Mobile version needs work
I wanted to start studying on my phone to pass time instead of playing phone games but it freezes in between me submitting my work, and it rarely lets you resume after restarting, my last straw was it lagging to the point where it selected ai assistance without my consent, making me lose points 😤

It is good on mobile but on a tablet it takes only some space and lefts the other space blank.

Not a native iPad app
On iPad, only useable in Portrait and even then doesn't use the full screen. The developer could do much better.
Bitesize easy to follow tutorials but glitchy app
The actual course and the way it’s structured is simple, easy to follow and easy to learn and apply through their video, theory check, practice method. However the app is glitchy, frequently crashing and forcing me to restart it without it saving where I’d last actually been (often thinking I’ve completed the bit that it stalled in rather than stalled so been unable to load and complete that section). If it weren’t for the bugs this app would get 5 stars but it’s so frustrating and disruptive to the flow that I’m giving it 3.

I’m only beginning the sql course on their mobile app and few times I entered the query and it’s stuck at the results, loading and the wheels spinning. I clicked home to exit and lost all the progress. If it keeps happening then I would like a refund. Update: it’s still buggy. The answer I wrote is logically the same as the answer key but I was marked wrong. It’s so frustrating.

No way to get transcripts
If you have a Premium Individual account (like I’ve had for years), there is no way to get a tabular list of all courses completed.
Great programs, poor app
The app is majorly glitchy. Hard to navigate if you leave off in the middle of a chapter/ course. Really unfortunate since the training courses are well structured.
Love this app.
The UX is smooth and inviting. The game vacation is fun and nudging, and the actual knowledge itself is the perfect mix of being easily digestible and full of nutrition. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

iPad version freezes. Unusable.

Opening pagination terrible
Opening the App on iPad Pro 13’ is terrible as it opens full screen but only takes up two thirds of the screen with usable graphics. Looks wrong. Have to resize smaller then larger to fix. Not the best setup.
The app needs work
I love the product that they provide, I have been able to learn very powerful, applicable skills. However, the app needs a lot of work. This is an app that focuses on teaching programming for data science, and it is shocking that a dark mode is not available.

Can’t sign into the app with Google Sign-In
Bugs. Unable to sign into the app at all with Google sign in. Just takes me to a blank Safari screen. Tried restarting iphone and deleting and reinstalling. Nothing works. Deleting app until this is fixed.
Great App, needs more content
The app is fantastic, content is great, but once you finish the few courses available it becomes about daily streaks of practice. I’d love to see more R content and a few more do the desktop courses within the app. There hasn’t been any new content in a while!

Social login issues when using google
Social login does not work when using google on iPhone. The safari browser just stops loading.
Great for learning but crashes a lot
It’s a great little app to learn R. I’ve been trying to learn it for my PhD data analysis and found this app to be incredibly useful. I noticed I understand a lot more after doing the course and exercises than I did before from watching a few videos and reading a book. It would be a significantly better experience on there mobile app if it didn’t crash whenever I submit an answer in the intermediate r course as I get annoyed with having to rewrite my answers, restart when that doesn’t work and have to do it all over again.

I just got the subscription and downloaded the app a few days ago. I’m disappointed with how many bugs this app has when trying to do exercises and write code. I have to constantly leave the app, close it and then go back in
Great organisation. Good app, but needs to be more user focused
Ahead of my feedback, I do think what Datacamp are doing and what they offer is seriously impressive! So, please see my recommendations as constructive! :) Whilst the learning material is incredibly comprehensive, the following would enhance the user experience significantly: 1) Allow the user to download the content on the phone. I often commute into work and the signal isn’t powerful enough to download the lessons, or coursework. To be able to do this ahead of my commute would be really helpful, so that I can do them on my commute would be SUPER helpful (I’m sure I’m not the only one!). Or perhaps there’s another way, ie you can limit the quality of the visuals based on the network strength (like Spotify do to load songs quick)... 2) Every time a user completes a module (in a track), they should receive a certificate of completion. They should be then able to see their completed modules alongside their certificates in their certificates portfolio. 3) The certificates of completion should be: a) Signed and dated by the DataCamp tutor, or authorised person. This is a function of Memo (similar app - but better gamified), so the certificates have greater significance to people that want to show their bosses etc. or are interviewing. b) Viewable and downloadable certificates (of courses, tracks, etc) in the app as PDFs. c) The user should get an automatic email sent to them with the certificate as PDF on completion. 4) The current user experience of trying to find personally started tracks, or favourited travks is complicated and unintuitive. A user should be able to ‘favourite’ or ‘add track to library’. It’s unclear how you save tracks or add tracks to your library. 5) The tracks and courses in the library should be easier to filter on. There should be a mechanism by which a user can filter on their: A) Tracks. Here they could view their tracks either by: saved and not stsrted, saved and started, saved and completed, or all the above B) Courses. Here they could view their courses either by: saved and not stsrted, saved and started, saved and completed, or all the above 6) Finding tracks in the ‘Tracks section’ is complicated and unintuitive to use. You’re just greeted by heaps of unordered tracks with a search bar. Quite unuseful IMO. And SO MUCH GOOD STUFF IS HIDDEN!!! As a user, you want to be able to view the tracks in a somewhat ordered format (as a whole), so you have a better understanding of how incredibly comprehensive the DataCamp store is. Rather, it’s not easy to navigate or understand, but to fix this a user should be able to: A) filter by: language, learning type (data science, engineering, databases, length of course, most popular etc) B) sort by: Alphabetical, most popular, 7) A user should be able to update more of their personal in the app, eg name, job title etc. rather than have to navigate online. 8) Currently, a user has to complete a whole lesson segment to achieve their streak for that day. This is too much IMO. Often this can take the best part of 15mins/more to work through. A user should only have to complete half of that lesson to achieve their streak. It’s demoralising when something gets in the way, you can’t complete it (that day) and lose the streak. Further, you should be able to use your XP points to reinstate your streak (like Memo does). They gamify the learning experience really well. 9) In the SQL section, the tutor often displays ‘how the code is written’ vs ‘how the code runs’. But numbers are never assigned on the presentation itself visually (and it’s only by listening) can you interpret the way it runs. It would be better to order it the way it runs numerically in the tutorial visually so the user can understand it better. 10) Often I watch the tutorials without my headphones, as I’m around family, or commuting. It would be beneficial that my preferences of 1.25 speed and Subtitles ‘English’ are remembered (as how I watched my last tutorial) by the app, instead of having to select those preference every time. So, it uses my most recent preferences by default, obviously with the option of changing them. 11) The homepage of the app is messy, with too much going on. Reminds me of Microsoft news on Edge web browser (by default), way too much going on! Maybe create a new page for the current stuff on the homepage, like could even be called ‘Other’ in the footer navbar… As I see it, there’s 3 main things a user wants to do and should be shown on the homepage: a) continue their last course, b) find a new course, c) see how far they are off a track or job certification That’s about it. DataCamp itself is a great organisation and is doing great things, but the mobile app needs a bit more work. Thanks for everything you’re doing for the community and keep it up!! :)

