Rigged roles
Too bad the roles are rigged and you are not playing a live person during live play.
Overall great BUT SOME PLAYERS CHEAT
About 15% of the players found a way to cheat the system. I am not sure how. When a player has a series of roles that have less than a one percent probability and that happens consistently, then there is an issue. Again, 85% of the games are fair and honest. But 15% of the games are clearly rigged and not mathematically possible.

I like this game, by lately it randomly quits in the middle of a game — it is super annoying!!! Please figure out a way to fix this glitch.
Oh well
I thought I finally found a backgammon game with random dice. At first the games seemed fair. They got increasingly less fair over time.
Great game
Love this backgammon game. Play it all the time. Great for playing with friends.
Gym
I deleted and reinstalled the game due to what I thought were accounting errors. After reinstalling the game my level went from 93 to 1. My score went from over 7,000,000 to about 200. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it again and I am back to a level 93 and my points have been restored. I don’t understand how that happened but I am glad it did. The game refused me to make a legitimate move until it timed out. It is a great game with problems. Some day hopefully the problems will be addressed.
The best BG app so far
This is so far the best BackGammon app I ever played. And I’ve played most of them. Key moments – first of all it gives you all your points. If you win 1000, you get 1000, if you lose 1000 – you lose 1000, every other app takes percentage off of your winning points for some unknown reason. Usually 40%. You win hundred, you get 60. Total scammers. Not in here, and this is very important, because they do not try to scam off your points, kudos to developers. Another one – dice generator. This is the best dice generator so far that I’ve seen. like I said, I’ve played most of the Backgammon apps. Most of their dice generators suck. And you can predict the dice that your opponent is going to get with 90% possibility. They will always get that one in a million combinations that will make you lose. And again - Not in this game. 90% of the time the dice is random, once in a while, it might give you two or even three doubles in a row, but that happened to me only once in more than 100+ games I already played, and this can really happen sometimes in real game. And Sometimes is the keyword here. In all other times, the dice is absolutely random and unpredictable, which let you play to the best of your abilities without knowing that your piece will be hit with almost 100% possibility in the most crucial moment of the game. Couple things might need some tweaking, but I wouldn’t even mention it, not to give the developers any ideas that might affect the whole performance :)) If it works fine do not try to fix it. And most importantly, I’ve played BG for over 50 years by now, so if you do not make any dumb moves, you’ll be able to earn your points pretty fast. Although sometimes I think that the person that I’m playing, is not real, because some moves they make look ridiculous, but hey, we are different, we think differently and who knows, maybe that is the way they play. Verdict- Good App!👍
Fixed Rolls
I posted an earlier review (mid-June) about how this app froze at loading to 85%-88%. I rated this app a ”1” at that time, sadly. The developers really did a nice job getting the upgrade fixed, and the upgrade has gone through a couple iterations since. I want to give this backgammon app a “5”, but I cannot, sadly. The plus side is every time I have emailed the developers, they have been very prompt to respond. They have asked the right questions, they took care of the issues, and even followed up with me. They demonstrate that they care and they want to fix the issues. 5 STARS for that!!!! The downfall has been the rigged rolls which EVERYONE has experienced throughout the latest upgrade iterations. It has become RIDICULOUS regarding the improbability of rolls needed and what is being made. Even those rolls to my advantage. Prior to the recent iterations, the rolls still appeared to be “normal”; I.e.: within statistical probability. Lately, the improbability has become absurd. The randomness of rolls needs to be fixed, please. This is still a better-than-average backgammon app. I do enjoy it and find myself playing nearly every day. But, let’s get real here, guys! Let’s return to absence of normalcy. Thanks! Dr Jimmy33982

Rigged Algorithm
Game starts out fine. The more you play the more predictable it becomes. Opposite player will roll multiple doubles to my few or none. Make the game more realistic!!!

I have been using this game for quite awhile with two others, it is one of the best ones.
Game fair, but ads make it not worthwhile
Several minutes of ads that cannot be bypassed before game. No paid version available. Deleting. More time watching ads than playing.

