Rigged
Dont waste your time ! Accidentally clicked 200k went to cancel , no way would it let me ! Then game would no way give me the rolls i needed to win !! Total bologna !
Don’t recommend
This game stinks. There’s no way to turn off chat and 9 out of 10 people on here are childish and rude. It’s not fun to play, anyway I’m going to download a different one.
Best out there, but needs improvement
I agree with several of the most recent reviewers on both the nature of the players and the “random” dice rolls. I have only started playing since November 2025 and have 168 gammon wins and 34 backgammon wins, but only a 70% win rate. I will play people who have maybe 15 gammon wins, none to 1 backgammon wins, a 36%-55% win rate, but have a winning streak of 4-8 and will beat me with such ease. They will conveniently roll the exact numbers they need to hit my pieces or sit back into a spot. I could have 4-5/6 spots closed on my board, but they will escape on every roll. But when it’s my turn to sit a piece, they may only have the 6 spot occupied and lo and behold I roll double 6’s one to three times in a roll and can’t sit. Or they have 4 and 6 occupied and I roll, you guessed it, a 4 and a 6 and then double 4s or double 6s for the next few rolls. The statistics don’t align with someone who has such a low win rate but high winning streak getting another win, versus someone like me with my playing skill. My win rate would easily be 90+ percent if these “random” rolls didn’t occur. The programmed algorithm of the dice rolls is not truly random. I can tell after a game or two when I will lose next. It’s like the computer wants you to lose at certain times. And I agree with some of the “people” I play. They don’t make logical moves half the time. They will rearrange pieces on their board rather than bear off which makes no sense. I also dislike the fact that you can win or buy new dice with gems or with achievements, but you can’t with boards. You can only win new boards if you complete the newest Album, but you have to collect Ace cards which are so hard to get. I competed a race and got an Ace card, but it didn’t actually award me an Ace, just lower star cards. So it’s nearly impossible to get new boards. Yet almost every person I play has a custom board. Lastly, the ads that cut into gameplay or even at the end of a game will cut game sounds and audio most of the time. I have to hard quit and restart the game to get the sounds to come back. So Gameberry, please listen to your players as we’re not dumb and can tell what’s actually feasible and “random” and what isn’t. Please fix these issues for better gameplay and don’t gaslight us into believing these things are truly random and the “people” aren’t mixed with bots.
Extremely buggy
I’ve been playing for over a year and the latest update is horrific. It locks up my iPhone and takes too long to exit hard close the app and get back in before your turn times out. I’ve lost a lot of coin I’ve played and doubled when I’m in a position to win. Just horrible update. 2026 May update - I’m done with the game. I played a 75k game when I had almost 16M coins, yet later in the day when I went back in, it had removed all but 2k coins. Support said I played a 10M game and doubled. They would not resolve the issue. So I’m done with the game. Hitting the delete button and moving on. Which is too bad because I played 10-20 games per day.

Luv playing Backgammon Friends Online. Been playing for over a year and it was great until recently when a glitch prevented playing, even if I tried many times. Now I’m staring all over without my original tag name and accumulated points. That’s frustrating, but at least it’s finally working for me again. Bring on the games!
BOTS and rigged!
This game is rigged. For a while you'll be winning and get your score pretty high, then all of a sudden you'll start getting players with weird scores that don't match their win rates. They'll get doubles over and over again. The game has many bots. Don't spend real money on this game. The developers are liars when they say there are no bots!!!
Faulty dice
The type of rolls these players get are ridiculous I know dice are a game of chance, but When I keep rolling 1-2, 3-1, and they are hitting multiple doubles back to back…. Come on now..lol
Glitching
It stops loading at 75% this is the first time it has happend since i started playing over 3 years ago. I have uninstalled and reinstalled.

Ridiculous
This game is so fixed. As soon as you finally start to accumulate rewards they set you on a losing streak and knock you down. The premise of the game is fun but when it’s set up against you it zaps all the fun right out of it. Thumbs DOWN. Lots of backgammon games out there folks. Don’t choose this one. You’ll regret wasting your time.
Free reroll doesn’t work
When you are out of gems and go to play a game, it asks if you want to watch a video to get a free re-roll. After you watch the video, you never get a re-roll option. You only get the option to re-roll using gems, which isn’t possible because you don’t have gems.
Fun but glitchy
The game is fun, but all of a sudden it just freezes and you can’t even force close the app cause your whole phone is frozen and then you end up losing the game because you can’t get back in fast enough. It’s the only game this happens with so I know it’s this app.
Bad Update
Since January 2025 update, game does not allow me to watch full episodes of videos to gain gems and coins. Game glitches when I play my turn. It either hesitates to recognize my play or times out.