This is my Go-To IDE mobile learning environment! I LOVE IT! I have been using this for the last four years and it’s truly powered me up on my coding skills! I love that they provide environments for you to run your code also so you can access it on your mobile device! When I’m bored, I open up a challenge of the day and I challenged myself. I just love this app! Thanks!
Buggy (mobile is better)
Loses connectivity to internet, gets stuck between slides, and overall very buggy on the desktop version. For an app that charges what datacamp does, not having an effective desktop version where most coding is done is an egregious oversight. Disappointed that mobile is the only option for sustainable access to the app.
Great app, could use more sound
I love how easy it makes learning SQL, but when I use it I feel something is lacking. I only just figured out it is because it does not feature sounds when navigating the interface as other coding apps such as Google Grasshopper have. Like I said though, I love the app and it's making SQL very accessible for me :)
Unusable on iPad 10
I’ve been using DataCamp on my iPad 10th gen, and while the app is fine for watching tutorials , I’ve had consistent issues when trying to type code. Every time I type more than two lines of code and switch back to the requirements, the app freezes. This has happened every single time, which makes it really frustrating to use for coding exercises. I hope this gets fixed soon.
39$ per month is outrageous
First lesson is free and then this. Have no words. Definitely willing to pay to learn but this is not reasonable. I am not willing to even try it once as it is so much. Disappointed there are no other options

They promised a discount on Microsoft certification, but never sent the code. Technical support was unable to resolve the situation.
Compatibility issue on IOS device
Urgent Feedback - please consider this on priority the application has compatibility issue in IOS device while entering code to run it doesn’t allow to write code and run as application suddenly shut off moreover i have start application again but issue is still same.kindly check and expedite the issue and provide resolution. Good when you have internet connection
Was hoping to practice while on flights. But there doesn’t seem to be an offline function. And if there is, it’s not immediately apparent and easy to find, decreasing the usability. Otherwise, past experience with the app/browser when internet is freely available, is fine.
Great app, not easy to cancel subscription
Love this app! It has everything I need. I haven’t had enough free time to use it so I decided to cancel my subscription. I had to contact support to find a link to unsubscribe and even when I tried to unsubscribe, I was shown other screens to continue selling me. The link to manage subscriptions is very small. Seems like the company doesn’t want to make it easy to manage your account.

Lack of iPad support still
The iPad support is completely lacking. I used to be able to use it in landscape mode but that no longer works. This means I cannot use the keyboard to write the exercises out. This makes the app unusable. Using the onscreen keyboard is not a viable option.

Not good
This app is very confusing. I enrolled in one of the career tracks and when tried to access on my iPhone it suggested that I download the app for a “better” experience...but when I did the tracks fail to load..disappointing
Good app but needs immediate attention
There is a bug while generating plots using matplotlib.pyplot …. Labels are not visible on the graph not even axis - developers plz look into it Plz add flash cards for all courses, it’s good for revision
Great Tool for Learning and Developing on the Go
I’m satisfied with the experience. There are some instructors that are pretty dry and their voice makes me want to sleep. Nevertheless, it’s a great tool to learn. I do have a wishlist though. Give more examples of practical use in the slides. Make the slides downloadable with proper file names instead of Chapter 1… Make a single download per course. Add the bloody DataLab subscription to your mobile subscription list for crying out loud. I’m not a fan of having to cancel a mobile subscription because I don’t get that money back. And I don’t want to pay for a whole new year subscription to then turn around and another $90 for DataLab. So annoying.
Poor Quality all around
While being able to self-learn is great and a breakthrough, the offering is very basic overall quality is quite poor in curriculum construction (lazy), and the audio quality is absolutely horrendous for this day and age compared to other offerings. Most can be understood; however sometimes the record is so poor, the speech sounds slurry and slushy and the words just mush together incomprehensibly. I used Linked In Classes 5 years ago, which were far better all the way around in instructional delivery and quality.
