Love this app.
I’ve used it for GACHA.. when codes became a thing, then for C.ai, general writing, details for AU’s .. and background info for anything I need… I literally use it daily.
New update is terrible!
Now when I past anything into the document it completely messes things up! You use to be able to paste it and it automatically be in the same font, side and format as everything else, now it doesn't do that. So disappointing...
Syncing across devices
Love this app! When I’m out and don’t have my laptop with me, I opt for this app to write down my thoughts and ideas. Though I wish there was a feature that lets you sync across devices that’s not through iCloud. But great app!!
Lost my writing
This app so desperately needs a sign in option besides the iCloud because I had to get a new iCloud and I lost all of my writing, I am so devastated. And I cannot use this app in the future anymore cause that’s just so messed up.
It doesn’t let you bold, change font or increase size
No header, no italics, was mislead by the photo added by the app of different colours/bolded fonts. Was a bit disappointed by that if you don’t care about that stuff you’ll like the app.
Excellent… wish there was a way to bind account.
I don’t want to lose everything. Unless I just can’t find where to do it. But a very nice app. Will change to five stars if this is implemented.
Why no email capability
How ludicrous to make a word app that you can’t email to your computer for refinement. This app is a waste of space, it also deletes entire paragraphs if you touch the curved arrows. The creator was lazy or greedy, not making it easy to send documents by email. A few lines of code would enable this. It is a scam, and I am rewriting everything on here. I have screenshot all of my work, and sent it as photos on my email so I can delete this garbage. DO NOT WASTE TIME TYPING HERE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU DONT USE ICLOUD
Great for writing
This app is so good i got it yesterday and already made 4 different stories
Good but…
This app needs more creativity for like, fonts and colors. That’s all! ( I wrote a whole entire like 5 paragraphs about how this app needs improvements, but I accidentally deleted it and now I am too frustrated to write it all again. So maybe later I will. Sorry. )
it’s PITCH black,
hii so when I opened txt. It was pitch black so I went back it wasn’t if this wasn’t or was help 😔
Professional App
i’m a future author, and even my teachers put it in the notes of my report card! this app lets you write any book you’d like without tagging anything, no ads! and wifiless! try it for yourself!
No dark mode
Very limited options good if you don't want much but way too limited for me even basic stuff like dark mode should be included
AMAZING!!!
It’s AMAZING. My only issue is that I can’t figure out how to publish, and I know I can because I accidental almost published my story, but now I can’t remember what I did. Four and a half stars.
Text TXT worthless
While you can pick fonts and sizes in RTF files, it’s imperative to be able to set A text size in TXT files (And there’s no reason why different TXT files are of different text sizes. All that is there is a faint, horizontal line that is what I just typed. Not useful. It would seem that no one actually tried using that feature. You do have the promise of being a useful tool. Sometimes I have the need to create a pure text file and many apps actually create rtf files saying it’s flat text.
Nice
I like this app but at the beginning I had to search how to use it so I wish it came with instructions at the beginning.
Very helpful
An excellent tool for writing thoughts and ideas that pop up in your mind.
Lost half a day’s work
Use iCloud to store my saved files. Doesn’t handle syncing files properly which can cause old files to overwrite current work.
Good app though..
I love the app and how it helps me write the book I’m working on but I was writing some stuff yesterday and the next day I come and I’m 100% sure I saved it and it deleted all my work and that was kind of upsetting because I needed to rewrite it and I didn’t have it saved so if you could fix this, this would be most grateful the most helpfulbut overall grade app would recommend anyone who
Wish I’d known…
I would like to give you four stars but the whole reason I’m looking for a writing app is to be able to PRINT (on paper) what I write. If you could please let me know how to do that, I’ll give you all the stars you want!
Hopeless tried every button
Not sure if it’s my age or I have to pay to use this app. I was under the impression that this was free, I was looking for a app to have some fun with and unwind I don’t think this app will do
Really good for beginning authors
Im wanting to pursue being an author and this makes it a lot easier for me to practice
All my docs disappeared
I had a lot of documents now I have no documents. Heartbreaking.
One Feature Needee
Great app, but unless I’ve just not found it, it just needs the ability to download files to a computer.
No
I can’t print and when i want to do one word one size and other word other size it’s just one size. I wouldn’t use it for writing books. I’ve barely touched this app since I got other apps like Pages and Word. I do not recommend this app.
No distractions, helps me focus. Thank you, Just Write!
I am loving this app right now! Google storage crashed on me so I was looking for a way to save my fanfics and write my original story in safety, that was how I found just write. I love how I can do a folder for my book and individual documents for each chapter. The only thing is my world has some unique names and a language, and I haven’t been able to figure out how to turn off the spelling error guide or make my words show up as spelled correctly…
I love Just Write
I love Just Write! I’m writing a book using it and it hasn’t deleted it yet- if it deletes yours, I recommend to send it to yourself in mail- that’s how I got mine to save so I could publish it when I’m done with it without it deleting. I highly recommend using this app if you’re writing for fun or if you’re thinking to make a book to publish. There’s no ads and there’s no limit to how much you can write like how for some apps you need to pay to write more books or chapters or whatever. If you want to get an app to write on, Just write is perfect for that. It’s a great app!
