D dictation terrible. It’s their way or the highway. I can’t even figure out what to do with it. That helps me besides make a long list of what I need to do and it won’t even do that.

I’ve been using Notebook for a few years and love it but notice the ability to create my own notes has recently disappeared. I really miss this feature. I have hundreds of recipes and knitting patterns saved and like being able to add bits tonthem as necessary. Disappointed.

The app is great until you change a device. Then it’s a nightmare virtually imply. So is the support. Probably developed to suit very very high techs
New Update Not Working
The latest update, which introduces the capability to import and export files in Markdown and HTML formats, appears to be malfunctioning. Specifically, imported Markdown files do not open after the import process, and HTML files cannot be edited once imported. Consequently, this update does not significantly improve functionality in this version.

I’ve been using this app for a few years now and I love everything about it. I have a ton of folders with different types of notes in each one from to-do lists to journals, to Christmas gift lists, grocery lists, and I even track the books I’ve read too. It works for any type of note you need!
Search in PDF and images doesn’t work
Title says it all. Paid for the pro level and they lied about it being able to do OCR and search images and PDFs. Tried in the web interface and on IOS. Support links on their website don’t work. Google search that linked to help dot zoho dot com doesn’t work.

I can’t use any color code or even save my color and have to choose it manually every time

Since the new update I lost absolutely everything .
Password
This is a good app overall. It’s clean, useful, and easy to use. The only problem is, with locked notes, you can easily just reset the password by sending and email to the account you’re using. With this, another person could easily look at your locked notes. Could you please add an option that disables this? I just want a locked note that can only open with the password i made. Thank you.

What a shady company
Update: 4.15.26 - the company agreed to delete my account following written notice triggering EU privacy policies. If you aren’t in the EU, don’t use this app. They use your notes however they see fit and won’t delete your account and data absent a fight (ie, I genuinely believe I emailed the company 10 times over a 3 week period before they agreed to delete my account). Stay away from I paid for the Pro Notebook with AI features (ie., around $7 or $8/month) and immediately began experiencing problems as I continually had to restore my subscriptions on iOS otherwise I was treated as a free user. Further, I couldn’t even restore my subscriptions on the web or on macOS which were huge disappointments because it’s far easier to use this tool on either of those platforms. Well, I contacted the developer and it took about 3 days to respond with a nonsense answer; I responded the same day and then waited 4 days for a response that effectively said “we can’t help you.” I responded to this and said “close my account” to which the developer said I needed to contact Apple which I did and Apple helped me close it on my end but then told me that I also needed to have Zoho close it on their end…well, I went to their website which said, for all intents and purposes, “after ending your subscription with Apple, click here to close it on our end” so I clicked the link and immediately received an error message along with a note to contact customer support. I tried a few times that day from other browsers and again over the next 2 days or so but no luck so I contacted support via email and provided screenshots showing that all requisite closure steps had been taken but that I still was being blocked from closing my account. The first person responded with something to the effect of “let me look into this…”….days passed and I received another message echoing the same sentiment and then this week - a month after subscribing and 28 days after fist contacting Zoho - I receive another message indicating that they are still exploring options for me. Absolutely pathetic company that shouldn’t have any products on the App Store!

I keep typing stuff out and I even click the check mark and my notes still keep disappearing This new update is trash, I’m going to have to move to a new app I don’t understand why the changes they made were put in. It works worse now and has extra unnecessary steps.

Don’t sign up as a business. It will tell you that you don’t have access to do anything including contact them. You can’t close the account either, you’re not authorized to. Very stupid. Close this account!!! I AM The administrator, it’s my business, how stupid!
Amazing but add more font sizes please!
I’ve loved this app for over a year, but at least on mobile the font sizes have big jumps in sizes with no in between. I can choose font sizes 13 or 16 for regular notes, but 13 is too small and 16 is too big, so please add 14 and 15 size fonts/let us pick a number. Please also consider adding an option for line spacing, it would further help organize text. All in all though it’s a great app.
Syncing no longer works
I paid for upgraded service on Notebook and syncing among my (Apple) devices used to be fast and seamless but no longer works-still awaiting responses from Zoho support following 2 inquires submitted so far-disappointed long-time user here.
Great app, but pricey
I love the app and have been using it for a few years. But now I am asked to upgrade even more just to reorder the notes. I understand that everything costs these days, but it’s disappointing and I may move to another similar app.

