Nice
It is very comfortable to write
Poor Shape Recognition
So far app is good, but i would like you to add some basic features which other famous note taking apps already have. The first one is the laser pointer, and the other one is whenever you try to form shapes, then either it won’t recognise it or it just form another shape. I literally drew a circle, it made a line out of it which is so irritating. And not even 2 or 3 times, it happens most of the time. Plz try considering it as i am a premium user. The last is the dotted pen, which are also missing
Missing
Add sticky note option
Importing and Exporting Documents
App is not importing Documents from other Apps, updates are once in a blue moon.
Misconfigured email client by team element
When I attempted to mail the team feedback, I was met with an error saying that the email client is misconfigured ‘554 5.7.1 : relay access denied’ Please fix.
Simple and practical
Good one
Syncing error
Account not syncing with iphone and ipad with the same cloud and account after multiple attempts
Please add this feature
Elemental Notes is a very good iOS note-taking app with a smooth handwriting experience and clean interface. I really enjoy using it for writing notes. However, I would like to request an important improvement. After writing with the pen tool, the handwritten text cannot be selected or edited later. Because of this, it is not possible to change the color, resize it bigger or smaller, or make adjustments after writing. This would be a very useful feature for students and regular users. Please consider adding an option to select handwritten notes after writing, so users can edit color, size, and manage their handwriting more easily. It would make the app even better. Thank you for your hard work and for creating such a helpful app.
4/10
Good for notes taking but app crashes frequently in the middle of classes
Great app but few important features needed
Features URGENTLY Needed: • Option to on/off to switch back to Last used tool after erasing or using erase tool, depending on user needs. • Dark mode issue - it turn the whole PDF to a negative, instead of just the toolbar or interface. • Audio Recording with live handwriting. • Tape tool to hide & learn. • Lasso selected area as screenshot of PDF background, to pick up notes from PDF & paste elsewhere collectively. All in all superb app with minimalist clean design for note taking and amazing pens & brushes. Toolbar customization is best in market… coming from Notability & not using it anymore. 🤣 given these requested features I would buy lifetime membership in a heartbeat. 💗
The best of the best
I have been using this app for close to a year. It’s the best of all note taking app. The handwriting is what I love about it. Silky smooth. Rich UI as good as an apple 1st party app. Loving it. Hope the developers keep supporting it and not drop the project.

No (Laser pen) feature is available in this app.
App , and its ui is also very decent and easy to use but the thing which i feel bad or -ve side of this is there is no (laser pen) feature in this app. I feel very irritating to have nothing while revising the notes as i prefer to mark the things and revise. I request to the team , to add (laser pen) feature in next upcoming update. Thank you
Keeps on crashing
On my computer, every time I open a PDF the app immediately crashes
Addition of custom templates covers
I am a pro user of the app and you should provide feature for addition of the new template in the application
More than perfect
I love this note app and it’s perfect with apple pencil, has iCloud sync. Moreover it has a lot of shapes, one can import images from the gallery. Thank-you dev!!
Crashes my iPad
The stupid app crashes on my iPad Pro 2020 every 5 minutes, it even shut my iPad off for 2 hours. It glitched that bad. DO NOT GET.
Vanishing pen
I have been using this app for quite a while now and i really love it. Would really appreciate if you added the feature of vanishing pen
App closes by itself
Sometimes when I am making notes app it just closes by itself even when I’m taking pictures of my textbook to add it just shuts and the pictures are lost
Sugerencia
Excelente app, aún que podrían mejorar las opciones de de texto y las fuentes
Amazing
Best app for handwriting. Please add pdf outline support. That makes elements the only note taking app I need. It is impossible to read large textbooks without outline support.
App is getting closed automatically after a 1 minute of opening , frequently
They are charging us , not providing the quality that they have to !!!
Overall happy but need some basic features
Overall the app is really good minimalistic easier to use. But including screenshot from lasso tool and switching tabs from the above bar from multiple pdf would make the app fulfill
Suffering with new updates
Really suffering with new updates no option to change individual pages if am trying to change paper it’s changing for whole note book I have no option to change existing pages help!
La nueva actualización fea
Al realizar la actualización borra la paleta de colores y ya no agrega la ´pagina antes ni después . Lo cual resulta poco práctico y además molesto.
The best note taking app for ipad
I tried Apple Notes, and a host of other apps. This one is the best. The script ( provided you have a decent handwriting ) that ends up on pages is beautiful. the writing experience is smooth. Highly underrated app.
Looking for alternatives now.
