I highly recommend not using this “highly recommended “ software
Coming back to 1Password
I used 1Password years ago then switched to a different password manager for a few years and now am back to try 1Password again. The import feature was helpful. Not sure if it got everything right yet. I gotta sort thru it all and confirm everything is correct. Haven’t tried the authenticator yet. Will be trying that later this week. It confused me at first that they didn’t have a separate authenticator section of the app. Really wish they had more appearance customization options. Rn you can only change app icon. I’d like to be able to set whole app to dark mode, adjust login logo/icon display sizes to be bigger, and adjust font sizes too.
Bugs
Recently 1pw has been crashing when I bring Safari to the front on my Mac. Not nice. Right now I’m on my iPad where I see no search field after opening 1pw. Also not nice.
Disaster
I got sick & tired of Dashlane lack of support for home accounts. So I switched to 1P. Disaster! Seemed so easy…just follow the directions…what could go wrong?😑 Now I’m stuck trying to use 1P while rebuilding account names I was familiar with in DL, recreating many others that didn’t transfer — or were corrupted somehow from the transfer actions, continuously bouncing back and forth now between Dashlane and 1P (but somehow DL now only holds p/w’s that were created in DL AFTER a certain, as-yet-undetermined date). I am confused and exhausted and in need of an expert in DL-to-1P disasters.🥺

What a POS
I have to rewrite every single one of my passwords. This thing downloaded everything will not fill out my passwords at all and the people don’t know what they’re talking about and don’t respond in a timely manner. I can’t believe this it’s supposed to be one of the better password managers. What a waste of money. I’m having to change all of my passwords. This sucks.
Needs better compatibility
Nice app, but fails to keep up with all the nastiness Safari, Firefox and Chrome keep building in to keep all the passwords in their sandboxes
Mostly good, new year same old issues
14 day to manually enter password, always happens when I’m in public… would be nice if it popped up at home the day before allow renaming of attached files, super annoying on iOS when you select/take photos Travel vaults are strange, the travel vault should be a “logical vault” where you can share items to it, but the system works in that your transit vault becomes either your important item vault or you end up with duplicates and a nightmare of updating one version but not the other

Completely broken
Literally nothing works on this new version. All buttons and menus are unresponsive. UPDATE: got an automated response to contact 1Password support (like I’m an idiot and didn’t think to do that first). Live support was non-existent and kept directing me to various help pages that helped with absolutely nothing. I eventually managed to regain access to my account, but only after the literal CTO of our company had to get involved.
Needs to keep things simple
Needs to keep things simple. Longer pause to lock. Make it harder to make errors. And easier recovery. Better explanations of terms and actions. User since’08.
Unwelcome change
Used to open app and see all the collections listed. Now I can’t find them and can’t find some saved logins. The search function is useless and I can’t just scan them all visually
Long time user and supporter, disappointed in the choice to go electron
1Password is a great Canadian company with a tremendous product recognized across the industry. I’ve had no issues with Passwords or logging in for the most part. The few exceptions were not catastrophic, fortunately, and relate to strange behaviors with the plug-in and app not playing along together very well and the choice the company took to move from a native Mac application to a electron based app. While 1Password doesn’t really feel like a native Mac app it gets the job done the difference being. It doesn’t feel as fun to use.
Great customer service
Whenever I have a question (I don’t have problems!), I am always happy with prompt and clear answer! Have used 1Password for years!
Beyond vomit inducing
Pathetic buggy trash. Didn't save my driver's license I added on the desktop app or they just don't sync those to the iOS app either way their pathetic overpaid talentless hacks they call engineers should be fired. Why is there no card scanning with the camera??? For this supposedly billion dollar company that is beyond pathetic.
Data Retention Flakey
In recent weeks it appears to me that 1Password reverts either to a 10 minute or a daily limit on access to the program rather than the schedule I instructed it to use.
Room for improvement
It’s buggy, not highly intuitive, works okay between Apple IPhone and Google Chrome but not amazing. Lacks some functionality that would make it easier to use. Overly complicated in some areas like creating new items.
Where is search
On iPhone the search button is on the main page. On the iPad I have to go find the search button.
Time Saver
I love how quick and seamless logging on can be. I feel more safe and I love the convenience of good secure passwords without having to remember them or write them down.
Horrible time
I have been trying to use 1Password for over a month to replace LastPass I have used for years. It seems to me to NOT be very intuitive. My appeals for assistive guidance with step by step instructions have NOT be answered. With all due respect for the online instructor, it seems it with the assumption that I am iPhone & PC literate enough to easily do what is suggested. I am embarrassed that I'm not able to follow their instructions. I have attempted to copy every LastPass account info to my iPhone 1Password account. It's been over a month since I have been able to do online banking. I have not deleted my LastPass account and I have to refer to it anytime I hope I can still log in somewhere. I have, I think, made the changes to my iPhone to always use 1Password to log in somewhere. It works sometimes, as with Amazon.com. I fully realize I, although I am able to fully function using PCs, iphones, printers, faxes, etc. I am still now a 76 yrs. old, disabled veteran from a brain tumor, with a BBA Marketing/Economics; a Master Of Religious Education from a major theological seminary; USNavy CT2 (R) Naval Security Group; a former National and International Sales Rep. in Publishing; ... I tell you that not to crow about anything but to give you an idea of I have a little experience using technology. I know there are thousands who can use 1Password if it so easy to use and who have used LastPass for a long time up until it's problem with security. I highly recommend that you take another close look at the NEED for trained customer service people with the skill to guide people like me to transition from LastPass to 1Password. Top-tier
Not only is this the best password manager money can buy, but the company also continues to buck the downward spiral of apps and app stores by publishing patch notes that don’t just insult their users (hi Match Group). Edit: one star off for falling to the same “we fixed some bugs nbd” patch notes as the rest of my apps. At least Signal’s still trying….

