Better user experience over time
I’ve used the app for a few months. What I like: * Bookmarked articles load quickly in the in-app browser * Highlights now appear almost instantly after I make them — a huge improvement from a recent update * Easy bookmark management through folders and subfolders * Unlimited collections — a lifesaver for a heavy reader like me * The AI assistant finds the needle in a haystack when I ask which bookmarked article a piece of data came from * Seamless syncing of collections, highlights and notes across devices * Daily backups that keep my collections, highlights and notes safe What I’d like to see: * Unlimited highlights per article, so I can make more than 100 in long pieces * An option to resume where I left off in an article, instead of scrolling from the top * More reliable highlighting: highlights sometimes fail to display, especially when the same term was highlighted earlier in the article * More reliable article loading: bookmarked articles occasionally fail to open in the in-app browser, even though I’ve set it as the default The app has improved a lot since I started using it. I’d be happy to update my rating and review once these issues are addressed.
Privacy issues - not resolved via email
Wouldn’t download this app. Plenty of other options that allow iCloud sync. This app doesn’t, and seemingly never will. Developer can view all of your data. Shame, loved the actual app.
Not optimized
The high latency for nearly every UI interaction of this app is really starting to test my patience. The most recent update added a set of animated UI transitions that make me wait almost 2 seconds between the time I tap the tag entry field and the time I'm actually able to type in tags. Autocompletion stutters and stalls between every key press.

Great concept, socials shares are broken
Unable able to use share sheet in Twitter or Instagram. They both silently. These are my two main use cases.
One Big Problem
It does what it says it does and syncs bookmarks via app. One big flaw though. There’s no option to turn off highlights. This is a bookmark manager, I don’t need or want to highlight anything. It gets in the way of the “copy | find selection | look up’ bar, I have to click twice to access copy or look up, so the highlights option is more of a nuisance. This is the only app that provides a two-way safari bookmark sync to other browsers, so it’s quite a shame there’s this one flaw that makes it an annoyance to use.

Stella AI is worth the cost of admission. Given permissions, it can organize hundreds of bookmarks with one prompt.

Why must you convolute the app with the WORST possible feature in this day and age? Have some respect for your creation.
Really Good
At last. I have been searching for so long for an app like this. Tried Milanote and other apps to organise and present to my clients a clean presentation of product and idea links without all of the clutter and adverts of Pinterest. It’s very easy to use. Synchronisation instant. No lag like Cosmos. Very reliable and snappy. But I’ve got a couple of simple ideas that would make it a killer app and get it those five stars.

Been searching for a Pocket replacement. Downloaded this and loaded a PDF. When it loads in the app it just renders the 1st page over and over.
Perfect Bookmark Manager Across All My Devices AAA+++
I absolutely love this app. The free features are more than enough for my needs, which is honestly rare nowadays. The interface is modern, clean, and very intuitive, making it a pleasure to use every day. One of my favorite things is how seamlessly it syncs across all my devices — iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Saving and organizing links has become incredibly simple and efficient. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and beautifully designed bookmark manager.
So much wasted time and energy
I put in a bunch of links and every single one is routed and stuck with cloudflare. I can’t find any access to customer service. Useless. Uninstalling.
Good but a few bugs
Seems to be a decent bookmark manager, but a couple of improvements would be necessary to pay for it. First, I didn’t initially find the option to open links in the main external browser. If you don’t do that it bypasses privacy and security options that I find essential e.g. I found an expired domain that had been taken over by scammers and the redirect wasn’t stopped by their browser when Safari itself did. Should be default and only opt in to their browser. Second, needs an AI kill switch to turn off all AI so you don’t accidentally hit a button and try and use those features. I don’t want AI near my bookmarks. Finally, hit a bug where I couldn’t delete accidentally added space or angle bracket characters that had been added to the end of imported URLs by using putting cursor at the end and using backspace. Also sidebar size changes don’t stick (to be fair, this might be a Liquid Glass bug, as not the only app this happens in). Disappointing no automatic backup to iCloud option for a iOS app or way to use WebDAV for backing up to e.g. Nextcloud, there’s big tech back up options only.
Finish the Job!
I think this is a very good app but with one flaw. And that single flaw means I won’t use it any longer… The flaw is the lack of a Mac app. I’m a copious MacBook user even though I have an iPad and an iPhone. On the latter two devices Raindrop is superb. But the extra bit of rigmarole I have to go through to then transfer things to my main machine is just silly. Finish the job, broaden out the ecosystem of the app, and create a Mac version of it. It’s a no brainer! 🤷♂️

