App is good but freezes up on me; Really eats credits…
Update: They updated AI and now it won’t even do what it did before. Such a waste of money.—————-So I changed from another app that quadrupled in price and I do like the app BUT you can’t see how many credits each run costs you and the rate of credit “cost” doesn’t seem consistent. I ask complex questions like translate a study guide and its 20 credits, then ask one question one something the AI missed (to add it) and its 8 credits. So in 3 days I’ve run up over 300 credits… unless you check your credit before you run the question and then after you have no idea how much credits it’s costing you. I do like it but I’m not sure I can justify how much its costing me when I can get unlimited elsewhere for MUCH less than I’m paying now. And you have to reselect what documents to search every time you ask a question. I got a black friday deal for the monthly subsc but it only gives you enough credits for maybe 5-6 asks. On the site it say’s it costs on average 2 credits per ask on FAST and that is NOT true. I’m using Fast because Core is not good at all. I tried Max and found it no better than core and that ate like 30 credits in one go.
The Next Step
Craft is a fantastic tool. I’m an avid user of Notion and other popular organization and productivity apps, and I genuinely think Craft has everything it needs to become the next big thing. I especially love the tagging system — it’s one of the best I’ve used. There is one small feature I’d love to see, though, and while it may sound minor, it would make a big difference to my personal workflow: the ability to freely place blocks next to each other on a page without having to put them inside a separate card, page, or special container. For example, if I have three embedded videos, I’d love to simply drag them side by side and create a horizontal layout. Notion makes this very easy — you can just grab a block and pull it next to another one. In Craft, achieving something similar currently requires adding another layer of structure. It’s a tiny detail compared with everything Craft already does so well, but for the way I work, it’s probably the one thing Notion still has over Craft for me personally.
🤬 Are the Devs even fixing stuff?!
I’m having a crazy new issue where I can’t type into anything now. I click and nothing happens. I tap and nothing happens. The only place I can actually type is on the desktop app and the web app but the mobile phone on iPhone I can’t do anything. I am so thankful this got fixed below the dev’s are there!! they’re listening!! Now I can’t “tap and drag!” Below is my last review on a different issue. 👇 Have the devs stopped working on this app? Background images for cards don’t work anymore. The only way I can get them to show is by duplicating a card that already has a background image and then switching the image out which means I have to go into the card, copy and paste everything from one card to the other, so that it won’t be a complete duplicate. It’s a pain in the ***. I use Craft all the time daily and I’ve made it my way to keep track of my day, organize finances, but how could they not notice this major feature flaw?

I LOVE THIS APP! This may be the most underrated app ever. Not withstanding the high ratings, I’ve been an avid experimenter of productivity apps for years and until deep-diving recently I had never heard of it. You guys have done an excellent job. Please never mess it up. Amazing!
Highlighting
I see no simple way of highlighting with the Apple Pencil. Why an expensive app cannot do such a simple thing is beyond me very poor design.
Could use some improvements
1. Remember my last opened doc. I end up in main screen with list of files every time I come back to the app. 2. Ability to archive docs I am done with would be great. I am doing it manually by moving the doc to an archive folder

