Im writing this while on a flight with free starlink super fast internet provided by qatar airways on an amazing app
Poorly executed
Buggy, slow, useless. Buggy: random keyboard pop ups that hide information with no easy way to close them, login failures left and right, flight data not loading, zero save states for the online check in process Slow: trip info takes forever to load (if it does), app feels sluggish Useless: I’ve never even been offered an Apple wallet boarding pass on this app, which is the main reason I download airline apps. The flight update notification system is broken too, once got a notification telling me my flight time had moved from 7:45 pm to 7:45 pm, very useful. Thanks Qatar.
Not working very well
Some of the options aren’t opening correctly so difficult to update personal details Whatever issues the app was having appeared to have cleared up so score updated.
You need to catch up with industry leaders
Really weird behavior of an airline app that never seen! Why you are asking for MFA? It is an airline not a bank app, so annoying asking for MFA while in the airport trying to find my next flight’s gate and my phone is not enabled for roaming and need to be in WiFi to get an MFA code? Also why you are showing an ad every time your app launches! When I’m late for my flight every second counts and I have to wait for your silly ad to finish! I just finished my first part of the trip laying over in Doha and still taking next flight but when I open the app it shows the my trip is complete and it is really hard to find my next flight from the app! You still use a paper boarding pass which may be required in some airports fine but I don’t see a way to add your boarding pass in Appel wallet or a live notification that even Uber shows these days to keep the passenger up with their flight. You really need to work on adding many features that even cheap airliners in the USA have added several years ago. Not an app related, but makes no sense to fly on business class and I don’t see any organized lanes at the gate to get people to the flight easily, I asked one of the attendants and she said “try to form a line here” she was completely careless! Hope this helps to improve
Disjointed
I’ve travelled on many different airlines to and from the UK, however this is the most difficult, disjointed and frustrating of apps to use.

I am on flight 732 from DFW to Doha Qatar. I am in the service industry. The cabin crew worked tirelessly to assist all customers with a smile and the chief flight attendant was very courteous and helpful. Great job keep up the good work hope to see you again. I am a privilege card member and I will keep using Qatar air more.

They said the flight will arrive at 3:42pm and it arrived at 2:58 pm and they never update it they made me got to the airport late

Frustrating and unusable
Ridiculously frustrating. Searching everywhere just to add boarding pass to wallet….. but once logged into privilege club it’s impossible to get out. I have no interest in bidding for football matches, I just want to be able to switch to upcoming flight details! I don’t want to download, I just want to see “add to wallet”. Why is this so hard?!!

Expensive
Frustrating!
We are returning customers following a long haul flight to Australia which rewarded us with 16000 Avios points, however we have been unable to use these booking further flights to Australia. The site is too busy and does not steer customers correctly to using the Avios rewards which is/was extremely frustrating. It feels as though I’ve invested in a product but not able to experience the benefits. Keep the site simple and functional, Tesco’s provides a better journey than Qatar at least I can spend their rewards with ease!

My flight with Qatar Airways was excellent. The crew were polite and professional, the food was tasty, and everything ran on time. The seat was comfortable, boarding was smooth, and the overall service was exceptional. I definitely recommend them.
Terrible app
I was trying to add travel partners and there are multiple drop down menus that are required and have no entries to select. You can’t submit because a selection is required.

App repeatedly freezes when redirecting me to British Airways screen. Can’t book my flight
Missing luggage
I always find Qatar airways good to travel but this time it was horrible.I travelled with one infant and one child and all my 4 luggages are missing.All my baby’s stuffs,foods and formula was in those luggage when I reached to the destination I got nothing. It was really hard to managed in new places.really got disappointed this time

Constantly crashes and the last update has made it even worse. Every few searches - forced log out with endless repetitive TFA requirements. As all things with QR - inflight service is great. Total fail on all things otherwise.

Our flight left too early (we were on business class) so now we had to rebook for MORE money the app is good but the airline is bad
Poor reflection on the onboard experience
This app made my preflight experience frustrating. Even before the Iran war, Qatar kept rescheduling my flight, each time resulting in my flight becoming unconfirmed. At some point it was no longer possible to accept the new schedule requiring me to involve a person. After check in, I am unable to download my boarding pass due to “a processing error”. The advice to “try again later” has been unsuccesful for the past 36 hours. The app is also very busy with advertising and unnecessary content. I just want to be able to manage my booking without having to swipe away spam about F1 racing or football. It seems to me the app is messy bloatware that fails to achieve its core purpose. Say what you want about British Airways, but their app and website are, while not perfect, much better than this.

My seat problem
I have paid extra for a better seat. But it wasn’t the seat I have chosen. Though the Crue , Kim helped me to get a better seat. still wasn’t my choice since the seat was already taken by someone else. That was the only reason I am not completely satisfied
Slow and unskippable ads
The app takes a long time to respond to taps and a long time to load. And every time you open the app there’s some promotion you can’t skip for 5 seconds. Really poor for a “premium” airline.

Issue with auto fill credit card
Trying to buy $2700 qpoints. Google pay available, why not Apple Pay?! Unimpressive. Moreover, card details does not auto fill (iOS). Long hand (ie autofill select each field separately) works intermittently if at all. Not what I expect from Qatar, nor this otherwise very good app (Gold member )

Login is challenging
This app is about travelling and the usage should be tested according to possible travel situations. First thing is that the app asks me loging every time I open it. That’s acceptable, but then it does SMS based 2FA on the number which is my home country. Thus I’m not able to login to the app when I’m travelling out of country because of 2FA. Developers, at least send the copy of otp on email as well. This is such a basic logical thing.

Very slow loading / logging in
This app is the slowest loading experience and login usually takes to much time. Does not remember user / password correctly. Same on the web application. It’s usually faster to book through booking platforms and call to get the booking added to get the Platinum benefits.

Need an sms every 10 mins to stay logged in and you can't chat with customer service. q points required changes too. Scam.
