Worst of all the airline apps
Absolutely nothing works, in their app or on their site. Not setting a new password, loading seat selection, nothing. How can an airline offer such a good in-flight experience and such a poor online experience.

Unable to Join Emirates Skywards
Trying to join the program and I am stumped. App does not enable the “Join now” option even after I have all mandatory fields populated. Not sure what the error is as it doesn’t show anything that indicates I have incorrect info in there? App just keeps me there and does not provide my next actions!! Tried to close the app and redid it like thrice or more. With travel plans coming I was hoping to use the app for convenience, but I guess not!!
Always I had to add the details manually
Loyalty number and emails need to add manually every time I add new trip even though emirates has all of these details

Feedback Formular innerhalb der App funktioniert nicht. Es kommt eine leere, weiße Seite. Ich wollte eigentlich schreiben, dass es in Dubai immer wieder Rabatte gibt, die man mit der Emirates Sport Karte einfordern kann. Es wäre gut, wenn die alte Bordkarte noch einsehbar wäre, auch nach Ende des Fluges. Des Weiteren finde ich die Upgrade Politik von Economy auf Economy Plus oder auf Business Klasse merkwürdig. Das könnte alles in der App funktionieren, ohne dass sich jemanden von der Hotline anrufen muss.
Sometimes the app works
First of all to my fellow reviewers, my understanding is that these reviews are for the app NOT for the Emirates Airlines, which is fantastic! I’m writing this review because I find the app to be completely useless most of the time. So far any time I’ve tried to do anything on the app, I get an error message. I’ve given up and will simply use their website. I guess I’ll be getting a paper boarding pass too.
Trips not loading
For a while now new trips are no longer loading in my app even though they appear under my account online on the website. When I tried reinstalling the app all the trips that were formerly there disappeared and new trips not adding. The my trips page is empty in the app…

Family account not visible
It would be nice if I could access the family account from the app. Right now I have to find a computer and login, a real pain. So if you can fix it since I am the head of the family account I should be able to see it
Bad experience
Emerate airline! We pay thousand dollars for ticket but the service is so bad! during flight time meal and other drinks are always the same. even you can not prefer what you want. you eat what they gives you!

I keep getting error every time I try to choose my seats. It’s been 3 weeks now !!

App is not working
Unable to make any updates/changes to my itinerary for the past week as the app keeps throwing technical error.
Still can’t access family miles
All our miles go to the family account, but that can’t be accessed on the app. Would be great if that was added.
Outdated
The app feels outdated and lacks automation. I have to enter everything manually — from adding trips to checking in — even though my passport details are already saved. Nothing is streamlined, and the experience hasn’t improved or changed since the app was first made. It really needs an upgrade to match modern standards.

Your support part of the app work soooo bad and buggy
First of all why is it not build in to your app? It’s 2026 year and it’s so easy to add chat with support and give all user information to the team. Why you open browser in your app to use support? Second: I was in chat with support few minutes, explained a lot of things about my problem and then support chat just closed. And when I tried to open it again it start new chat with new assistant that I have to again explain everything. The experience of using this part of the app is so bad. Never seen any apps made this poor.
Wonderful airline; terrible app.
The app doesn't sync through icloud (or any other cloud service), meaning that if like me, you have several devices, you can end up with differing—or no—info on each device. The app also won’t save future trips if there’s no frequent flyer number on the reservation and/or your name doesn’t “match” their records. Match? Their system combines my first and middle names into one name, and no matter how I try, I can’t figure out what they consider to be my “correct” name. Useless and frustrating.
Seat selection done in outdated embedded mobile site
Does not look like up to date with 2025 web standards. Why it can’t be done properly with app and API? Surely such mega airline can do app dev properly

The app doesn’t save my upcoming trips, so each time I log into app I have to put my flight details in. This is timely and a bit frustrating

My family always fly with Emirates and it’s great but fly Dubai is the opposite and had very bad service we had to pay for everything in the aircraft
Frustrating app
One of the more frustrating apps I have used. Doesn’t save information and goes around in circles. Really poor!
Passport not stored
Every time when I check in, it always says passport info incomplete. It should save the information and needs to keep it up to the expiry date.

Uselessness at its best
This application is a combination of uselessness and impracticality. It freezes almost always and even leaving a feedback is not possible. Changing flight option is there but doesn’t work. Basically anything that needs to be done eventually you will have to call emirates number. With all the resources they keep failing short when it comes to IT.
update takes forever and just doesn’t end
I am in Mecca and need to use the app , after several attempts to update with hotel WiFi it just doesn’t update . Had to restart several times . Tried my Usa cellular data yet takes forever . Am travelling soon and need access to the emirates app . Such bad timing .
Unread notifications badge
The notifications badge is showing 4 unread notifications where there aren’t any. Would be good if the developer were to address this bug.
Good but not enough
Emirates App lacks features like to save my family members details for frequent travelers and also doesn’t have extra info on seats availability (how many left and which category) for example when I book for large family I need to know extra info on seats availability so decisions can be made quicker.

Food options
Starting this review based on food and bad customer service, first of all we chose the airline based on comfort and quality unfortunately we didn’t experience either couldn’t update to business of premium economy class 36 hrs prior to trip and we get to check in in lax they didn’t help and there manager told me she can’t help me bcz I booked through Amex business card so if you ever book through Amex don’t fly with emirates , the other thing food option poor if you are Indian or like Indian food it’s ok if not you left out with poor choice of food, it’s like flying Indian air but with emirates painted plane This will be my last fly with emarites it’s not worth it any more

Virtually impossible to get seat map the first time around and terribly slow. Also diminished functionality from previous versions .. impossible to see miles count for any flight! Emirates IT need to get their act together.
Hard to navigate
Hard to navigate and hard to use because often times you can’t move between the app in terms of picking seeds or neck seats. It just freezes and doesn’t work that well. It’s also hard to book using the app because sometimes it says connection error.

Book from either emirates website or third party websites or apps but not emirates app. The details are confusing while booking and customer service doesn’t care that their app doesn’t have clear information and due to which customers are paying extra money for the same itinerary and modifications.
