Have been using for over 30 years and they have never let me down…or crashed. That’s good for me.
Wouldn’t check me in and logged me out.
Although my app was set up and I received a notification to check in. When I pressed the check in button, the whole system rolled around for a minute and then the app crashed and logged me out of my account.
DUMBING DOWN?
I have recently been advised that my Bank of Melbourne credit cards would no longer work with Velocity. BoM didn’t seem to know anything about the changes and could not offer me an alternative so I apparently have no way of redeeming points? What’s going on??

The airline is great but the need for two apps defies logic and is nonsense The app developers might not use the apps as if they did they would realise that having two apps for one product is silly
Password issues revulo
Frequently I get locked out of my account due to password. I use a password passport so password is not incorrect. If they could fix that issue I’d rate it better but having to speak to an agent to reset your password for their faulty app is super annoying.

The app has become far too complicated. What about one app. Virgin Australia. Not two that refer to each other for which you need continuously to sign in. Resign in then sign in again. KISS principle. Keep it simple stupid.
Very slow app
For whatever reason, the app is the slowest it has EVER been. To load flight destination and flicking from points to no points is painstaking, it takes over 20 seconds each time per option. I don’t know which update this started to occur with exactly, but I’d say it’s been like this the last 7 months atleast. Please FIX this. I’ve resorted to booking with other carriers purely because of this alone. It is also an issue in the website and not just app.

New to Velocity. Could not find how to check in via the app. Not intuitive or clear. Frustrating.

App won’t work
Every time I hit ‘log in’ it sends a code to my phone number. I enter the code, hit log in and then it loads and kicks me out saying ‘Something went wrong!’. It’s been doing this since I downloaded the app. What can I do to fix this?
Reward seats
There needs to be a more simpler way to see what treats seats are available. Please refer to Qantas website where it’s easy to see on what dates seats are available. Thx

Poor Conditions
Even when you get a premium status, points more than enough and there are empty spaces you cannot get an upgrade, doesn’t make sense to flight with Virgin, you pay as tier 1 and you get low cost services
What’s happened .!
Since the upgrade this app is now confusing to navigate and then when wanting to check k your status it asks for passwords again. The breakup on the categories does not make sense . Along with I seem to have points misting & status missing since the upgrade .. you need to streamline it back to the fantastic app it was And the count down of points the good old circle worked much better the the platinum plus stuff makes zero sense. Overall need a visual overhaul .

Platinum membership is a scam, don’t fall for it!
Frequently flying, I was upgraded to platinum last year and (supposedly) entitled to four business class upgrades. Now back to gold as not flying enough, and in the year prior, I was not able to redeem a single one of those upgrades. I had to buy a more expensive flexible fare to use the upgrade, and from then it was a gamble rather than a rewarding experience in any way whatsoever. Business class WAS AVAILABLE on Virgin’s website as well as on flight centre for the flight I was booked onto. But when I had my flexible fare, all I got was stupid excuses like I’m ’not eligible’, ‘I am waitlisted’, ‘all booked out’, ‘no availability’ and other corporate bull***t words with no real explanation behind them. In some flights, business class seats were even left vacant after I unsuccessfully tried to redeem my upgrade. On other occasions, the call center told me I should wait until the day of the flight, only to hear by then that business class is full. In conclusion, Virgin promises ‘rewards’ in glossy ads, but then goes out of its way to make sure you’re never getting them redeemed, while expecting you to pay higher flexi fare even if not needed, just to access this type of gambling scam. You are being told you’re a distinguished guest, but other guests are more distinguished and take the vacant seats before you until all taken, while you’re told to ‘wait’. For an intoxicated tourist traveling Australia-Bali return this may be an acceptable level of service, but it is in no way appropriate for an airline that wants to be taken seriously as a business travel carrier. Apart from lounge access, my experience was shamefully disappointing and in no single way ‘rewarding’ at all.

Terrible Booking Section
Update after update and this app still has the worst booking section in the planet. You try to book your flights and it takes you to an internal browser that barely works. It takes an insane amount of time to load up and it’s as glitchy as it could ever be. You simply can’t do anything with it. It feels like they do this on purpose to discourage you from using it at all. I hope once and for all they’ll fix this, as they’re way behind the competition.