Don’t use on two different devices
I installed the app in my iPhone and iPad. I wrote 5 pages while using my iPhone. I saved it to my iCloud and closed the app. The next day I used my iPad and wrote about 7 pages. I saved the document and closed the app on my iPad. I then opened the app and document on my iPhone and it was missing the 7 pages from the iPad. I think the app cashes the documents. I quickly closed the app and checked the document on the iPad and the 7 pages were gone
Great for the most part
The only thing that could be better is it would be great if it were possible to manually organize folders and documents. Other than that the app has been good. It saves my work consistently, unlike my other writing app that deleted large chunks of writing on me. I like the look of the interface and it writes really smoothly without any glitching. It’s a nice space to keep all of my creative writing projects.
Missing files
When I logged into the app today all my files are missing. Please advise how to restore?
Idk, it’s not bad not great. 🤷♀️
The app is mostly great, but as an author I would love if there was a way you could print off the app because as a young writer I do not have as many other options of places write for free on. Anyway good app guys, 👍
Perfect writing space
I love using this, before I ever used Novlr. Just Write is perfect, if you wish to work offline, and draft all of your writings. I recommend this app for anyone that enjoys writing, and wishes to have a distraction free platform to write.
Deletes your work
Sincerely disappointed with this app. Saved my document that I’d been working on for days, yet when I returned to review it, the document was shortened to a condensed version having deleted everything else. The worst part is there’s no one to contact or ways to troubleshoot.
Okay 👍🏻 ✅✅✅✅👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It’s good app I don’t really use it but sometimes I use I write ✍🏻 a story sometimes I don’t ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ L❤️O❤️V❤️E
Accessibility
This is a nice writing add end joy the easy flow, but it would amazing if I could access what I wrote on other devices. Currently whatever you write is only on your phone or iPad. Adding this would make this a 5 star app.
Not great, not bad.
It’s very basic, might as well be the notes app, except the notes are, like, files? It has ads though, but i guess that’s to be expected seeing as it doesn’t have a subscription. Bare bones writing app, 3/5.
At first I was confused
Ok so at first I was confused about how to make a story but I finally figured it out also make it easier to make a story
Files were deleted
Pretty much everything I’ve written for the past 5 years was on this app but its all gone now and I have no idea how to get it back.
Amazing for first time writers
I’m using this to write the draft for my first book before moving it to google and it’s amazing you can make a file for each chapter and make one for all of them control the font sizes check your word count and more really easily instead of having it be confusing like most writing apps it would be even more perfect if you could see how many pages you wrote but amazing for a free app
Fonts update is bad.
The new font update is really unnecessary. It’s constantly type writer and not normal.
Please
Can some one please send instructions for this app.
Love this
I honestly love this app, I’ve only just downloaded it today but I’m in love with it, it allows me to put my ideas on a page and then read it later, and it’s a very organized app so you can be a lot more organized with ideas! Anyways I hope this app keeps up with this great work of art!
MY WORK IS GONE
I started typing the beginning of a book and my work is GONE!!! NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. it was saved for days on the app and now it's completely disappeared out of NO WHERE
It’s good
Great, but every time I try and get rid of a font., I can’t do it even when I don’t have the font on the font keeps coming back, but it is great Britain app it works better than most apps I have tried
Not fantastic, but it works
It works fine as a basic writing app, and it’s not making my work disappear and reappear randomly like my old writing app. That said, it’s not fantastic either. I have to reopen whatever document I was working on every time I leave the app to check something, which gets kind of irritating. There’s basically no options for customization either, so if you want to stop seeing hyphenated words every three lines you’re out of luck. Learning what does what is completely random too: I found out asterisks and hashtags give you italics and bolded words completely randomly. I’d give it more stars if it had more options to customize your writing, like an actual button for italics and bolding instead of bizarre shortcuts and the option to turn off hyphens. And also if it didn’t boot you out of your document every time you switch apps. That’d help too. At least it’s free.
Not completely access friendly
I like text editors that allow me to create files and folders in a text format. Being blind this is of great use to me without all the problems that other formats cause with extras that are meaningless to me. This is a nice little editor but could be improved with more accessible coding to allow me to find some of the buttons on the screens. Thus the 3 star rating.
Love this app
I went through a couple other writing apps before I found this one, and they were all kind of confusing to me (my brain works very weirdly). I didn’t really understand how they worked but this app is pretty easy to figure out. I use it a lot when I’m brainstorming for ideas, because I LOVE writing. I’m glad I found one that works for me =D
I Don’t Like
Me No Like
Does it’s job.
I use it to write lyrics. Doesn’t have a limit to notes like a lot of these apps do. Easy to keep things organized. Overall a good app.
Its okay, the worst writing app I used
I prefer apples pages to this application
Please update!
I enjoy using this app, but recently I have noticed that it freezes and will not let me reopen it until I have reset my entire phone. Fix this issue and I will give the app the five stars it deserves.
