Great simple app.
This app is perfect for a diary, with password lock. And it’s free!!
Weird Ads
I love this app for the simplicity and now I have years of notes stashed away here, but in the past couple months the ads at the top of the screen have become increasingly pornographic in nature. Not something I want to look at. Please fix your ad supplier.
pretty cool!
i like the simplicity, some note apps get too cluttered with features and it ends up becoming intimidating. also, thank you for not making the ads so annoying! definitely keep how simple your app is. i like the page flipping gimmick too and how you organize the dates, but i would like it if you can insert images as well. besides that tho great job!
Disappointing and needs improvement
I know it’s for iPhone but tons of people just have iPad and it needs to be suitable for it. Not everyone would want a diary on paper. So if they only have a iPad they will deal with a small screen it’s disappointing. I’m on iPad I do have a phone but I use iPad for writing and studying or drawings. So its disappointing how its literally just so SMALL it’s the size as a roach and how do u put a lock on it? It needs a tutorial and the pictures of the app shows a lock on it so where is it? It needs to be suitable for iPad and needs better improvements
Good
It is a good app can u please add it to the playstore so I can put this app on my Samsung Galaxy S25 ultra. Thanks
Great App
App is good to use daily
Impossible to use
The ads at the top of the page and the small size make it impossible to use on an ipad. This app is just windows version of notes with lots and lots of ads.
Nice!
I’ve had several notebook apps, but most I end up deleting because they’re too complicated/not very user friendly, or I just don’t like their design/functionality. This one is great. It’s like an actual notebook that you write in then turn the page etc. Very effective and user friendly. I may never buy another notebook again, I’ll just use this. I really like it!👍🏼

OK
I like the simple design, minimal bells and whistles are AOK for me. But the app has several issues. There doesn’t seem to be a way to change or enlarge the font. The page flipping doesn’t work consistently, sometimes it is really hard to get the pages to turn. Also when you want to search for something, you get the results but if you open one up and try to go back to the results, it seems to ‘forget’ the search and you have to start over. Worst of all is the unbelievable number of ads. An amazing variety of advertisers, so good for the developer. But they take up about a third of the page and I’d say at least 30% of the time when I click the down arrow to minimize the ad, if my finger is an iota off, it opens the ad instead. Hope these issues can be addressed in an update. UPDATE: arghh! You just moved ads to top where they take up less room but now they cannot be removed?! Please let us get rid of them entirely after we have seen them as was the case before! Or let us revert to the older version!
Amazing
Simple and perfect I like writing down stuff because I have dementia this is perfect
You’re on thin ice
I’ve been using this app for the past six years, and it was great. But I’m noticing a change that implies the start of your downfall. The ads. I was fine with the small banner ads that stayed in the bottom of the page, out of my way. But now when I open the app, a large banner takes up the entire page, preventing me from seeing my notes. There is no reason to do this. Though it seems you are becoming greedy. The app is great otherwise, but fix this. Seriously. It’s not a good look.
Great Journal, but…
There is some minor problems but overall pretty good! 4 star because it could be better.

Name chapters to find something you’re looking for
I like being able to speak . But I would like to separate By category’s. So I can title references , holiday etc. I’ve asked at least 3times with no responses. It looks like I will have to go back to notebook which is an android app. I really wanted to use this app because it’s for iPhone.
Reliable, stable, organized.
13 years strong here, straightforward notes app where I do all of my short-form writing--mostly poetry and songwriting. Super organized, has a search feature, date of entry stays the same even if you update your work, and if you do multiple entries in one day it shows you now many when you back out to view months/days. Sucks that ads default to block half the screen now, but flicking the app away and pulling it back up moves them out of view. If you want to backup your entries, you can find a simple Share All option in Settings and decide which method is right for you. This is the only app I ever use for more than a decade worth of writing and I hope that they maintain the same UI as they have since day 1. It is perfect as-is, coming from a professional, and I hope I never have to swap to any other app.
Wanted to like it - error messages and doesn’t work
Doesn’t work. Additionally contacting support isn’t secure. I won’t be using. Would have upgraded but too many red flags even if it worked
Why ads appearing more
Bruhhh
Fine, but turns into a worse version of itself if you use it for free for long enough
Tl;dr: I think this app is rigged to make the ads more annoying after you use it for half a year. I downloaded this app because it was the only one I could find that arranges your entries oldest to newest instead of vice versa like a social media feed. And its minimalistic approach is its greatest strength and weakness. (Sometimes I want to attach photos to an entry.) But one day, the app just switched up on me. Every time I opened it, the ad banner at the top of the screen would load for three seconds and then expand to take up 50% of the screen, so I can’t see what I’m typing until I click the little ‘shrink ad’ button in the corner. This change may have simply been added in an update… But it feels more like the app was programmed to wait until I was a long-time, stalwart user, before hitting me with bigger and better-paying ads, believing I’d be so hooked I would either put up with them, or shell out $5 to remove them. My greatest regret is not making a note of the exact day this happened, so now I have to guess based off of the slow decline of my journal-per-month rate: I downloaded this app in February, and my output peters off at July to September? Anyways, future users beware.