Too many advertisements
Ads, ads, ads. I hope you like watching them because they will constantly stop you in the middle of games.
Surprisingly good
I was well surprised. This game seems to be more legitimate than any other game on the App Store. The dice rolls I’m talking about. There are some games with lovely graphics but they are as bent as a three pound note. This, although basic is a breath of fresh air.

Broken game
My wife and I wanted a game to play against each other. Should be simple but the game ended prematurely 6 out of 8 games. It just says you lose and stops the game. Deleted it. It’s also a giant commercial.
Great game
I love this app. The only comment I would make to the developers is to remove the very annoying "play fast" message from the message options.
So many ads, and loaded dice
I’ve deleted this game for the third time. The ads are constant and annoying. The stupid little promotions are ridiculous. But the worst is that the dice aren’t random, to the point it became predictable. The opponent regularly gets doubles as we start the race to the finish. Like every game again and again. You can’t convince me it’s random, and it just got old.

I have been playing this app for months and enjoy ‘friends’ I met on here. But lately, when I try to open it ….. it gives me a 50% sign and I can not open it. Please Help!
Bogus dice algorithms
As with most of these online backgammon games, the dice rolls are not random. They all seem to use the same bogus algorithms. This one is heavily biased on the opponents home side of the board. Move any of your chips on this side of the board and your opponent without fail will ALWAYS roll the perfect die to capture your pieces which is statistically improbable. Not sure why these games are unable to use random dice rolls Makes the game not fun. Deleting!
Is it unbiased?
Not a bad version of the game on the whole. At times, it’s odd that an unlikely sequence if throws appears just when you are vulnerable. And why are the vast number of players Turkish? That’s very odd.
Should be improve dice roll fairness
Would be a good game if the dice roll would be fairer. However this game provides you great dissatisfaction, when your opponent gets doubles 5 times with 5 and 6, while you get only 1 and 2 and no doubles whatsoever. Doesn’t matter how good is your tactic, you will loose. This should be improved, if you don’t want to loose your players. And this happening 4-5 times in a roll, then you might win, then will loose with same manner as above described.
What!!
The last 10 games I played generated EXACTLY the same rolls (not in my favour 🥲). 1st I assumed it was a coincidence but Three days later same thing. I played and enjoyed this game for over 2 years. A few glitches…but overall pretty good. PLEASE Address this. Thanks
Annoyed
I had to uninstall and reinstall so it would load past 75% and lost all my winnings and my rank. Now im back to being a rookie. I had over $8million and was high up in my level. Im not happy.. and i was loving the game till today..now i dont even want to play..
ZERO STARS! Game freezes and deletes coins
I was happily playing this very fun game for a few months and then it started glitching after I reached 10 million coins. The last game I played was for 5 million coins and the game froze on the second move so I reloaded and the game deleted the 5 million coins from my account. Then I complained and the game deleted another 8million coins so I went from 16 million to 2 million coins. Don’t waste your time on this BS game! It’s a glitchy mess and it’s biased in a home way. So unfortunate as it seems like fun but not when cheating is allowed. AVOID THIS TERRIBLE GAME! THERE ARE BETTER MORE HONEST ONES OUT THERE!!

Good fun game but not for the serious player
This is a well presented game but has a very poor dice AI which gives too many doubles. Sometimes three double sixes in a row, which makes all the games a running game. Also it has a fun feature which allows you to re throw your dice if you don’t like the roll. Hence not a game for serious players.
Frozen Screen
My Screen is Frozen with the Picture of the Octopus at 70%. I now can’t play the game - What is going on? Please Fix the Problem……..

I don’t like that the randomness of the dice is bad. I have been playing backgammon for years and have never rolled double 4’s 4x in a row when the only covered space the other player has is covering the 4?? Or rolled a 1 every roll for 10 rolls in a row. There is no way dice ever roll like that!

Uploading the game with 10 million in gold and it froze @75 percent… what’s up with that…
Ads causing loss!
Every single round I get served an ad! I can’t even play with my friend without automatically losing because I can’t click out of the ads fast enough to play my round. Disgusting.
Fun but fixed
I play this a lot but I do find it very annoying at times. 1. I don’t like the whole rethrowing of dice if you have gems - basically it is allowing people to cheat as they just reroll dice until they get what they want - you can tell when they do it as there is a very long gap after your go until their dice appear and they move. 2. The game dice are not random, the majority of my double sixes occur when I can’t use them - generally when I am on the bar and blocked from bringing my counter back on. Also there are times when I may need a specific number to come on the board and that number just does not come up and I spend almost all the rest of the game blocked - which according to the laws of probability is very unlikely but happens in this game. So you can tell the game is engineered to try and get you to spend money on gems so you can pay for re-rolling the dice.
