1st time apply SQ online
First time doing my booking by SQ & felt very anxious as worry may click wrong information.
Worst customer service experience in 35 years of travel
SIA changed our flight 12 times before departure and then cancelled and downgraded cabin class without notice and without refunding. We communicated daily between 3 July 2026 and 19 August 2026 to resolve the matter. Our refund remains outstanding as does our extra accommodation costs and out of pocket expenses due to the airlines cancellation. Would never recommend this airline to anyone

Poor booking and redemption service
I tried to book my SIA flight from Colombo to Singapore (booking ref FX7B4O) on 5 Jul 2026 for travel on 30 Aug 2026 and was waitlisted. The Krisflyer miles redemption offered was 19,000 for waitlisting compared to 41,000 miles for immediate redemption. I understand the airline would want to hold back on the promotional redemption to sell more tickets. I was advised on email to wait until 14 days before flight to learn if my booking was successful. This morning my waitlisted booking was cancelled and I had to redeem the same flight for 57,600 miles (booking ref DLZ5ZZ). As I had monitored the flight seating arrangement regularly since early July, I could see as a fact that there remained many unsold Econ standard seats (35-40) throughout my waitlisted period. Sorry for Singapore Airlines that there was hardly any sales for these seats during this 6-7 weeks. But I am also aggrieved that Singapore Airlines charged me 57,600 miles instead of the original 41,000 miles had I redeemed in full earlier, not to mention the waiting and lingering worry that tickets might be sold out while I waited for the waitlist to be fulfilled. Singapore Airlines should not have baited its customers to waitlist on promotional redemption terms and then not fulfil the promise, especially when there are plenty of tickets unsold. It leaves a very bad taste and this is certainly NOT “A Great Way to Fly”.

Few weeks back tried to book flight using app but kept prompting error message that it can’t be loaded. Few weeks later tried again and its still the same. To confirm if app is working, I tried booking on website and there are available flights.

Minimum Function because you can't bother
I think it would be difficult for SQ to hold its brand image for long - if the food, the rocket high price or the "cant be bothered" service which is also reflected in your app would continue. For example you can't even get invoice or purchase / flight records in the app, wth? Or is it because im not PPS or Solitaire so i don't deserve to get an invoice or buying record? Ridiculous.

Check in flaws
My flight was booked thru United and I received a text instructing me to check in which gave me the United reference code unfortunately after many attempts I was finally able to locate the Singapore reference which was a bit hard to find. That probably is more a United airlines flaw. Also in the US we put a dash before the last 4 digits so that stumped me initially. Scanning my passport was great and I was on my way. Thank you
Does not provide real time updates
It’s disappointing that the app doesn’t provide real time updates of gate changes. Don’t rely on this app on travel days
Does not copy prior flight information
This check in asked to re-type the same information as for original flight. I did not change citizenship or emergency contact on my way back. Also, my address number includes “-“ character. Application did not accept “-“.

Great way to Support Flying
Find the app quite easy to use and navigate with different information. Good work team. One star less because at times app loading takes more time so performance wise not consistent but features are good. Keep it up team.

App won’t open
I have downloaded the most recent update of the app, I’ve tried deleting and redownloading, but still the app refuses to open. It will open for a split second and then crash
Multiple Issues
Krisflyer login doesn't work. Keeps bringing me to the same registration page. No option to send the receipts or itinerary to email other than what was used during booking. When I try to view all or view ticket/receipt, it doesn't work.

Payment failure AGAIN
Still, after over a year of seeing this same problem, nothing is done; when I try to pay for my flight, I am told “use only English characters “ and payment won’t proceed.. I have only English language set on this phone 🤦♂️🤷🏻♂️

Krisflyer Redemption Nominee
I wasted like 4hours trying to update my redemption nominees. Called Krisflyer support and spoke with 2 different staff - they couldn’t help. 1st staff told me nothing wrong with the update system, maybe I can log off and try again. 2nd staff told me I’m the 2nd person to complain about the redemption nominees function. After explaining to him the problem, he told me perhaps I can log off and trying again after 1hour. if this is how you go about solving problems… OMG!!! You’ve got a big problem.
Better than website
I tried four times to book flights via the website and every time it reached the point of seat selection for the fourth leg of my journey it crashed. I was one click away from booking Emirates instead but decided to give it one more try via the app despite the poor reviews. Thankfully it worked, very quick and straight forward and having wasted an hour on the website I had booked, selected my seats and paid within 10 minutes. So clearly a very hit and miss experience with Singapore Air but perseverance got me through. It really shouldn’t be this difficult, though.
Poor performance
Seems like the favourite screen on this app is “something went wrong”. I tried booking three times before giving up and booking on another airline!

The computer kept changing my passenger details so I had to keep correcting it. It took three times until it actually saved it correctly.