Please stop glitching
I recently started using this app again to study for an exam and am getting so incredibly frustrated. I’m taking notes on a slide deck and I can’t go through more than 2-3 slides without the app glitching and lose all of the notes I took since the last time it saved. I’m genuinely getting behind on my studying because I have to keep going back and rewriting material I’ve already been through. I would’ve given up on the app had it not forced me to pay for the subscription once I got to annotating my 4/5th PowerPoint. (The issue became more frequent after having paid. Convenient.) I’d even accept there being a save button so I could save after every slide but it takes a solid 20-30 seconds if you try to back out and save the pdf which is even more time wasted. This isn’t even accounting for how after every glitch it takes me back to the very first slide of a 200+ slide deck and I have to manually find the page I was last on. I’ve tried updating the app, updating/restarting/charging my iPad, nothing works. PLEASEEEEE fix it I’m so stressed

Great app 0 complaints except for the thumbnail paywall which is a little inconvenient for my organization .
The new premium ruined it.
This app used to be amazing! there was so much customisation and it was the best notebook app i had found. Then they changed the “premium” so that you couldn’t move the slides around unless you pay? it’s ridiculous and completely ruins the app, i know it’s only a tiny thing but it’s one of the main customisation options and now i have to pay to simply move a note around. It has genuinely ruined the app, every other thing on the premium upgrade is understandable but having to pay to move a slide is silly. I really hope you guys change it back because it would improve the app and would make it easily the best notebook app again. Really hope you guys change it because other than this issue it’s an amazing app.
Paid subscription but not working
I honestly like the app and find it very practical, I purchased the yearly premium plan but for some reason it is not working and it’s asking me to repay!!!! I tried to restore purchases but it is saying to contact support, I did, let’s wait and see.

Sooo Buggy
There’s a lot to love but oh my there are so many bugs. I have the premium account and it takes several tries with the sync button to sync across my devices. If I click on one note it opens a different one. If I click on a linked note, it opens so many different windows I can’t get to what I opened. On the web version on my laptop, there is no way to delete anything. Zoho, you’ve been around a while. Fix this or give me my money back.
Am I missing something??
Is the "notes" section found in the desktop email interface not the same as the Zoho notes app? Mine is not syncing after multiple troubleshooting efforts.
Long Term
I use this for long term holding of thoughts or ideas. Keeping short term for other applications. The program is very easy to use. Helps to keep you organized. Using this application helps me clear the “stuff” out of my head

Excellent but need select all
Excellent app but frustrating if you want to select all text - only very occasionall brings up an option to do this. Most of time I have to manually highlight all text in order to change format.
Used to work on iPad
Love the app but since updating to iOS 26 on iPad I cannot export to email, messages, print. The app still works on the iPhone. When I design a list with check boxes and export (on phone) to print the check boxes are replaced with bullet points. Grrr if I wanted billet points I would design with them. It so frustrating.
Loved it until it froze completely
The app is wonderful - I really like the design and how easy it is to use. I even bought the subscription, but at some point, the app on my phone froze and completely stopped working. It doesn’t respond at all, and nothing seems to fix it. Really disappointed, because it’s such a great app otherwise.