Some crucial features are gone with the update and I personally don’t like it anymore! Reasons: Double tapping the Apple Pencil should change the tool being used. It’s a universal standard for note taking apps. Recent updates have added hugely to the learning curve for the older users. I started to use element because of its simplicity. I don’t seem to find the feature which allows to add pages anywhere in the pdf, flexibility is gone. I hope the developers realize that keeping the application User Centric is of utmost importance than just introducing features amid semester.
WHERE IS MY EXPORTED FILE?
PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW TO ACCESS MY EXPORTED FILE
Eraser Tool Glitch
Date: 5 Dec 2024, using the version of the app. It automatically selects the eraser tool as soon as the colour or width or smoothness is changed. The one needs to reselect the pencil or ink tool. Please fix the app. I am using premium version and it’s so annoying and irritating.
No fonts
I like it a lot, but I’m sad that there isn’t any choice of font.😕
Poor App
Worst premium app, no customer support. No reply if you mail them. Trash app , annoyed for buying premium version. App will exit itself and lag. You can’t send your files from app to iPad or u can’t Download Your files from app. It will exit itself. If you search files in app it will exit itself. I’m using M1 chip IPad Pro so problem not on my IPad, it’s the app. Better buy some other famous app instead of this.
Won’t recommend
Its worst app I came across
Best Note Taking App
I have been using the paid version for couple of months and its really a good application with a nominal charge, but still needs to be improved a-lot because the AI features are not working at all and there should be few more features which i felt in need while using the app. 1. Laser Pen (Used while revising notes) 2. AI Summary (Used when a huge chunk of notes are to be watched at a glance) 3. Flashcards (To revise the important points at once rather than rewriting them on another file) And many more. If the developer is really interested in enhancing the functionality of the application then they can contact me through mail and I would love to contribute from my end.
smoothness missing
does not provide smotthness like a nibo or goodnotes. please work on it.
Issue with Wi-Fi connection
When ever I connect my iPad to Wi-Fi the app freezes out of no where and then force quitting the app is the only way out of this situation. Kindly fix this issue at the earliest. Rest the app is one of the best one I found so far.
Two much lag
During working in your app its lag too much. For this i have restart my ipad 10 time in 1 hour. Please fix it.
App freezing
This is the best notes app I’ve come across, and it really helps me in my mbbs note taking. But for some reason the app has started to freeze after writing for five seconds and it takes like forever for it to start working and register another stroke again going through the same cycle. This is highly frustrating, I love everything else about the app and was really thinking of going premium but this issue is holding me back now Plz fix this, I love this app Edit: No reply on this yet, disappointed. I want refund of my lifetime subscription, I don’t want to use this anymore.
A humble Request
This app is awsome but you should add a small toolbar at any side of screen to pick pen and eraser easily in full screen mode..
Premium rate is too high
The exclusive features is of good quality but the subscription rate is very try to reduce it ….because there is too much option to choose now…rate it competitively (collanote, noteful comes under half the rate of it)….it’s a competition market try to provide frequent offers every month and then….will improve to top list automatically
Does not save any photos or pictures
Great app for notes, but does not safe any pictures added. At first looked like everything works. When app is closed and reopened it doesn’t show any pictures any more.
Great App
App is small, Snappy available on macOS iOS and iPadOS i love it
keeps freezing
was all good til after 1 month of use. all the functions freeze after 1 click
fix it
Its rare but annoying when i try to write fast words just disappear automatically plz fix it
App
App is consuming more storage for taking notes and imported pdf’s are unable to share……
Issue with copy paste in PDF file
In a pdf document, its impossible to paste an item selection after copying. The paste option keeps showing on the top corner of the document and when you press paste there is no action of it being pasted. Please fix this issue, it’s making note taking and annotation very inefficient
Excellent App
I love the app because not only it has too many features but also the handwriting is too good in this app.
Glitches
It was working completely fine until a month ago, it keeps freezing and nothing it working properly. I spent so long making notes on it just for it not to work. Please fix this.
Great app, needs few modifications
So far loving the app. Please just add the option to insert tables. It’ll be perfect then.
Could have been great
I have enjoyed using this app for less than a week, up until yesterday when all of a sudden I can’t export my file and the screen keep freezing on me. I sync all my data to iCloud but when I tried to uninstall and reinstall it again everything was synced in aside from my most important note - my school note which the app wont allow me to export and when I reinstall the app it was gone. I don’t know how to recover it. I tried contacting the developer to no avail. This is devastating.
Good app but many issues.
For some reason I am not able to move text (cut, paste) from page 1 to page 2. I can only paste content copied/cut from page 1 to the same page. Due to this I am not able to organise the content in my notes.it would be helpful if you could give me a solution for this! Thank you!