deleted all my notes
app was so good but then it deleted all my notes ??? everything i had is gone now??? it shows for a few seconds but never stays. how do i fix that???
So happy
I have been looking for several places to write and I couldn’t find any of that was my style and this one just fitted perfect perfectly for me. I just am shocked how fun it is in my perspective. I didn’t see any money costing for this app. I wish there were more apps like this that didn’t cost any money so thank you to this app I wish there were more apps that didn’t cost any money you got to download it
OK app, so fr
I like the simplicity of the app, and that I’m not bombarded by ads except across the header, which is tolerable. But I wish the page area were wider and larger, and also I’m no longer able to turn it sideways. That option which had an icon in the bottom right corner has disappeared. Don’t know why.
My favorite must have to list anything!!
Before I had this app I really wanted to download Spotify to list playlists but it needed 16 OS but since my iPad is Air 2 but still in good condition it will take a long time for 16 OS so I needed to list my favorite songs like hip hop songs and music also sad songs and music I also list healthy basics like yoga, workouts, and stretches it really will help in the future. But one thing I hope the developers of developer will add is new updates like cute stickers but I really recommend this app and hope you enjoy this rating!! And thank you for reading!!
Ads ruined it
I can’t even read what I wrote the ads are taking over the page and won’t move when you try to. You ruined your app, folks.
Bro
What the hell it removed all my stuff
Not really functional anymore
The ads now take up half the screen. Sometimes you can shrink them down most times I can’t. And it’s like this app and all other note pad apps are not so good now.
Wish it didn’t suddenly have pop up ads
I’ve been using this as my phone journal for years and it’s been great. Until this week, when the ads pop up over your page as soon as you open the app. 0/10. no thanks. Honestly I would rather pay for an app that didn’t have ads than use a free one with pop up ads.
MY WHOLE LIFE LIVES IN HERE
please never delete this app or stop updating it i love it so much ive tried so many notebook apps and this just does it the best and i’ve been using it since 2019 and my whole life is basically locked in here PLEASEE EKEEP DOING WHAT YOURE DOING
Horrible addition of ads
This was a really great app that allows you to journal by dates and search easily until the edition of ads that take up half the page and cannot be easily removed. Every time you click on the drop-down to remove it it takes you to a website with that advertisement. The button is so small that it’s like they are trying to get you to click on it so that they can get paid by the advertiser. I never write reviews but this time I felt compelled because it’s very obnoxious and unnecessary to take up half of the page.
Getting kicked out
I really like the simplicity of the app and I have had no problem but lately when I use it and I am typing in it the app kicks me out and I lose what I just wrote having to start again. This needs to be fixed asap.

Not mac compatible
Why would you say it's macOS compatible when it's not? I have a 14.2.1, M1 chip, and this app is nowhere to be found in the app store.
Great Journal!
I love using this app to jot down personal memories as they happen, and things I don’t want to forget. The way all entries from the same day fall on the same page, and then each page is a day, and the whole thing is essentially a chronological book all by default formatting is amazing for keeping track of life’s story! When I go back and read my memories, it’s like reading an e-book about my family’s life. So cool. Everything from the Table of Contents to each entry is intuitive—the thing just works. The flipping of pages as you go from day to day—charming! There are no unnecessary features that overwhelm me like in other apps; just write the stuff you want to remember. Simple. No need to save in dated folders—that’s already handled. No need to format some special document—that’s already handled. Easy. Charming. 10/10 Love it!!!!
Mad now advertising
I use this for notes information I need to keep track of now advertising advertising popping up and I try to get rid of it and instead takes me to the advertising I want my information and notes quickly for my doctors appointments at 75 don’t want advertising looking at using something else is frustrating after 8 years of use
It’s really good, it could use a few tweaks.
For example, a notification reminding me to write, or more customization options, but the app is nearly perfect.
A very Poor app
I find you can’t do much with this app not even do formatting.
It’s pretty good
I wish I could open several notebooks in the app. One for school notes and one for a diary for example.
The best notebook app!
I have been using this app for the last 4 years as a digital journal. Its simplicity and clean design makes it perfect, no bells and no whistles, just the essentials. I love being able to search through all of my entries and to see year after year what I’ve written. I also love the export feature so that it can be saved on another devise. It is truly the app that I’ve used through every season.
Pop Up Ads
Pop up ads have ruined this app. I used it for 3 years and thought loved it, but no more. I can’t enter my notes until I have cleared the pop ups, which often automatically redirect to a website. What a train wreck.
The app is what it says it is! 🏋️♀️
Overall, a nice and simple app! I like how unlike this one it doesn’t make you answer a bunch of questions about your mood and stuff and just lets you write straight away. The only thing I would wish it would have is the ability to change the font (bold, italicize, underline and that stuff) as well as the ability to add pictures and highlight! But otherwise, I really like the format of this app and how the transition of the page flipping looks! I’m so glad this app has the ability to have a password so my nosy friends won’t go through my stuff. (You can set a 4 digit password or Touch ID) super useful! This app is exactly how it is describes so I’m really happy about that
Notebook
I don’t like how you can’t insert photos
Simple,
Its simple.
The perfect diary app
Simplicity is key for my diary/ journaling process. Notebook just works. There are no distractions, entries are all time stamped and it syncs across all devices. I use Notebook several times a day and appreciate its ease of use every single time.
why
went to reread an old entry and the count of all my entries in each year started to drop to zero one by one. every word from 2020 deleted itself and when i refresh, it all comes back for 5 seconds, before it disappears again. tried typing a new note and it deleted itself after refreshing. i would be madder if it weren’t for the fact that a while ago i somehow was able to copy and paste all my entries into my iphone notes app. but why is this glitch EVEN A THING 😭
Great App
I do really like the simple book like interface for journaling. Would be nice though if photos or screen shots could be added
Nice, but haven’t back up automatically
There was not enough space on iphone, and app deleted, after download again all notes has gone.
Easy note pad
I like it! it's easy to get to know how it works. Moreover the rate is cheap for one year. AF.
