An awesome app
This is an awesome app! It’s like a coding Duolingo and I learned coding in no time
Terrible app functionality
The app itself is pretty awful. It constantly logs me out for no reason and the password reset doesn't work, it just circles around from the email to the app but doesn't actually reset.
Awesome, but wish for offline mode
I am retired and living nomadically sailing around the world. I really really enjoy using Sololearn and stopped for quit a while, as it has not been available for me to use offline when I am offshore without paying ocean mode fees by the gigabyte for Starlink. As well I wanted to share it with remote village schools and was even thinking of doing a go fund me to get them tablets and Sololearn, but without a offline mode it is not possible. Sad…

It’s ok, but not for me
I downloaded this app because I was curious. I work in AI as a conversation designer so I tried the AI Agents for Beginners. It was fine at first. Very basic information that’s suitable for beginners. Then it basically threw me to the wolves with the Talking to the Model lesson and as someone who has very limited experience with Python, it was not helpful at all. I assumed the coding would be explained in some detail, but nope. It just assumed I knew what was going on. I wish there was a warning for needing to know Python beforehand. Also would be helpful to have documentation on the lessons just for people who want to dive a little deeper and have a more robust understanding of what they’re learning. I can see how this can be helpful for a lot of people, this just isn’t for me. I think I’m better off reading a book.
Great App
It really keeps your attention to keep learning and is helping me improve on my skill as a programmer
too much learning
I downloaded the app to learn C++ and watch ads, but unfortunately you have to do a lesson before your advertisement for a premium subscription, then skip over a premium lesson to the next lesson. This is very inconvenient because I am forced to do lessons just to see ads. please fix your app so I can see more ads, it would really improve the experience.

Too greedy
+:It’s really good and the practice can be very tricky sometimes which is good for learning Also has comments on each level, where people can help each other with solutions and explanation. Honestly, I think it’s the best part of this app. -: To do most of the stuff you need to have premium. Half of the lessons only with premium, and even in these lessons half of it is also needs premium. To get an explanation( from ai lol) u also need premium… You only have 5 hearts each day and you can only get more with premium or like 100 coins, which takes too long to get:/ most of the time such greedy apps at least suggest watching an ad to get free hearts, but not this app ig…
Don’t treat your students like they don’t count
I am an experienced IT person who hasn’t been hands-on in a while. Much of Sololearn is great. The support is abhorrent. It took months th have a simple question answered. All answers are supremely condescending, trite, lacking any real answers. Where do they get these people? Why do they let this happen? Who is minding the store?
Good pacing
I am truly a beginner but very curious when it comes to tech and the things that relate. So much so I have been watching videos on how to build computers or how computer science came to be. This app is apart of that journey for me and has made learning code easy and fun. I am actually able to have conversations about coding and understand it now, shows movies they all look different now lol, I look forward to the continued lessons and what else is in store for Sololearn.
Great App

Beginner coder
So far so freakin good. I’ve only done a handful of free lessons in both C# and Python but so far I’m pretty impressed. Other reviewers said it reminds them of Duolingo and I agree. I can see how these lessons can get addictive. It’s not currently in the funds to purchase the subscription right now but I think I would consider it further down the line.

Честно,не вижу смысла учить ЯП в данном приложении,даже для думающего человека тут места нету,как начинающий человек я сразу потерял интерес к данному продукту,жадность разработчика уже в первом уроке поражает,выпрашивать у ученика деньги за решение потенциального задания глупо,когда оно не правильно сформулировано,в первом же уроке обьясняют функции которые должны присутствовать явно не на начале пути,вместо этого правильнее обьяснить команды для вывода текста на экран, переменные,а потом уже функции src,alert,про которые очень плохо рассказывают,реально,я не понимал про функцию alert половину ПЕРВОГО своего урока,куда там про src,вместо того что бы учить как правильно ставить скобки,лучше реально сделайте у себя в офисе глоу ап для приложения,поработайте над формулировкой текста,корректно распределить темы уроков.

Good ig
This app is good for python learners, I just hate the fact that you have to pay for it to explain your answer or to have some of the parts in the lessons run, since I’m broke :P but, other than that it’s pretty gud
Helpful but very annoying
Sololearn does help with learning but the free plan locks you out 60% of lessons sometimes, and most opportunities to actually type code in lesson, the heart system is very frustrating, a couple miss clicks and you are locked of the app for the rest of the day.
This uses C coding NOT C#
The C# module is not in the C# language
Fun Programed Learning
This is a style of instruction from long ago. Break into simple topics and build from the basics. Good Stuff! Easy and productive .
Typos
You should make it so if someone makes a typo the still get it correct. I made a typo and it got rid of all my stars. Also onetime I was playing and clicked the correct answer, it said it was wrong so I tried the others and they were also incorrect so I tried the original one and it was correct.
Good but I don’t want pro
Look, the app is good and made me learn a LOT of stuff, but when I’m trying to do a part it says that it’s “pro only” and I don’t wanna do the free trial, other than that it’s a good app
Not the best
It’s an alright app but honestly when you practise it’s a bit unhelpful becuase you can find out how you went wrong without paying extra so you sorta have to keep guessing until you get the right answer and I asked chat gpt and a lot of my ‘wrong answers’ would have been fine for normal phython it just wasn’t alexactly what the app wanted
Why does it have a heart system.
I wish there was one coding app that could actually help you. I mean this helps but it gives you 5 lives, its not a game, its an educational app. Why cant it just let us make mistakes? Thats what learning is! I get frustrated when i answer something wrong, this is ruining my experience of learning c#. Unfortunately i cannot find any alternative other than chatgpt which also stops working after many questions.
Easy to follow, bite sized learning.
The gamification helps make it fun and easier to stick with as a habit. My only wish is that I wish the help tips / “why you got it correct” was not just a paid AI-feature. But otherwise, I’m enjoying the journey so far!

