I deleted my 3 star review because I was having issues with it not working. I have a dehumidifier in the garage that turns off when the door opens and turns back on when it closes. I had a TP-Link Kasa plug to control the dehumidifier. It turns out TP-Link stopped supporting IFTTT. The of course never announced that to users. So I blamed IfTTT. Well not their fault. Now using a Govee plug and all works as it should. I will reinstate my subscription as the problem was not due to IFTTT. It’s a great utility and I really like it.
Dangerous
I’ve had an alert sent up for my home Radon detector to alert me when the Radon levels reach a dangerous point so I can turn on the crawlspace fan to evacuate the air. For more than a year I was under the impression that the Radon levels in my crawlspace were at safe levels but come to find out they’ve been at toxic concentrations almost daily and IFTTT never once sent me a notification per the applet that was created to monitor my Ecosense radon device. Not a single notification!!! I only discovered this today because I decided to put a whole home dehumidifier in the crawlspace and noticed the radon detector was in the red. I looked at the Ecosense app and was blown away by what I saw. This is unacceptable and I’ve already reach out to a personal injury attorney about this and have a in person meeting on Monday (8/31/26). Radon is the number one cause of lung cancer in non-smokers and number two overall behind smoking. So I’d say my reaction is proportionate. IFTTT should not connect to devices that are literally monitoring life or death situations because the technology is clearly not robust enough for these kind of actions. Use this app and technology at your own risk.

Sort of works
Paid for an annual subscription in hopes that IFTTT would fill the gap in home automation…sadly, it doesn’t. I wanted basic HUE functionality and it just doesn’t work. Turns on the lights just fine, but never turns them off. If you can’t trust it for the basics, will I really trust it with something important. It’s a nice play toy! Not serious business!!

Deleted app as no longer works with Tapo Not sure who initiated the parting of ways, and, as it worked until 1/8/26 (August not January!) I’ve given it 3 stars

Poor customer service app didn’t work
Good concept but personally not worth paying for.
I’ve been using this app for years and when I first started, I was mightily impressed. Over the years, applets stopped working and the app wasn’t an important thing anymore. Now, the new thing is to pay monthly subscriptions for better apps, but I’m not one of those “jump on the bandwagon” people anymore. If I did, I’d be paying hundreds of dollars that I could be spending elsewhere because almost every app wants you to pay more money to them on a monthly or annual basis. I finally broke down and tried the middle package. It’s nice to be able to use multiple outputs but I’m still not sure I want to keep it. It’s still not worth it. It was a nice concept though. Thanks for fixing the app, though!

"THE" Supplemental Tool for Today's IoT . . .
IFTTT has become the root of my IoT. From "Day One" of IFTTTs' inception it has presented aspects to solidify or extend IoT operations. Whether to build native Applets or supplement Applications that fall short of prime logical features needed for complete "routine" operations. IFTTT has a good collection of tools from a myriad of vendors, independent creators and native services to facilitate or extend applet interactions or allow for interaction between vendors that don't integrate well with others or don't supply operations that complete or extend their own operations. In ever changing environments where the need to "keep ahead of the curve" is imperative or to integrate the massive array of IoT Devices in existence or that become available every day, IFTTT is a Genius Product that allows you to get the most out of your investment in and use of your IoT Products allowing for the creation of "Real World" applications you need.

Does not support GMail so it's kind of useless for any email automation for the majority of email users. Other than that it's a good app and the basic monthly price is manageable

I started using this years ago when it was fresh and exciting after a few years I got bored then they were charging a lot for everyday things I got bored and deleted
New IPhone Problems
Since I got a new IPhone 17 Pro, I don’t have the ability to use my HUE app on my iPhone. I had control on my old iPhone but I can’t do anything on my new iPhone. Any suggestions on how to resolve that problem? I don’t have the ability to see what lights are in the system and able to regulate any of my lights. Please help me out with this problem and help me figure out how to install the lights that I had on before I got the new IPhone.
Nicer if you reorder
You can easy grow the list to many recipe, but the app don't let you reorder them. Easy enough.
Two steps back
Way to stop support for certain devices. Now I just need to figure out how to cancel my account cause I don’t need this app anymore since they’ve decided to go in a different direction and stop support for certain apps.

Due dates dont carry over. Sets it as an event for the same day.
Good but could use better integration
I use it to coordinate my Apple reminders onto my Google work calendar. This app would be 5 stars if it could read the “date” part in Apple reminders. At the moment I have to type the date into the “notes” section in order for it to sync which adds the risk of human error. If Google tasks could store images then this app wouldn’t be needed. Womp womp.

I’ve been unsubscribing from IFTTT emails for over a year now. They kept coming. I checked my web account multiple times to make sure all those boxes were unchecked. Then I click delete my account on the website because I’m hoping the emails will stop. I was then sent an email confirmation to delete my account. Confirming on my phone meant I had to then download the app. That’s when I saw email preferences that only appear via app and not the website. They were marked as “important alerts for your account” but those aren’t how I would describe the emails I was sent. Now I can delete my account from the app though. I’m not verifying I wanted to delete my account btw. I have to reclick delete my account. Edit: I selected delete my account, used my Passwords app for the IFTTT login (that I just used for the website and the app) and it said incorrect password. No deleted account.

2022年11月からスマートプラグのmerossと連携させてIFTTTを使用しています。 外出もしくは帰宅した際に電源のオンオフができるよう設定しましたが、設定して一週間ほどはきちんと稼働していますが、約一週間を過ぎると、電源が切れていなかったり、その逆で電源がついていないようなことがあります。 不安定で、不具合が起きるたびにトリガーを更新してトラブル解決という繰り返しです。 近年電気代の値上がりで、少しでも不要な電気を削りたい場合にはオススメです。

Octopus
A little flaky with Octopus Agile, it works approx 80% of the time but often fails to trigger. Definitely better with a pro subscription, but still not perfect.

Not maintained in years
This app is completely forgotten. Nothing works well, or at all. Same UI for the last 200 years. And the applets dont even load on iOS for weeks, nobody seems to be aware of that for some reason! Avoid it at all costs! I'm looking for an alternative now.

Didn’t have any of the brands I needed, Yale, eve, onvis etc so basically pointless to me, I’m sure they used to have some of these brands before??

I think this is an iOS related issue but recipesnive had running for years now fail unless I open the app at the location
