What people like
- One time payment for life
- Fast and easy to use
- Imports notes from Evernote easily
- Clean design without forced AI
What they complain about
- Syncing between devices is unreliable
- Support never actually helps
- iPad app lacks full features
- File upload size is limited
The most amazing app for notes 😊
I’ve tried a lot of note‑taking apps. I switched from Bear to upNote. upNote has features that are important and convenient for me that aren’t available in Bear. But I really wish upNote would include the ability to draw Mermin diagrams. Thank you for such a wonderful app! I hope more useful features will be added!
Total Incompetence: 404 on Password Reset While Logged In on Mobile? Absolute Clown Software.
If you are thinking about trusting UpNote with your data or workflow, don’t. This app is an absolute joke. I am literally logged into my account on my iPhone right now using my Gmail. Yet, the moment I try to reset my password to log in on my PC, this broken piece of garbage throws a "request failed with code 404" right in my face. Are your developers running this backend out of a dumpster? How on earth does an active, logged-in account return a 404 Not Found error on a basic password reset request? Because of this brain-dead bug, I am completely locked out of my desktop app and cannot get any work done. A note-taking app that fails at basic authentication is worse than useless—it is a hazard. Fix your pathetic authentication servers or stop charging people for a service you clearly don't know how to maintain. Unbelievable trash.
Overall great
Love it so far. Clean, simple, organized. I just wish there was a way to add a voice note or other attachments, that would replace some other things for me.
Great app, but syncing needs improvement
The app is simple, clean, and easy to use. However, the lack of reliable syncing between the desktop and mobile versions is a major drawback. Notes made on one device don’t consistently appear on the other. Please improve the cross-device sync, it would make this app much more useful.
Would be perfect if not for the upload limit
Unable to upload pdfs or any files >20 mb which makes it very limiting. I wish there was an additional paid tier that would remove upload limits. Then it would be perfect.
Ideal Evernote replacement
I couldn’t be happier with UpNote. It’s reliable, elegant, and exactly the right balance of simplicity and flexibility. Crucially, it has zero forced “AI integration” which is what finally drove me away from Evernote after many years. UpNote is the ideal replacement as well as an exceptional value for the one-time cost.
Great app, no tech support.
I purchased subscription, but can not sync as my Mac is an older version. And contacting the tech support asking for 9.2.4 version to download, I get no answers. Bad support
Poor syncing (fixed)
I'm trying this out to see if it's any better than OneNote at syncing between devices. Unfortunately, it's not. I'm out on the road and it won't sync with the notes I took on my home computer, so they are lost to me until I get home. Update: they got back to me and it seems to be working fine now. Thank you
Sync
God your sync sucks
Upnote replaced my long years of Evernote
Strongly recommend to everyone. I’m wishing Upnote have portable version for windows. It is not yet support but still loving it and using every day.

Muy buenas
Para tomar nota y enlazar notas
Please fix the Mac app!
Fix the Mac desktop app! You can’t open your notes on it at all! Trust me, I’ve tried. As recently as last night, this has been a problem. Also, how about a genuine web clipper for iOS? That would be really helpful if I could save web pages into the app on iPhone and iPad. Now my entire folder structure is gone with no way of getting it back!!! So angry!! Not relying on this anymore!!!
Better Notes
When bending spoons took over Evernote, everything got worse and worse. Junior developers adding more and more bloat. Dumb. I believed to be stuck with them, until someone on X recommended UpNote. It is the CURE to bad not apps. Perfect. This is the notes app you were looking for.
Bugs
I can’t use this app anymore because I consistently have an issue on desktop where it automatically capitalizes every “i,” even when this setting is turned off on my computer and happens in zero other applications I use. It’s so annoying.
Nice!
I needed to write notes on a specific topic niche and it needed multiple folders and subsections. Upnote works well for me and the Ui is pretty easy to understand as well.
iPad app missing features macOS includes, not optimized for iPad, no end-to-end encryption
The iPad app is missing features the macOS app has,and the iPad version of the app isn’t optimized for iPad. Very, very frustrating to say the least. I have noticed that the developers don’t innovate or add new features. I don’t understand why the developers don’t make the iPad app identical in features set to the macOS app, and I don’t understand why they don’t keep adding features to this app. It seems like they just made it and they’re keeping it as-is. To me this is a waste of a great opportunity. Also, the app isn’t fully optimized for iPad or the Magic Keyboard trackpad gestures, and it should be. And UpNote does not offer end-to-end encryption of notes like Apple Notes offers. So many reasons not to pay for the full version. I want to buy the full version, but I’m not seeing any effort on the part of the developers to improve or innovate. And it seems UpNote support isn’t responsive.
The Evernote Alternative I Wish I Found Sooner
I used Evernote for about 10 years, but the price got to the point where I had to look for something else. I tried a bunch of alternatives, but most of them were missing simple features I use all the time, like code blocks. Then I found UpNote, and it has been exactly what I was looking for. It does everything I need, is easy to organize, works great, and made importing all of my Evernote notes simple. The switch was smooth, and I honestly have not looked back. For anyone leaving Evernote because of the price, UpNote is easily the best alternative I’ve found.
Sửa lỗi
Mọi thứ đều rất ổn chỉ có lỗi việc cần làm đã hoàn thành hiện đang bị lỗi mong nsx fix sớm ạ. Ngoài ra mọi thứ rất ok ko thể chê được ạ 😆
Simple but powerful
I was looking for an Evernote replacement since Evernote has become so bloated, slow, and expensive. I tried a few but when I tried UpNote, I know this was the one. All my Evernotes imported without a hitch. I love the simplicity and yet powerful design. The app opens super fast and syncs instantly to my other devices. I love that a note can be in multiple notebooks, a feature that Evernote does not have. The only Evernote feature that I miss is the ability to forward an email directly to the app, but there are workarounds. And I REALLY love the one price ($39.99) for lifetime premium on all platforms.

Great app
I use upnote a lot for shopping lists and keeping track of things. I love its reliability and excellent syncs. The backups make it much safer than onenote where it was easy to lose a note. One day I hope it will be able to sort list items within a note.
Best note app ever!!!
This is the best note app out there non contested!!!
The Best
Best notes by far. No complaints whatsoever. Easily worth the money and the download. I’d just like more colour options with highlighting and text colour. A text reader option. Then it would be perfect. Surprisingly secure and as long as it stays secure I’ll keep using. Still wouldn’t pay a monthly subscription for it.
Excellent notes app. Fast and flexible
Impressive fast and feature rich. What took me so long to move to this solution? Very easy and fast migration from Evernote. Was at home with it in just a few hours. Very consistent across platforms… Windows, iPad and Android. I have to try the Linux version next! Has all I need to keep my life organized and quickly find what I am looking for.
