Please bring back the Apple TV app
This is a great resource, and a very well-written app. I often watch on my Apple TV, through AirPlay. This is ok-ish, but would be far better with a native app. You used to have one, back in the Lynda days. Please bring it back. Thanks!
Can’t watch 2X or 3x speed
Some presenter talk slow or just need quick 2x review
Toast notifications are frustrating!
They block content and don’t disappear without input, plus they’re stacked — I can’t clear them all at once. This is a frustrating experience when bookmarking content for future watching.
Update the app icon for iOS
Can no one at LinkedIn be bothered to update the iOS app icon so that it works properly with customizations like dark mode, clear, and tinted? Maybe you’re all too busy illegally spying on users computers? LMK.
Very buggy platform and app
Even the login is buggy. But even worse, the entire platform is full of bugs like how certificates save. Customer service is non-existent. They let anyone post learning content and that is allowing so much low quality courses to be available.
Underrated Blessing
I have obtained MULTIPLE FREE certifications through LinkedIn learning! & I don't mean pointless certs that anyone could take with their eyes closed lol. I've literally received proof of passing courses, which look HELLA GOOD on a resume! Don't sleep on the free trainings. They can elevate your career, mindset, as well as overall outlook on life and where you want it to take you! Forever grateful for the opportunity to learn about practically anything under the sun, at a self paced rate, and also receive a certification and optional badge to embed into websites, social media, display directly on your LinkedIn profile, etc! You never know who's watching & may reward you for investing your time and energy into taking the initiative to learn a skill (or ten lol) on your own!
Worthless. Login is broken.
The app is no good if it has login bugs preventing you from even being able to use it.
I like the app but…
I like the app. I just wish there was a dark mode feature. I want to learn but have it be easy on the eyes as well.
UX is gross and the devs should probably take a few courses
Using this app is awful. Navigation is a painful experience and the devs and/or product owner needs to take few courses to understand how they should be desigining apps. This is a nightmare of apps and it doesn't even listen for intents from my browser. Poor ecosystem.
So close to great
So many good things about LinkedIn Learning, so many missed opportunities to be Great. For example, I am watching on a tablet with a keyboard connected. The video cannot be moved forward or backwards with standard arrow keys as you would with many other video codecs. This causes me to pause in my learning to make the video navigate while I am actively following along. This wastes my time and attention to the content. This one change to their codec would make learning so much more efficient.

Delete. I have NO idea why you would think I'd give you a pic of my government ID to use your app lol. I have to go through tge most stringent captcha to login, then get an authenticator code, sounds like you're not handling hackers well. Byeeeeee I don't need your outdated website.

Very good update however carplay is not working perfectly it keeps crashing, please add also support for apple tv
Volume goes up and down while using Bluetooth
Nothing is more annoying while using this app with headphones that the volume goes full max or low by its self. It’s this app because I have tested it on other apps and volume works fine. It’s on my when using this app does my volume full max them low max. Please address this glitch in the app
Airplay is audio only
Would like to see Airplay working on this or at least give us Chromecast support.

Poor UX design, many things are missing on this app and is difficult to keep up with trying figure many different issues
Terrible UX
The UI used to be great. The recent change to white playback controls without even a hint of the border, makes them 100% invisible when the presenter uses white background for the video stage.
Issue with Overheating and Battery drain
I’ve recently using the app to watch videos, but I’ve encountered couple of issues. First, when using the app and playing the videos phone gets really hot on the backside, making it uncomfortable to hold with bare hands. Second major issue is the battery drain - after just 1.5 hrs of app usage the battery usage was at 66%. Currently, the app is not energy efficient. App version: 2025.0109.1008
Good Content but Glitchy App
It has robust content, but the mobile app cannot air play. Knocked it down a few stars for the airplay issue.
Exceptional
Love the app and it’s wonderfully designed courses. It’s easy to use and has plenty of wonderful indicators to keep you motivated towards your goal. I especially like how they consciously keep the length of each video less than 5 minutes so that you can continue to make progress one small step at a time. Stay consistent and you get a nice certificate to add on your LinkedIn profile in the end. Love it !
Can’t log in
Loading screens gets hung after being prompted to log in. The webpage loads to “create account” but I can’t access the account I’ve had for 14 years.
Video controls are not visible in white background
The video controls are right in the middle of the screen and they become invisible when the background is white. It’s almost impossible to pause the video and play it back with a white background. The videos, specially in the IT category has a white background. The video controls should be in the lower left corner.
No app visual customizations
Not able to see the video controls in videos where video matches text color. No options to adjust this.

