Great game
Rigged Dice.
Dice is not random. Somehow the game decides either you should win or lose. I guess if you buy coins it may tilt it to your favor. Very frustrating they way that rolls ! Don’t give them a penny! Isn’t it interesting there are so many people say the same thing! I have played backgammon for a very long time and I have never seen real dice roll they way they roll in this app. Just impossible! And please save your breath and don’t respond to this review! And please save your breath and don’t write back and say otherwise! Rigged!

That’s a good game
Easy to use but unfair dice rolls
I like the layout and competition, but is quite obvious that if you don’t spend money with them The dice rolls are heavy, very heavy against you. Four spaces open and could not get off the bar in five rolls. Doubles are highly leaning to one side nearly every game. There are likely better options, will give those a look.

Another rigged rolling algorithm to force purchases
Started off great. You build a big war chest, then dice turn against you and try to force you buy tokens to play. Why can no one make a genuine, fair game?

I’ve noticed so often that the numbers I need show up on the opponents dice on their next roll. I don’t believe the rolls are random but are controlled by the game. Not fair.
Super rigged
The worst backgammon app ever. This app is designed to take your money—don’t trust them. They’re constantly trying to force you to buy coins through ridiculous dice rolls, taking advantage of players and draining their money. I will also report this app to Apple Support to hopefully prevent others from being scammed. Be aware of this extremely rigged app!

Enjoying the game Decent
Don’t waste your money.
When you get hit and you’re on the bar, you’ll wind up rolling double sixes or something that way you cannot get off the bar and there’s four other spots wide open. Sometimes even five spots area open and you’ll roll the numbers so you can’t get out and sometimes it keeps happening and repeatedly in that game. which is really frustrating. Their response is gonna be the BS answer. They gave us a random number generator.

This game is better than other backgammon games I have played. It still feels a little rigged. Also I hate that the biggest number goes first making it impossible to strategize when moving from the bar.

Do not. I repeat, DO NOT, waste your time or money on this garbage. Bots totally run the show. Good luck getting fair rolls. It’s impossible. Every time I have an open checker I get knocked out. And will take multiple rolls to get back in. And that’s when most doubles happen. Too bad it’s always for blocked ones. Quit ruining a perfectly wonderful game you schmuck developers.

Hi!I am very sorry to say but I always lose when I play .The Games are not balanced. Me as a starter (level 6)should not play with players with over level 30! Please fix the game!I gave it 4 stars because is fun when i am Playing it!But that 1 star minus is for unbalanced matches.😊I think you can fix it and I will give you another rating!😊😁

Very weak software. It hangs a lot and sometimes right in the middle of the game , it will announce you a looser. Definitely don’t recommend it.
Not Random Dice
It appears that your dice rolls are not random. When playing, you can see what roll is needed and 80% of the time, your guess is correct. Doubles are showing one sided and grouped. If your winning percentage is too high, plan on losing several games in a row.

False Difficulty
Just my opinion, the difficulty seems to only increase in the sense that the CPU gets more advantageous rolls when it is at risk of losing. That is not a skill based modifier, it is giving the computer an advantage. It should be reactive to choosing the best move on randomized rolls, like a truly skilled opponent would do.

Player For Years / My Final Report
*Not recommended* I’ve been playing this app for almost ten years. I’ve enjoyed it, but am now concluding that the dice roll algorithm isn’t close to realistic, as there are many times I roll almost five doubles in a row, and other times I roll nothing more than 1/2 or 1/3 back to back. I’ve seen the cookie cutter replies from the app team, and while they express assurance that they’re coding implementations are above board, I contest that a decade of observations indicates their RNG merely compensates for dice roll gains and losses. I know my comment will be replied with something that refutes my claim. I also don’t recommend this for the driving of gambling urges for the sake of revenue. I’ll play this game until my funds are depleted.

When the game is good it’s really good. When it’s bad it’s really bad. There is no inbetween. This game is aimed for you to purchase coins.

Yhis one has xhanged- ive been playing this app for LONG time- over 13 years - not as it was. Making up their own rules - sneaky moves to change outcome - like what dice rolled, and other is a shame idk if same opperartor or not— but not good honest game anymore imo. Still free to play, but,,, Frustration!!

Been playing this for years. Playing against real people matched to my ability means I never get bored. There are options for in-app purchases but they aren’t essential. However I get none of my chores done - I never want to put this game down!

Limiting actions
I really like this app, but the fact that we can’t select which piece to play first limits completely your game options. You’ve been waiting for that dice and that’s what would decide if you win or lose but you have to move your piece according to the first dice in the board (unless you’re moving the piece back to the board), that’s incredibly frustrating.

The bot function put me in a loop and it faulty roles me a one every time. To send the bot back to the bar. I can’t role because of blockage. Rather than the bot finishing. It makes uncovered move to put me back on the bar. Then I role a one. It goes back on the bar. I wanted to see if it ever stopped. 90 times it repeated rather than playing out an awkward end game

I can almost guarantee a double 6 when I’m on the bar and the 6 is blocked. This has to be more than a coincidence! Also, deducting a star since they are filtering out negative reviews in the app: bad review => contact us Good review => share feedback

Suddenly I get the same error over and over which is “your session has expired” and can’t play. Shut down my phone and the same issue persists. Uninstalling next.

Feels Like Playing Against Bots – Game Feels Rigged and Unfair
I genuinely feel like I’m playing against bots rather than real people. The gameplay has become almost comical. Opponents consistently seem to roll the exact number they need at the exact moment they need it, make impossible looking comebacks from way behind, and somehow roll doubles over and over again — I’ve literally seen five doubles in a row. What makes it even more frustrating is that these same players will aggressively double the stakes, and then suddenly get an unbelievable string of perfect rolls. It creates the impression that the game is designed to drain you of your coins so that you’ll have to purchase more. I understand that backgammon involves luck and improbable rolls happen, but when the same patterns repeat game after game, it stops feeling random or credible. At this point, the experience feels completely manipulated and takes all the fun out of playing. It’s an absolute joke.
Good except wifi
A good game but it is very frustrating when a game times out simply because the wifi signal drops out. It drops out in areas of the house that Spotify and all other streaming services have no problem. It doesn’t seem to be able to reconnect quickly enough so the game just times out. Be good if they could fix the issue.
Predictable Dice
There’s an algorithm to this game. I can usually tell in the first 3 dice rolls who is going to win the game. There’s never a “come back” moment; if your checker is captured later in the game you’re not going to win.