Why is pro mode needed
Sure the free version is really good the pro mode just makes it annoying that I cannot access at least essential features

At first the app was fine. They then hid a trial subscription, waited until it ended, and charged me 70 for a yearly subscription.
Best, but not the best
Sololearn can get you from level 1 to level ♾️, but you can't make any interactive codes on Python, Java, c#, c, c++, etc. The only coding language you can make interactive is Web (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Please make it possible to make interactive on other types of codes than Web.
Pricing
This app shows Monthly charge of Inr 169 but if i subscribe annually it gives a 40% discount and asks for a payment of 4349 . Is this math right? How??
Spanish answers
The AI says the words in Spanish sometimes, but although the app is very good
Better than Doulingo
As you may know Doulingo has “energy” blek! This app runs on hearts, both matching the theme of code a video game, and leaving its customers feeling content.
Unable to Cancel
The Reality vs. The Ad: I signed up for the free trial based on an advertisement claiming this was in a game format. It is not a game at all. The advertising is completely misleading. The Cancellation Nightmare: Trying to cancel this subscription has been an absolute nightmare. I have tried every possible avenue, and they have essentially trapped me into paying: In-App: The app tells me to cancel through the "third party" I obtained it from. App Store & Apple Account: It does not show up anywhere under my subscriptions or purchase history. Company Website: There is no cancellation option available on their site. Customer Support: I have sent multiple emails begging for assistance with cancellation. The responses are incredibly slow, unhelpful, and have provided zero resolution. Current Status: I am still subscribed, still being charged, and the company has made it physically impossible to cancel through normal channels. Since customer service refuses to fix this, my next step is contacting my bank to report these fraudulent charges and block further payments. Save your money and your sanity—do not download or sign up for this.
Good but to many promotions
At the end of each lesson it advertises the pro version, the app is great but this irritates me so - 1 star
Great App but some problems
It’s great but the AI is talking to me in Spanish, I know it’s meant to be like Duolingo for coding I don’t think it’s a great feature, I also now need to wait 24 hours to do the task (on pro) again, even though my answer was right. I’m sure when this is fixed it will be a great feature but I probably won’t be continuing with pro.

I like the app however the paid is to much I think u should change it from having 5 hearts to energy like Duolingo I start with 25 and then you can get unlimited energy with ur premium and it is easier for hearts to regen

i started from absolutely nothing and this app makes it easy to understand. i’ve only gotten through the getting started portion but im really happy it actually instructs you and tells you why you get things wrong. my only complaint is the wildly long wait time for more hearts when you lose them, kinda gets me out of the mood to be actively learning and trying to get better because why do i still have over 2 hours before one refills, which im assuming is either quicker or no wait with the paid version.
Use to be good.
This app use to be really good. The new version has tons of adds, and more and more parts of the program are locked behind payment options. :(
Great Practice - Wish I Could Tab Between Text Boxes
This is a great app, but people on iPads will end up using keyboards to code faster. This also means that people will expect to be able to Tab through text boxes like in any other app or site.
Good for getting the basics
I’ve been really enjoying my time with sololearn and its helped reinforce the basics of programming in various languages. Being able to do quick bite sized lessons daily and little bug fixing minigames are great fun. However some extra advanced materials with bigger projects would be great. I’ve found UI bugs on the answer selections at the bottom to be really common since about month ago and haven’t been fixed as of yet. Not a great look for an app aimed at teaching the creation of apps! Some courses are also much better presented than others with the odd questions being explained better than others. To add to this there has also been a long standing bug where your feedback is in Spanish. This has been long reported in the community with no fix. Very poor from a company with an expensive asking price.
Good
It’s a good app but if you don’t pay you will miss out on a lot of examples and learning. There’s also bug hunting which takes away all your hearts as you have to learn how to explain the bug to there AI which is none to clever. There are better that are free and offer a recognised certificate upon completion.
Quick and simple
Feels like Duolingo, just did three lessons during a commute to work. Love it.
Take a test first
Literally makes you answer 20 or so questions before even letting you into the stupid app. All of that just to sell you on their plan.

Message to Sololearn
Great idea (like duolingo but for code), except they’ve got the monetisation wrong. Unlike duolingo and other apps like this, Sololearn makes it very difficult to use the app for free. Whilst it makes sense that you want to make money from users, the issue is that there are simply better apps and sites to learn code for £. It would be wise for Sololearn to have the app perform better for free users (the current pro version should be free) and then monetise the app in other ways such as additional advanced courses that are highly reputable for this such as a strong ‘practical’ element - with these being pay to use. By enhancing the free experience it would keep your user base growing quickly (like it was previously before the free version was nerfed) and then give you time to nurture the audience into paying customers. Instead what has happened is growth metrics have been chased with a short term approach, and because of that this app will decline and eventually die.
You cannot access to many modules if you’re free user.