Why is it so hard to give us an easy to find/use “search” button?
Step backwards
Why does it take 3 or 4 clicks to search my passwords when I first open the app? Why did the search field move from its convenient location? Isn’t searching like the first thing literally anyone does?

Terrible experience
I have been dealing with your broken system for many months. It has been an unrelenting slog to get the password manager to stop logging me out. I have contacted you many times and unfortunately get back to me at days later at your convenience not at mine. I have to put in my master login ID every time I try to go onto a website. So it’s as if I don’t have a password manager.
Can’t upload docs from OneDrive
Generally this is a great app, but last night I was trying to upload some docs from OneDrive using the iOS app and they just wouldn’t load. I ended up having to load using the app on my windows 11 PC instead.

Support barely responds. I’ve been waiting on a resolution and response to my support request for weeks.
Indispensable
User since 2012, Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad, my productivity requires 1Password. 1357 items stored, searchable, available across my device. It is my database of everything private.
Money Grubbing Developer
I have used the paid app for years and it was easy and reasonably priced. But, then as the years went on they added junk I just don’t need and skyrocketed the price with the excuse of R&D is expensive. Well good for them. I don’t need complicated! I need easy to use and reasonably priced products. $50 a year for an app I can get for MUCH LESS that suits my needs is where I’ll spend my dollars. These guys think they have you hooked, well, they don’t! Go somewhere else for less. Most of your customers can’t afford your prices and really don’t need 2/3 of the junk in the app…
Good but not great
Good password manager. Slowly improving after the awful rewrite in electron but still has flaws such as demanding password re entry after 14 days even after setting it to 30 days. The recently announced price increases mean I will be looking for an alternative.
Not any of my passwords have transferred.
I have to relook all of them up and put them in and they still don’t resave.
Price hike
Great product. Have been using for 5 years. But just migrated all my passwords to another service as the price hike from £31.99 to £49.99/year is unreasonable.
Intensely Safe, Secure, and Well-Built!
We have been using 1Password for years now and love it to pieces. It has been incredibly reliable and stable and we use it for everything. It is that good. We have never had an issue or any kind of infiltration into our information. Well done folks!!! Don't go away and don't get bought out!!!!!!! Please.

Not as helpful as before. Opening takes me to categories rather than favourites or most used. Updates should keep things organised the same way but with additional ability to change if you wish not to force changes i don’t wish for

Unlock with device is the only option outside of face ID. Unlock with code no longer toggles on and off. You should be able to choose unlock with code on its own.
I want to love it
I’ve been a user since version 7 and happily switched to subscription since I was happy to support a company building such critical software. Lately though there are such a number of annoying bugs and each time the fix a few they introduce a bunch more. Syncing between the safari extension and app is flaky. With today’s update the search bar no longer works when adding related items to an entry. Editing secure notes feels like going through a bouncy castle. What on earth is happening there?? They are slowly losing my trust through paper cuts 😔