The app idea is amazing and very helpful, the only default is with facebook links that doesn't appear correctly . I wish you can do something in this regard.
Literally shouldn’t use the internet without RainDrop!
I will write more later, but I just wanted to say real quick; I have been using Raindrop free for several years and literally don’t know how anyone can live without it. You no longer have to worry about syncing, remembering where you saved stuff, which browser bookmark, etc. because as long as you save it in raindrop, it’s available on all your devices. Small example but huge benefit; when you’re in an app and something opens up on the in-app browser; you can just save it directly to raindrop. You don’t have to either copy and paste or open the link in Safari or Chrome; just save it directly to raindrop and now it’s in your collection! Raindrop is an amazing, super useful app. Even the free version has tons of very useful features, and I am strongly considering upgrading to support the developers and unlock, some of the advanced features. Updates are rolled out frequently; the app is well supported & developed. Never had an update cause any issues. I think my favorite feature is its shocking support for sub folders and sub-sub-sub folders…. I’m honestly shocked Raindrop supports this, because SO many apps do not. Incredibly well done, RainDrop team!!!
Flashy but useless & No Support
Looks great. Terrible tool though. Basic features - bulk operations missing. No support or response for multiple tickets. Stick to Instapaper or Pinboard.In or just iCloud book mark sync. Expensive junk.
Best Bookmark App
Definitely the best bookmark app available. Works well across all Apple devices except for one thing: I have to log in to the browser extension after every reboot. Other than that, perfect.
Highlighting does not work
I use diigo’s highlighting feature and wanted to compare it to raindrop but while I like raindrops UI better, I can’t get the highlighting to work so I’m not ready to move yet.
Stopped working
I can’t even get to my collections anymore. Icons overlap each other and then freeze
Easiest bookmarking app around
Works perfectly on desktop and iOS. I had to ditch bubblup and Evernote because they got stupid expensive. This app has unlimited bookmark savings, well organized by folders and the free version is amazing
Lost all my stuff
Loved this app for about a year. One morning I opened it up and there was nothing. I had meticulously saved hundreds of links and now they were gone. Despite my many attempts to rectify the situation…nothing. I emailed support and, five days later, was told I probably used a different email. I only have two that I use and, nope, that doesn’t answer the problem. Some priceless stuff lost. Loved it for a year but now, not recommended.
Suggestion
It would be nice to store backups on iCloud.
Great app, but sync is poor
When opening it can take a few minutes to sync latest bookmarks. This should be a top priority to fix.
IOS app needs work
I migrated and deleted my decade old getpocket account after trying out raindrop.io on my laptop. It has everything I had wished for. On the iOS app though, I’m not able to edit links or search as the keyboard does not show up. And I can’t find a place to report the bug. I’ve found a workaround and that is to switch to a different app, type in the title I want, copy, the switch back and paste it in to the app
Essential!
What a wonderful and extremely useful tool to track an unlimited number of websites. The app is filled with many key features, including reminders, highlights and tags. I wish all the apps I used were as carefully and thoughtfully designed as Raindrop.
It's an ugly reading experience, without a reader mode
It seems like such a feature-packed app but I don't even see any way to enable a reader mode, so I'm stuck with a bunch of ad-covered websites when I'm reading. I don't get how they could omit this. I can't use this as my article repository after all. Disappointed.
Great functionality but not perfect
I’ve been using this for a while now, and while it can sometimes be a little unstable, it’s generally pretty good and I now use this in preference to the local bookmarks in web browsers and Twitter
Issues with paid features dev unresponsive
Real shame as the app is pretty good. I paid for pro to use the AI features. Circa 2K links sorted into categories and tagged. No AI suggestions ever; “not enough data”. Sought help from dev multiple times, no reply.
Cumbersome to use
I originally got raindrop as an alternative to pocket but the extension especially has become a real pain to use, it used to be so streamlined which isn’t the case anymore. If you were saving several links with the same category it used to learn and then auto populate this for the next one which doesn’t happen anymore, selecting a category doesn’t filter the tags so you get ALL tags for ALL categories instead of just the tags for the selected category which is incredibly time consuming. Sometimes selecting the extension on iPhone, in the share menu makes safari freeze and you have to completely close safari for it to do anything again, it’s been a problem for a long while and dev hasn’t responded to any bug reports unfortunately. In the app itself, thumbnails never load so I have no idea what I’m even looking for half the time I can see there’s occasionally App Store updates but nothing seems to get fixed? I don’t understand what the dev is doing honestly. I’m very frustrated by the app at this point and have moved back to pocket until the numerous and mounting issues and design flaws are addressed, sadly I don’t think this will happen. Huge shame
Love this bookmark manager
When Pocket went away, I was in search of the best options for a place to save links or articles that I didn’t have time to read right away. This has ended up being so much more than I anticipated. I end up using Raindrop all the time now in place of any other bookmark managers. I’ve even used it for research to collaborate with others as we share articles. I love the ability to have different folders as well as multiple tags. I also love the ability to see the bookmarks very quickly in a picture format as opposed to just having a list in Safari or Firefox. Thank you for helping me become even more organized.