Vomits out continual stream of long commercials.
Seemed to be a great game until it started requiring constant consent to its data gathering on behalf of “trusted vendors”. It wasn’t enough to reject their options once, no, it was constantly filling out the same consent form even though each time using my information was restricted. Since then the game persistently and consistently vomits out a continuous stream of commercials that go on and on and on…
Fair games
I am addicted to this game, it was getting stuck and they said it’s fixed. I hope. I’d give it a five star,but let’s see first
Tiresome!
I like the app, don’t get me wrong, but I hate the amount of ads! It is refreshing to find a game that appears to be playing fairly in one player mode v AI. Others I have tried always throw exactly what it needs to win! If there was an option to kill the ads I might continue with this app, but it really annoys me so much as it is.
Glitch!
I love this game but….. when I was over 500,000 points the app glitched and won’t open for me. Hard when a person is addicted to playing this game.

Very flawed game
The developer seems to love to reply to reviews with “all dice rolls are 100% random”. Well, it’s an algorithm that controls the dice, and algorithms are not random. Play this game a few times and you will see the controlled dice rolls. I’ve played tournament backgammon for over 25 years, and if the dice rolls were like in this game I would have quit plying a long time go. Completely ruins the game.

Hard single play is not better AI just loaded dice
As in the title. It stops being fun when the computer isn’t a challenging player but only winning because of dice not being random.
Single game dice is not random for computer
It gets really tiring when the computer gets exactly the number on the dice to send you back to start…out of 10 times it gets it 9. This human gets it 4 out of the 10. I get a computer wants to win…but come on…make it random
Not opening
For the past two weeks, this app is not opening. It tries to open but stops at 84%. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? If so, perhaps programmers can fix the issue. It is typically a good game but obviously if you can’t play it’s no good.
Cheating
I have read a lot of the comments and apparently you have a big problem with this game cheating!!!! FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!
buggy update was fixed
Thanks for fixing the crashing update. Overall, I like the app even if it is pretty easy to win against the AI. I like the challenge games since they are more challenging than playing the standard set up. Customizations are a nice touch.
It’s not random in single player mode
As stated in other reviews, the amount of doubles is out of proportion. I know, I play for free but it doesn’t make it acceptable. The interface is nice and I like the look and feel of the game (besides the issue).
Down for days!
I’ve been trying to play with a friend for days but we keep getting error messages. Is this going to be fixed anytime soon? We really enjoy this game.

Highly manipulated app
Everything with this app is fixed. From the dice rolls, to the eventual winner. Which the app selects. Supposedly you are playing against a live opponent, but in reality you are playing against the app. Even the spin wheel is fixed, in alternates between a token or points, every other spin. Play some games, you'll see.

No longer feels like genuine dice rolls
This WAS the only app I played that felt like it was using genuine random dice rolls instead of rigged dice in PvP games, but not anymore. Gameplay is clunky but the dice rolls used to make up for that, but not anymore. Dice rolls now feel rigged with too many doubles and exact dice rolls to be genuine. Another game ruined by cheating dice. Pity.
Newest update downgrade
Dice were more realistic before the update. They were 3D before and now they are 2D. Not sure what else changed but definitely liked it better before.

I love this game. It has improved my skills so much. It is fun and challenging. I especially like being able to play people from around the world and I can also play the computer. This last update was filled with new challenges and extra awards. The other backgammon game I used to play was boring compared to this one! My game name is J24racer, join and challenge me!

This game promotes hitting your opponent when they are vulnerable and sending them back. Almost every time, the dice roll is fixed so this happens. Dice rolls should not be pre-determined!

The game developers have no understanding of probability…or they do, but just don’t care. The dice rolls seem rigged. While bearing off the opponent gets several dice doubles to miraculously come from behind and win the game. The game is thus not fun, and should be avoided. It’s not worth the time and frustration.

Great graphics and play options, but too many unbelievable dice rolls for the game’s RNG not to be AFU :)
Slanted towards computer
Computer will always get what they need to hit you & rolls abundantly more doubles than you ever will. Frustrating! You rarely get what you need to hit. One space open to come off Center - computer will roll that. 3 spaces open for you takes multiple rolls to get giving computer lots of time to block. Love the challenge but not when after multiple games the slant is so obvious!!

Good app for playing. Only thing I don’t like is the length of the adds between games. I realize there will be adds….but these seem to take a few days.

Ok but…
This is a great game I love backgammon I paid 6.99 for no ads, what a waste that was, I am still watching game ads. Not as great as I thought this would be, and the amount of people that can’t finish the game cause they are loosing, poor sportsmanship all around.