Precise courses and good teachers
I am going through courses of my domain and lateral as well. Found good teachers with precise syllabus.

The play pause button is Invisible.
The play pause button is invisible whenever the background is white , And it is really really annoying , not able to pause.
Poor Video Navigation UI
The content of the app is great, but the on screen video navigation buttons are not well thought through and difficult to see. The Play, fast forward, and skip buttons are all solid white. When you are viewing content that also has a white background (which is most videos), you cannot see these buttons because they are the same color. This issue can be easily remedied by adding a drop shadow or colored outline to the navigation buttons or adding the pause, fast forward, or skip buttons to the bottom of the video.
iPad
App is not worked with iPad , always asking for update apps. Which App Store can’t able update . It should be compatible with any most last iOS version
Poor Quality Courses
I’ve took over 20 courses on this app and maybe 2 were decent. There’s a total lack of continuity, failure to convey information, poor visuals or examples, lack of proper assessments, and no actual projects/activities. Majority of these “teachers” have no idea how to share information. You’ll feel like ur spending ur time effectively, but you will learn nothing and get a certificate that makes you feel like you did.
LinkedIn learning download feature is not working
Unable to download videos using mobile data. When switching to mobile data option in the app preferences on it is now allowing to do so.
Consistent Video Resolution & Video Player Buttons not visible on Light backgrounds
I wish it’s there was a way to keep the video quality on in a constant resolution and not change the resolution based on the internet speed. Of course, the other way is to download the video in the resolution that you want, but streaming it in a resolution as an option would be nice, please add that, into the video player also on the video player, whenever there is white background, the buttons to play, pause, skip or rewind 10 seconds are invisible.
Content is good; interface needs improvement
I use this daily as it is provided by work. The content for my roles as a system administrator, solutions architect, and cloud engineer is ok but could have more advanced topics. Learning has mostly entry level stuff and some intermediate stuff. One important thing is that it is very difficult to use on mobile. When videos are playing, the controls are white and usually impossible to see unless on a bery dark slide. They should really put a gradient behind the buttons for visibility.

AirPlay is broken
Not sure why but the mobile website constantly locks up and the app does not properly support airplay.
No option for changing streaming video quality in the app
Although there us option for download video quality, there us no option for selecting streaming video quality in the app. Course videos are dynamically lowering resolution even on a 100mbps connection. This is irritating, written words become hazy constantly. There should be an option for a static resolution.
Video are buffering and getting stuck frequently
Linked in Learning videos are buffering and getting stuck every 30 seconds . Making impossible to learn anything . My internet speed is stable at 300 mbps and this happens only on iPad . Pls rectify ….
Fix the play/pause buttons
The app is mostly good, but the choice to make the play/pause button white does not work considering most videos have a white background. There need to be a black backing behind the buttons (like subtitles) so you can actually see it.
Great app need appreciation to learner’s
Great app but if maximum goal we can set it to 120min per week it has to be extended and badges something like should be given who crosses or make some milestones
Would be great if the login actually worked
It won’t let me log in with either my LinkedIn or institutional email. I am able to log in on the website so it’s an app issue.
Video quality selection not available

Video player is extremely bad
The player has no option to increase video quality. Even with high speed internet the video quality is 140p, it is impossible to understand what’s going on in the tutorial.
Playback button ui visibility
The playback buttons seems to disappear when placed on a white video background. This wouldn’t be an issue if there would be a dark transparent overlay under the ui playback buttons. Consistently many videos have dark text on white background; making the playback ui buttons disappeared when pulled up to rewind or play next. Please fix this for iOS devices

I think it is very expensive. It could be a lot cheaper. Family packages should be made available at affordable prices. There’s no discount codes either. I had no choice but to go with KelbyOne which is much cheaper on black friday sale. I was hopping I would receive an offer email from Linked in for Black Friday but nothing received.

I like the app but the lack of in app note taking on an online learning platform is a pretty big gap IMO. I Look forward to LI adding this functionality and will update my review then.
