Glitchy app
App shuts off seconds after being opened. It does this repeatedly before it actually stabilizes. Then routing is far more finicky than the garmin app.

Used to be good….
App crashes all the time, doesn’t support relief shading anymore, seems like they’ve sailed off to the Caribbean with everyone’s money, they wouldn’t have been able to navigate there using this app though….
offline maps do not work
I downloaded 2 sections of wrecks i planned to fish using the relief shading when I was connected to wifi and when I went out on the boat and got to my spots, my offline downloaded maps had zero of my pins to show for… other than that, i do find the app easily navigable and user friendly when connected to wifi or service… I just have to screenshot the coordinates to each spot i plan to hit before going out so I can type them in while on the water

Great graphics easy to use
Waste of money
I have tried to use this app for a couple of seasons. At the start it worked fine and was quite useful. Last season, it would lose track of my location usually in important areas, like where I needed to know where I was to set anchor versus running aground or narrow channels with poor markings. This season , it won’t show my location on the map at all. This is a basic map function! I have deleted the app and re- downloaded it with the same issues. I want my money back and will use another app.

Pay for the app and they’ll still ask you to buy “unlock codes” for some areas. It’s a scam.
Waves
What is going on with the waves display? I cannot get the waves report anymore, before that it was the tide! I’m going to cancel my premium subscription if doesn’t get fixed now!

we have used this on more then one crossing of lake michigan. and worked great.
Works then not!
Works sometimes but crashes frequently when ypu switch apps. Today im pff san diego and i cant even get the app to start. I have 5g, I rebooted my phome and it starts and crashes before i het a map 5 Out of sox times. The last time it gets a map, Doesnt bring up a cours or roit and then crashes. Im done. Cancelling subscription
Great app with a reasonable price
The fact you can use this app online for free is a big help. Useful when planning for a sailing trip at home. The fact the UI tab at the bottom often pops up often when not needed is the only complaint I have.
Paid subscription not worth the money!
I paid for the annual fee and the app keeps crashing. All my numbers are on this app and I cannot retrieve it. Developers, I would like a full refund for my trouble.
Good, but buggy.
Out of all the mobile charts that I’ve tried the charting and certain features are great. However, the mobile app is very buggy and the UI could use some improvement.

I did the free at first, then decided to do the paid version. Then when there was an update, it wiped out almost everything I had added . That is when I decided not to pay any longer.

Really good map , cost is just yo there , taking my ski ride on Friday trying to get the map and I got a massive cost to subscribe pretty disappointing that end
Broken for months
Waypoint import has been broken for months and still not fixed. They even posted a blog article 3 months ago acknowledging there is an issue— apparently they can’t figure out hire to fix it. Offline map downloads will constantly fail and you’re met with an error about your sd card (that doesn’t exist in an iPad).
Mast height
Is there a way to put the bridge clearance for the height of my mast? Otherwise known as air clearance. That would be most practical to be able to do so, as it would be very handy and planning a route. I didn’t see a field that enables me to do so in the “my boat”. Let me know. Thank you.!

Super buggy
The app used to be simple and easy to use but lately has become super buggy. Offline downloads don’t work. Trying to rename a downloaded map - nope. Non responsive screens etc. Last update was 2 months ago. Come on, guys???

I appreciate the details provided by the app, but get very frustrated with the app frequently closing down for no apparent reason.

C-MAP is an amazing tool to have when it comes to boating. It has helped me out for the last few years ,I rely on it more than my boats gps.
Glitchy at best
This app used to be my go to for navigation on inland lakes and the Great Lakes. The app is buggy as can be. It continuously loses my gps location, navigation, etc. it kills any other music app that is playing while it is open. I had to completely delete it and reload it because it kept getting stuck on the settings page with just a spinning gear. I checked for updates to the app, hard rebooted my phone and still the same results each time. This is disappointing from an app that used to be so reliable.
Unable to connect with support or view faq
For some reason the support site does not appear to be working I’m a little unsure about this product, I clicked on a map region and got the message only subscribers can unlock this region, but I can’t find anywhere to do this.. and even despite this it’s downloading something I cannot view. Lack of NMEA integration is very limiting.
Looks great, but no tide data.
The app is much more user friendly than Navionics. Chart colour scheme is great, overall scrolling and zooming experience is excellent. All the app controls are well laid out. Unfortunately it’s incomplete for navigation tasks because there is no tide data. With that integrated it would be easily the best app on the market for navigation.
HRB stop showing up when I have them checked. Custom shading not showing as well.
Why did my hrb stop showing. I have no contours. No shading. Everything is checked and subscription is current.

Missing C-maps
Hi guys wondering when the App will be up and running again as we are unable to still log in to our account. We are sailing Tasmania in the winter wonderland and we are missing this app cheers
Best Cartography no Tidal flow information
I have been using this now for a couple of months. The charts and auto routing are fantastic. There are some minor gripes, distance measures in kilometres whilst everything else is in Nm, tidal height callus too large. By far the single biggest shortcoming of is the absence of tidal flow information. If C maps can fix this then this, bingo, a viable and very attractive alternative to Navionics - I’ll subscribe until then, without tidal current info I guess it’s good for navigating the med. and lakes?
Once great.
This app was once great. Since the update a year or so ago I can no longer see full detail shader relief maps unless in mobile coverage whereas previously I could use them in full detail everywhere. Completely leaving the app useless when offshore and the downloadable offline maps show zero detail in comparison so are also useless. The app logs me off for inactivity at lease twice a day out forcing me to log back in using Apple ID which in itself is a nightmare when struggling to get 1 bar of reception. All in all it’s a great app but the recent changes have made it buggy and useless to people seeking reliability offshore…

I wish I could select distance in nm and depth in metres. Surely that's what most people want?! And I'd really like it if I didn't have to restart the app for it to pick up my location even with the location service set to always. So I won't be renewing my subscription as there are better thought through apps out there.

I use this app to do all my trip preplanning and as a secondary navigation aide onboard my vessel. It can have the odd glitch after an IOS update but overall I couldn’t be happier with it.

I had great hopes for this app but several features fail to work on my iPad,notably the route planner and tidal heights. Avoid.
Still buggy
Just updated it again should you try open the app away from internet. The maps don’t load from memory.( Offline maps ) If you got wifi onboard but no internet connection app will not open or crashes. I need wifi onboard all the time for my AIS transponder.

Tons of bugs. Terrible!
This app is a decent price. Has good features but that’s where it ends. It has been working for a week and then crashing on loading for a while. I’ll have to delete the app and reinstall it. Now, it won’t let me turn on HRB or relief shading. When I check them, nothing happens. I’ve tried unchecking them, exiting the app, then reloading. When I open the app back up, they’re checked but it’s still not working. So many bugs. This is terrible. Good luck getting support from C-map too