Missing one thing for me
I very much enjoy this notebook, but my one gripe is that the font sizes are so weird. I’ve looked it up to see if I was missing something, but I’m not. All they’ve got is a literal slide in settings that affects ALL NOTES OF ALL THINGS. Why isn’t there a normal font size scale? All I have to work with is sizes 10, 13, 16, 18, 24, 32 and 48. That’s genuinely mad. Please fix this. Let us type in the size we want and then allow us to save preferred sizes or something? Idek. Frankly, I’m surprised this is even an issue to begin with.
No help
Got this app so that I could have my audio notes transcribed. Upon getting the app I found that I had to pay a subscription to do anything. Agreed to do the free trial thinking it would yea slate my audio recording, but it keeps saying that the file is not available for transcription. Tried to contact someone with the app, but you have to UPGRADE to a premium subscription just to speak with someone! Total waste of time and money. Not at all what it appears to be, in my opinion.
Cannot reorder the scanned images after done
I scanned a 44 page document and in between I wanted to reorder my images after 33 page after it is done. It does not allow me to re-order the images so I can merge and save to pdf later. Please fix this. Apple Notes handles these use case easily. I hope this can be incorporated. For now, I am going with Apple Notes to get my problem resolved. I will use notebook for scanning once this issue is fixed. Thanks.

I love to use this app very much for its unique and useful features. But from last 2 updates after opening the app it crashes every time.
Not smart like other note apps.
When having a checklist and you check it, Zoho notes doesn’t line through and put completed tasks below. Don’t use for organizing thoughts or note. Otherwise it’s fine.

What would I do without it? Shopping lists, to do lists, programmes I want to watch/listen to, all with nice colour pages to create Themes. Love it❤️
File export messy and poorly unorganised!
I loved using this app- until it was time to export some of my files to pdfs! The export/download your notes option is very messy and unorganised. Notes are renamed in long incomprehensible file names- in any random order and imagine 2000 pdf notes with no organisation whatsoever makes the download option entirely useless because you’re then left having to sort through thousands of notes to put them in the right order! (My notes in the app has titles but the titles are overwritten by long code names and therefore hard to locate once exported to pdf! ) I really wish there was an option to batch select the “files you want” to download as pdfs, rather than have to do them one by one. Because the export all files option is completely a waste! Even an option to select the notebook or collection you want to export as PDF would help towards better organisation- because then you could export each notebook separately- and all the files that belong to a single notebook would all be together- and the files should at least be saved in order of the date of entry, so it’s easier to organise them. Currently I have about 20 different notebooks with about 100 notes in each… sometimes I just want to download the notes from 1 of my notebooks- but there is no option to download via a notebook selection…. The only option for a batch download is to export and download ALL your notes from the app. So Imagine All 20 notebooks each containing about 100 notes- (2000 pdf files) all jumbled up together all entries muddled up, from all different notebooks in one folder! Tough luck trying to sort those pdf’s back into organised notebooks once exported!!! The only other option is to manually export them to pdf’s one by one! This way allows you to save files under identifiable names and provides better control over organising them in accordance to your preference…. But it is Very time consuming…. Imagine having to do this 200 times! Which is what I had to do and it has completely turned me off this app! I wouldn’t have written so many notes on this app if I knew that transferring them as pdfs would be such a headache! I love the colours, the ability to customise the cover of each notebook and was very drawn in to this interface which is why I have so many notes… but now I’m having to seek new apps that has a smoother and more organised export experience. PS- exports are necessary to archive my notes and store them on external drives to preserve my work, and clear up space from the app…. It would be really helpful if they would introduce a smoother more flexible file export experience, because I don’t wanna have to move to a new app….but sadly in the meantime - I’m in the process of migrating my files and in trying out new apps— hoping and praying that this App will introduce better export features before I settle with the new apps I’m currently trying out…. (200 down- 1800 more files to go…)

This is a good app. Hope the updates would be for the better. This is the best notes apps among the notes app. Can you also include a calendar or an index card (although it’s like a card notes) option on this app. Thank you ! I really love what you have done on apps. 2nd Review: After the new IOS update, they changed a lot of stuff. Mostly it was free but not anymore. I lost all the files I saved on using this app after the update so I deleted this app.