AI Credits
From the start of this year the AI Support is 50/50. AI not reading, summarising and answering attached document questions. Drop Down Document Search does not mirror all documents. Inconsistencies emerging in AI summarising and answering attached document questions. Withdrawing time invested working with APP.
My only complaint…
How do I undo something I accidentally deleted?! Or am I missing something? But seriously, this app is amazing. I’ve been using it for work/ life for about a year now. I Loveeee. You can access it from anywhere: phone, iPad, or desktop. I’m able to save & Send my notes no Matter what device I’m using. They sync up Perfectly, which has narrowed down the amount of lists I make. I can set up reminders and tasks with deadline. I could keep Going, but Its helped me stay even more organized. 10/10 would rec to a friend 😉
Task screen totally broken on iOS for a while now
I’ve been reporting a broken task screen on the mobile app for a while, with no response from the developers. I can’t add, or view, tasks on iOS despite it previously working. I feel like the developers are getting heavily into rapidly shipping with agentic AI without doing basic testing. It’s very poor.
Beautiful nice features, but missing organization
Coming from Notion there’s some to be desired. It is so close though. their collections feature is almost as good as notions database. But because of the Waze deals with the collection, it’s just not there. you don’t really get the ability to make yourself a nice little digital home the way you do in an app like Notion. However, it does make up for it in other ways. I have made the commitment to continue using Craft instead of Notion for the next, however, long. I don’t know if I will go back to Notion. I am a writer and a researcher.And craft certainly hits the writing part of my needs.And with obsidian in the mix I think I canFinally, leave Notion behind.Yeah, I wanna awesome but I do feel there’s room for improvement. something to hold it all together.They recently implemented tags and that’s a big step in the right direction but it’s still not there. but I’m gonna continue to use itBecause I find it, intuitive and enjoyable, quick to grabAnd get the info out my brain.
Not for me
For my writing and organization style, this app is complicated in all the wrong places, and is smug about that. There is no data portability to speak of, as far as I can tell, and it signs me out and repeatedly asks for information I have already provided, which is a telltale hallmark of privacy abusing services having to alter agreements and terms due to legal issues. I would not trust this system with my private plans or innermost thoughts, personally.
Weird glitches
Pretty good app. It’s still a bit cumbersome to find the menus to adjust the text and pages. But I still prefer Craft over searching for a ton of files in folders. The latest issue I’m having is with odd glitches. For instance, after editing a page (or just opening it) I notice some of the text has weirdly shifted to the left of the page. Even weirder, I can’t select the displaced line but it appears in the correct space but is only visible when I move my mouse over it (I can’t edit it though). Another way to try and explain it, is the line becomes a ghost of itself. Usually I’ll close Craft and reopen and everything is back in place but as soon as I edit a page, the glitch returns. This is the only time this has happened since I’ve subscribed to Craft and the glitches only appeared before the latest iOS and MacOS updates.
The best App Ever in Life!!!
This app is very convenient, easy to use, and crafty. I like that I have so much flexibility when adding colors, themes, checkboxes, etc. I can even make charts, set reminders, add cool themes, and more. Craft is my go to app for all sorts of things (organizing thoughts/ideas, creating projects, to-do-lists, etc.) Thanks you Creator of this app 🤩

Phenomenal Design
I’ve been using craft weekly for 4+ years and today got a popup offering migrations services from several other notetaking apps. Thank god. Not only are they still blasting me every time I open the app with ads for indispensable AI features I’ve still not figured out a use for. Now they think I’m a new user, almost half a decade in! Incredible!
Bafflingly Buggy
I was an early adopter of Craft. I loved their native, offline focus (a refreshing alternative to Notion) and Markdown support (a refreshing alternative to Apple Notes). Alas, A couple years ago they abrubtly shifted focus to business/team as opposed to PKM or note-taking, so I reluctantly left. I was thrilled to realize recently they’d returned to their roots, and promptly shelled out for the pro account. I am … shocked by how awful it is on Mac. The iPad experiece is still great, but Mac has been downright unusable through MULTIPLE updates (so don’t tell me to update to the latest). It crashes at least once a day, despite my Mac being kept diliegently up to date with an M3 chip, and with me ALWAYS updating to the latest Craft version the day they’re released. At least 50% of the time I paste in content from anotehr app, I get an error, so I have to “double paste” everything. It’s also quite slow and glitchy. Often when converting to a “card,” I have to do it multiple times. I’m really puzzled. Their focus has always been to be built natively, and these are some BIG bugs. I’m sure I’ll get the copy/paste form “Developer response” saying to contact customer service. Which I have done, but it’s honestly getting old. If I contacted customer service for every glitch I encounterd, that would be half my day. Suggestion: Stop adding new features, and … fix your stuff. (Again, this is for the Mac version. IPad has been fine. iPHone app crashes occasionally, but not terrible.
Internal Help AI Limits Use
It would have been good to know I had a limited number of “credits” to use the AI when I was using it to learn how to use the app. How do I know if I want to buy the app if I don’t know how to use it? I watched numerous tutorial videos but still didn’t know if it would work for my purposes. Now I find that even with a paid subscription I would have limited use of the formatting AI.

