Writing is so good in here
I love this APP I’m writing a book with Werdsmith and to be honest it’s so good to work with I doesn’t take space in my iPad so yes I would definitely recommend this to new writers, I’m on chapter 91 already on my book so yes I love it ♥️🫶🏼🫶🏼…..
Prompts.
I love this app, but one thing I hate is that you can use prompts when you are stuck, but you only get 30 prompts. If you want to get endless prompts, it costs over 100 dollars each YEAR. This Werdsmith will make me poor and broke. Do not download!! And that is not my ONLY problem.
It is amazing exept
it has every thin a wrighter needs but it doesnt have outo correct that way it will correct grammer and speelling correction also I think it sholder give us 50 prompts that can go up to 500 words because the prompts some times are accidentally clicked if you can’t make these adjustments I would gladly give you five stars(please respond with action to these asks.
Crash
App crashing on iphone13
Great but could be cheaper
Absolutely love this app but I can’t really afford the subscription prices. I’ve been looking for a good screenplay witting app and Werdsmith would be perfect if a little cheaper!
Awesome!
Usually, I love writing and people said that I was very good doing that but Roblox got in my way.. I haven’t been the person I was. A child of God. But now I saw this app wondering what it could be and when I opened it, it was like exploring a whole new world. Now I write more than I had in years. Thank you for showing me who I am. Now I read bible more and write more I am current,y writing a book. But truly, even if you don’t care about this message, I just want to say thank you
The Ghostwriter Error
The ghostwriter prompt is annoying because when there is and error it takes away a prompt and I’ve had about twenty or thirty errors. So i don’t like it very much and can’t rely on it much. But other then that i enjoy it and find it easy and simple. So thanks for building the app, i just hope you can fix this in the future. Plus I lost one of my stories by making it an archive and could not recover it since it would not let me and I had n9 idea how to delete ā project and all th videos online are outdated and do not have the same things as I do.
Nice, but I have an issue
Whenever I select words and start dragging, the screen moves up.
Could be perfect, BUT...
Very good app with just the right features: FaceID, on Iphone and Ipad, always status bar and project goals. All very good! But the actual writing screen looks hard to read. The text is too small and the formatting options are almost non-existent. This is a big bummer for me. The whole page setup and text size needs to be adjustable otherwise there is no way I could write in this app for long stretches of time. Text need to be as easy to read as possible, otherwise its no good.
Woerdsmith: Writing App
I really like this app and the font only it’s just I wish we could do chapters it doesn’t let me do that also I wish there was a way we could like publish them on the app.
You have to get this!!
Ok so I am writing a novel and this helps me perfectly! Wouldn't rather use any other app to he honest here's why, first off it has a section where you can store your ideas so you won't forget them. Second of all you can put in the goal of how many words you want to have written in a day, and then it tells you how many words you will have written in a year and if it is equivalent to how many numbers of novels you want to write. Third of all it keeps all your writing safe and seperate. I would definitely recommend this app😆👍🫶📚🖊📝
Very useless app
First of all, do not purchase this app. Unless you’re willing to shell out big dollars, it’s pretty worthless and if you do purchase it, it’s pretty lame and offers no serious benefits for writing. Do yourself a favor and use ChatGPT or Claude which are both far more helpful
Pretty Good
Really good app with a lot of space for free and ai assisting writing. Just wish it gave you more ai sentences than 30 for free. Otherwise 10/10
Used to be good
When I first downloaded this app I loved it but that was like 7 years ago. As more updates rolled out you started looking more and more content. The content that you used to have access to kept getting locked behind an ever growing subscription. I used to pay the subscription for random months but it’s just gotten ridiculous. I have definitely called out of love with this app
glitchy and too expensive
its pretty glitchy outy and when i try to open parts, it just crashes, i dont know if its because my devise quality was super low, or the app is bad. over all, its a pretty good app, but it charges £85 pound a year wich is super steep.
Werdsmith is great!
I love wordsmith! It is great to use if you are writing a book or even an essay for school. There is a trial that if you pay you get 150 free prompts per a month and if you don’t pay you still get 30 free prompts per a month
So frustrating
I can’t get to printer. Once or twice I’ve accidentally found it trying every thing, then can’t get to the same place when I try again.
I’ve love this, app but something is wrong that I can’t fix.