Bookmarking on Quora not working
I've been using the app for over year and it's one of the best bookmarking apps ever. With the most recent update however, bookmarking answers from quora have gotten more frustrating. Before, I used to be able to preview the specific answers from quora in the raindrop app. Now it just shows up preview failed. Also, when I click on the link to take me to the quora app, it just takes me to the general question instead of the answer made by a specific person. This can be frustrating when one of the questions has more than 100 answers to it and I have to scroll through and find the specific person that answered the question who I would have initially bookmarked. Other than that, it's still a great app.
Sharing via email a/o link not reliable.
Usability of app is strong, clean user interface. Enough bells and whistles to allow for user creation of keywords, subfolders. After a couple hours, I was happy to pay annual subscription price to be a Pro user. Biggest problem so far is that 2 of 3 people I'm sharing a specific travel folder with have never received the email I have sent to them through the app. We've done all typical checks re spam folders etc., and the emails just never get delivered. I have provided them the link as an alternative but that doesn't actually take them to the specific folder. It's highly unfortunate and restrictive problem that lowers efficacy of using this to manage a group folder. No conceivable or identifiable way of contacting developed either **except** by writing a review.
Doesn’t remember category when bulk saving
When I’m bulk saving tabs from a project, every page starts as “Untagged” where before I would remember the last thing I had.
An Unsolicited Review
I have never had to search for a link or prompt in order to review until now. This is such a well written and thought out app I felt compelled to do so. - Shockingly reasonable PRO Subscription pricing - but THE FREE plan is more than enough for most any user. It’s simple. - Synchronizes across many platforms (even the free version!). - Multiple options for organizing your bookmarks and highlights. - Has not crashed a single time since I’ve been using it, heavily, for a year or more. !! And NO NAGGING ME FOR A REVIEW !! Which is in the list of reasons I’m reviewing it. I recommend Raindrop.io to anyone who wants to have their bookmarks handy regardless of what device they may be using at any given time. Thank you for such an amazing piece of software.
Doesn’t work well on iOS
This apps works well on the web, but on mobile, it’s not good. Links don’t save so it’s useless. Hope the developer fixes these bugs.
Great but one issue
A lot of the time I find after adding a link or whatever to a collection, it loads for an unreasonable length of time. Please fix this 🙏
Cannot save links
Every time I try to save a page from safari via the share sheet, I get an error saying you do not have access. The “add to unsorted” option works.

Really annoying that every time I think I'm just bookmarking a site, I have to first login to the goddamn app and then go back to pages to finish the work. This app can't stay logged in.
Newest Update is a Step Backwards
Hola! I have been a pleased operator of Raindrop.io for close to a year; however, the latest update makes saving a screenshot about 10x more difficult. Before this update, once you took a screenshot and shared/saved to Raindrop.io, the Raindrop.io interface screen would allow you to edit the name of the screenshot and allow you to add tags to the screenshot. Now, however, there is no interface screen when you send the screenshot from your camera-roll (album) to the Raindrop.io app—this means that you now have to switch between apps and find the screenshot you just sent and put in all the correct information for you to categorize it to your preference…hopefully this makes sense and hope to see this issue resolved soon

This was a great app. But now it won’t accept my login information. Works fine on the website though.