Not possible to use Apple Intelligence to create
a craft document using one of the templates in my space. Stuck in the past without native AI allowing us to use the app.
Copy and past issues
I am copying text from the webpage onto the document in the Mac app. When I pasted the text into the document using the craft app, it skips some of the words and its formatting. Also, the coding themes look off. For example certain letters would be one color the others would be a different color in the same word. Whenever I copy and paste a table from a webpage onto a document, it misses some text. Can you fix these issues?
Incredible writing / notes app with terrible customer support
I have been using this app for all my writing this year and absolutely loving it, from the design to the performance of it. But, after the iOS and MacOS 26 updates, the app stopped working on two devices and tech support was basically non-existent. This has caused me to reconsider my heavy reliance on the app. Update: The app has recently been losing my embedded media. When I asked the developers about it they said that media has to be added in a very specific way, which doesn’t make any sense. I hope they can address these app reliability issues!
Inconsistent.
A very nice beautiful app. If you’re all for quick customization and nice themes, go for it. But the organization can get absolutely horrid with this app. For the past few years, it feels like they have been really lost. They should’ve kept focusing on the note-taking aspect. Instead they added AI, barely functional tasks, and redid UI 3-4 times. Shifting around stuff everywhere. The document experience is fantastic though.
Obsessed
I’m obsessed with this app, especially after trying 4 other word processor apps before this one and concluding notes was gonna have to be it. This is such a fun, attractive, and organized app. Slight learning curve but easy to use once you get it. Note there is some free functions but I did subscribe to the $9 per month. I can’t speak to free use because I’m pretty sure I subscribed the first day so there was probably a good reason.
Feedback for Craft Team: Persistent "Zombie" Entry in Spotlight Settings
Subject: Technical Issue: Persistent "com.lukilabs.lukiapp" entry in macOS System Settings after uninstallation I am writing to report a persistent technical issue regarding the uninstallation footprint of Craft on macOS (Mac Store version). [Issue Description] After uninstalling Craft, a "zombie" entry for com.lukilabs.lukiapp remains visible in System Settings > Siri & Spotlight > Search Results (App Results). Even after the app is physically deleted, the entry persists in the UI (sometimes with a generic icon). [Technical Investigation & Attempts] As a technical user, I have attempted the following high-level troubleshooting steps to no avail: LaunchServices Reset: Ran lsregister -u on the specific path and attempted to kill the database. lsregister -dump previously showed the app indexed in .Trash, but even after clearing the Trash and unregistering, the UI remains. Preference Cleaning: Manually cleaned com.apple.Spotlight.plist by removing com.lukilabs.lukiapp from EnabledPreferenceRules and clearing queryViewOptions. Spotlight Reindexing: Executed mdutil -E / and deleted ~/Library/Metadata/CoreSpotlight. Cache Clearing: Purged com.apple.SystemSettings and cfprefsd caches. [Observation] It appears that because Craft is a Mac Catalyst app, it may be leaving behind stale metadata in the CoreSpotlight private store or the macOS SyncedPreferences (iCloud KVS) that isn't being properly flushed upon deletion. This results in a "ghost" toggle in the system settings that cannot be removed by standard user-level maintenance. [Request] Could you please investigate if the app can explicitly call index.deleteAllSearchableItems or a similar cleanup routine during its lifecycle, or provide a standalone "Deep Clean" script/command for users who encounter this "zombie" entry? Thank you for your attention to this detail. Craft is a great app, and I'd love to see a cleaner "exit" for the Mac version.
Battery issue…
Hey Craft dev team! I love the Mac app; however, I’ve noticed an issue where my M4 Mac’s battery drains significantly faster whenever Craft is open more so than when running apps like Slack or Xcode.
Great app but security not good enough
There is no better note taking UI experience ! CraftDocs really nails this better than all of the competition but as a lone non business user with no interest in sharing my content I really don’t like the security model.. Give me e2e database encryption and it would be 5* all the way! (to use and write freely I don’t want to have to self censor due to concerns over security model in the current state of the world where it is possible for notes to be accessed data services team if for instance coerced into doing so one way or another. Such a shame😕
AI Assistant
I am seeing two AI Assistant: one is for craft assistance and the other is general. I have no idea how to get to one or the other. It is very confusing when I want the general assistant who knows my writing voice but It just disappears. For this reason I cancelled my subscription.
Top-Notch App
Simply...Craft is amazing. I just started using this app and was a little nervous because I am not tech-savvy. I was so pleasantly surprised to discover it is extremely user friendly. I was able to figure most things out on my own. However, when I needed help I simply e-mailed the Craft team and always recieved immediate replies filled with simple and easy to understand information on what I needed and more. They truly go above and beyond to assist their customers. I can do everything I need to do for vet tech school in one outstanding app; from mapping, to flow charts, to tables, to summarizing my notes, and so much more! Poor Support
I am missing AI credits and support do not get back in a helpful or timely manner. Very poor customer service. The problem still not sorted after nearly a month and several requests.
Calender Monthly View
I love love love this app BUT I really really really need the monthly view for the calendar😭😭😭 the vertical daily view is very difficult😭
Don’t use !
I thought I finally found a good notes app but I was wrong. Some things just don't make sense. They have multiple scroll views for code snippets, long sentences don't wrap to the next line and when you copy / paste content sometimes it will have quotes when there was none. It looks pretty but not very well polished! stay away.
A lot of good stuff, some baggage
Craft looks great--much better than other notes apps I've tried. I love all the options for formatting (color, font, etc). I use a ton of visual formatting in my notes to make them eye-catching, and this remains a struggle for most, if not all notes apps. That said, the application of those formatting options is often clunky, unpredictable, or frustrating, much of which is derived from the whole "blocks" business, which feels like a weird and unnecessary thing when the app could simply treat text as any word processor does and let you edit elements discreetly instead of changes automatically being applied across whole areas of information just because they aren't separated by a paragraph break. Why is getting consistent paragraph breaks difficult, sometimes it double spaces, sometimes single and I can't edit that easily because efforts to delete the extra space instead only seem to delete the text formatting of the information after the cursor? The accumulation of these weird little behaviors adds up to a sense of overall frustration when it is not intuitively clear how to achieve the results I'm after. Most frustrating thing though, by far, is that unless I'm missing it, there is no undo button on the actual editing screen, so every time I make any mistake or the app doesn't behave as expected, I have to hit done, then another button to access the nested "undo" option and then two more buttons just to get back to where I was editing the note. Now imagine doing that 30 times in an hour. Just put undo/redo on the primary note editing screen and save us so much needless back-and-forth and this would be worth a full extra star immediately.