Hi, I’m a child writer, and I’ve loved this app for the past week that I’ve had it; it’s simple, easy, and keeps me more organized. Even though most of this app is great something is wrong. Today as I was writing I hit back space and my curser jumped. I tried putting it back but it jumped to the same area that it was before. I’ve tried it with a different key board and I had the same problem. I love the app, but when you can’t see where you are writing it’s very hard. Anyway I love the rest of this app, and I don’t have the subscription. I was going to give this app five stars yesterday, but then this happened. Thanks for reading this….
Ghostwriter
The app is amazing my only problem is the limited free ghostwriter. It really annoys me also it’s not to practical for users especially if they don’t have the money for it.
DEVS PLEASE READ 🙏
The red dots that appear underneath a word that we “spelled incorrectly” are extremely annoying when you’re spelling a character’s name. PLEASE give us an option to disable that for specific words.
no “free” option, really
I’m not signing up for a free trial before I earn the privilege of paying $100 a year, sorry.
one issue
I adore werdsmith! the formats and fonts and ghostwriter to help with artist block. However, theres one thing. You have to pay a subscription membership, £85 a year for unlimited documents. AKA your STORIES. after an amount of time your not going to have any space to DO THE APPS PURPOSE unless you pay £85 a year! ridiculous. Although its still a great app for me.
This is annoying
I’ve used this app for years now. And all of a sudden I have to pay to use this app? I don’t have the kind of money lying around to pay for a writing app. I don’t want to have to transfer all of my stories onto a whole another app so I can continue writing. This really annoys me
Ridiculous pricing. Your app isn’t worth that much.
Your app isn’t the craziest thing yet. Sure I love writing on it, it’s real fun and dandy. I like the set up and simplicity.. It’s just a good writing app, okay cool. It can *write*, that’s great! But we have to pay 139.99 a year for membership??? It’s a WRITING APP! Oh my God, you literally write in it and that’s it!! Yet you’ve made it so complicated to just change the theme or have the full experience! Because to have the full experience you want our money and no more. Not all your users have the patience and money to give it all to you, have some dignity over yourself!! Like I said, IT’S AN APP FOR WRITING; YOU LITERALLY CAN’T DO ANYTHING ELSE WITH IT?! HELLO? Besides some ai thing I don’t know too much about to comment, but c’mon..
Fun and easy
Very easy and very fun to use completely safe for anyone and helps keep everything organized which is a big help if your and author like me it just makes sense and would recommend to anyone
Tricks You Into Subscribing
I appreciate apps that are transparent about what is free and not, and doesn’t waste your time thinking you are using free features only to hit a limit and have to pay a ridiculously high price ($99??) to continue. Wordsmith is not that. I write poems, many of them short. After spending time moving poems from a Google Play store app (that was free) to Werdsmith, I got a notice saying I only had X documents left for free. $99 when many other writing apps out there are free, and the only people who possibly use Werdsmith are the wealthy. Sad this only markets to a certain class.
Love it!
I use Google Docs too, but Werdsmith is awesome in a pinch. I’ve experienced a few bugs occasionally, but overall it’s really easy to use and the free version has a good amount of features to it.
Meh - Use OneNote instead
Really not worth the price of the membership. Yeah its snazzy looking and there are a bunch of interesting features, but memberships are dirty, dirty money schemes. I would rather pay for an app out-right. Just calculating that you would hit triple digit payment total after just a year and a half of using this app makes me cringe. This app designer thinks authors are rich. Only thing rich here is his sense of humour about the pricing. Use Microsoft OneNote. Fabulous for note taking, idea gathering, sharing across platforms, mild formatting, and best of all its free.
Ai
Ai is very basic
The biggest thing in my life right now
It’s a butterfly in my life I write in it a lot I wrote sixteen novels already! And twenty four story’s I really hope you have an update for something new! But I don’t like how it doesn’t let me delete one of my novels 😭 but eventually I will get the hang of it
Was good... sucks now
Too expensive to use. Paid for it years ago and now they want me to pay over $100 just to have a monthly subscription for it. 🙄 no thanks. And as for your updates maybe you should make an update to the price and lower it. Y'all don't offer much to be charging an arm and a leg when there are better apps with way lower prices. App works fine. Does what a notebook app does. It's the price that people hate and it's making y'all lose money and loving customers because at this point charging what y'all are charging is showing that y'all are getting greedy like every other company on the planet.
Some things don't make sense
This is a really great app. However, I believe that format options like 'novel' and the others shouldn't require payment. They should be included for free with the app since it's designed for writers, and all writers should have access to those formats. Thank you for reading! I hope you consider my feedback.
I need help!
When I downloaded this app the first time, I fell in love with it. I'm 17, and I've written 4 books already. It was an easy way to write my new ideas and brainstormings. But something happened, that made me very unhappy. I have an IPad 1, and it cannot be upgraded past iOS 5, therefore, i can't use Werdsmith. I had several stories written in it, and now I can't recover them. Also, I downloaded this App for free, why the sudden change of price? I can't afford a new IPad, I suggest you maintain the compatibility between iOS 5 and Werdsmith. Please, this is coming from a desperate author. I trusted this App because it had never failed me before, and now, countless hours of work have gone to waste! I beg of you, bring iOS 5 compatibility back! Thank you!
Great app but ridiculously priced
Love the modes, ease of use and stylishness when writing. I’ve used the app for years but the price is so astronomical I can’t continue to use it.
BEST APP EVER!!!
Absolutely love this app! It was recommended to me by a friend and now I’m obsessed!! I have 4 books and a song written in here so far! And the prompts are an absolute lifesaver!! If you’re looking for a free and easy to use app for writing this would be a good start!! Anyways! Thx for reading my review! Hope whoever reads this has a great day/night! ♥️
Not secure?
I found this app had updated itself - I have removed it due to security concerns.
Wow
It’s a amazing app and I love how I can privately write my own stories the only thing I would suggest to make more people get the app or make it more interesting or enjoyable is that I think you should have an unlimited amount of prompts that’s free because a lot of people do get writers block that’s all please consider this I think it would make the app a lot better
Пропала запись!
Глазу то приятно, но когда начал писать заметку, свернул приложение и вся информация в записи пропала. Хрень.
Werdsmith One: Some Things Are Boring.
Werdsmith would probably be a great app to write with but just a heads up after about five minutes of typing I get really bored because there are not enough things in the app that can make it more fun. But, other than that, Very Good!
This is honestly very good!
Better than word by a lot! This might be (in my opinion) one of the best writing apps ever!
ghostwriter
i was happy to pay for this because i can afford to and it’s everything i want in a writing app. then you added gen ai. whatever, it’s tucked away somewhere that i won’t accidentally click. didn’t bother me enough to stop using the app. and then i finally updated to the latest version. the button to activate your ghostwriter is now in a spot where it’s almost impossible not to accidentally hit it while going about my regular writing. and i do NOT want to use this function! ever! please, for the love of my fragile sanity, move the damn button somewhere else. or add a way to disable it. i don’t want to stop using this product. in every other aspect it’s pretty perfect. all i’m asking for is a way to turn the ghostwriter off. fix it and this is, once again, a four star app. (admittedly i wish the search function, uh… functioned. at least a little bit better. it currently won’t search my entire body of work—only the most recent things i’ve worked on. not a huge problem as i just access it on my computer and use ctrl+f but it’s still annoying. fix both these issues? it’s easily the best writing app on the app store.)
Just a few things
Love this as I’m currently writing a novel just I would love to see them have a more organised app like chapters and drawing options.
New font is Awful
I love your app but after the update, you changed the font. I really like the old font you used, it looks so perfectly fit with a writer. The worst thing is your new font do not have the full Vietnamese version, therefore, several letters look different from the rest :(
My opinion (best app ever)😝🌸🎀
I just wish we didn’t have to pay for more ideas for our book, it only gives us 30 and when you use it all of the like ideas you have to pay
scammy
I’ve used this app for as long as I can remember, back where it was mostly free with one-time payment options. I remember buying more writing space. Now, the membership has replaced my purchase and I cannot create more documents. I can’t help but feel like I’ve been scammed of my original money I spent buying an “upgrade” that isn’t there anymore.
Ok
I quite like this app but the only thing that annoys me a bit is you have to have a subscription for lots of things, apart from this I love this app but I really need to get into a better habit of writing
Almost great
I love pretty well everything about the app - counting my words/how long I’ve written for, the aesthetic and inspirational design/quotes, and everything else - but only allowing you to keep six projects for free is ridiculous, really. I can understand needing premium for other things, but for creating more projects? Really?!