Great, but still some issues
I have been a user since the beginning. They have added numerous useful features, but there is a significant software bug that prevents duplicating files on both Mac and iPad, and has disabled several other “right click” menu options. I am surprised as the code of these developers has been outstanding. The major missing feature that prevents this from being my full-on workspace is the lack scanning/OCR features. Hopefully, this comes soon.
When it works it works, mostly it doesn't
Love the app for its simplicity and ease of use. I have to take notes daily and this was great a couple of updates ago, I make the window small and keeep it open in a side tab all the time, but it laaaaaggggggssss like crazy, almost unusable
Major flaw - documents can go missing
This app has no local. It doesn’t do incremental backups via iCloud either. If you use the app simultaneously on iPhone, iPad or desktop you run the risk of documents going missing randomly (orphaned during sync). This is a well known problem discussed on reddit. There is no way to recover missing documents. Do not use this app for critical documents. I’m switching over to notion. This is a pain as I absolutely love this app. They can fix the sync issue by allowing versioned local backups, or fixing the issue related to syncing whilst two instances of the app are open. Edit: craft support eventually responded & managed to recover the missing document, but it was not a straightforward process.

I Hate You Now
I praised your app, saying it was better than Noting Note, but after less than a month of use, it's showing "Block Limit Reached." It's incredibly low quality. Other apps don't limit things like yours. Therefore, I'm switching to Noting Note instead of this limiting, money-hungry, low-quality, brainless app.
Hope they add more types of filters to collections
I really enjoy using Craft for notes and organizing my projects. It’s intuitive, visually clean, and the AI features are super helpful. My only wish is that they add more types of filters for collections—it would make finding and sorting content much faster. Overall, it’s a great app that keeps improving! Still a good app, but complex with bugs
I have used Craft since its initial release, and while it has improved greatly, they have made the interface more complex and some unaddressed bugs have harmed my workflow. On the Mac, you cannot duplicate or delete notes by using the right-click menu…. You can click all you want but nothing happens. Apparently this is a known bug…. But it has persisted for many weeks. Second, what really makes the app difficult to recommend as a combination Notes and storage application, is the lack of advanced search capability and the lack of OCR-based search. Third, the interface has become ever more complex could use some cleanup. I hope these issues can be addressed soon, because the rest of the app is beautiful.
Amazing app
Tried so many organizer apps and this is the only one I naturally open and use. It’s super intuitive too.
Email needed to use app
I can’t stand apps that say they are offline and privacy focused that you download and then immediately ask for my email, without which I can’t even open the app.
Good but no undo button
I love this app. It’s very easy and intuitive to use. It’s better than Notion but my only problem is that you do not have a button to undo and that is very horrible in my opinion.
Impossible to adjust font size without changing behaviour
The default font size is small, and shockingly there is no way to increase it without changing the formatting to bold.

I don't want to have to rely on a third party cloud service, especially one that doesn't even offer end to end encryption. I would much rather have the option to store my notes on my device, like obsidian does.
