What an unbelievable game!
What an impersonal game this is. No way to interact with other players. No way to see if the opponent has any decent stats. I only play at the 200 level, never, or rarely double. I win every week race because I am playing low levels and simply giving away points as gifts to lower ability players. The Dice algorithm is a joke. Thinking of creating some YouTube videos about how screwed up this app is Have a nice day. Note how the reviews are not at all recent. Says something about how poor things are here
What supposed an enjoyable game is a source of stress rather than entertainment.
This game feels designed to manipulate players rather than provide a fair gaming experience. In my experience, the matchmaking and game outcomes often seem intended to pressure players into spending money. After winning for a while, I repeatedly encountered long losing streaks that appeared unnatural. The game became more frustrating than enjoyable and created unnecessary stress. I understand that losing is part of backgammon, but the overall experience made me feel that monetization was prioritized over fair play. I cannot recommend this game to anyone looking for a relaxing and fair backgammon experience, many many games are best than this one.

Design & speed are really good, it’s kind of fun BUT dices are not random at all… at all…. Compare with “Backgommon Galaxy” and you will find out the difference

The DOUBLE button is too close to the ROLL BUTTON :( I have accidentally touched the double button several times when all I really wanted to do was roll :(
Unbelievable amount of ads
Good game! But Please make paid version of this game. Too many annoying ads. And it’s ok to watch ads at the beginning of the game but not good to see them after the game as you can even play the same person again. Thank you

ATTENTION LORD OF THE BOARD PLAYERS If you have experienced the same pattern I have—building up your coins, then suddenly getting hit with repeated improbable losses, opponents getting the exact rolls they need over and over, doubles at suspiciously perfect moments, and your balance being drained until the game starts pushing you to buy more coins—start documenting everything. I am experiencing the exact same thing that many other players have described in reviews for years. This is not about being angry over losing a game. This is about a repeatable pattern that deserves independent scrutiny. Beach Bum states that its dice are random and unrelated to player data. If that is true, then there should be no problem with a truly independent audit examining the entire gameplay system, including: * dice delivery during actual games * bots/computer opponents * matchmaking * coin balances * wager sizes * winning and losing streaks * purchase history * whether refusing to buy coins changes anything * whether outcomes differ before and after coin purchases If you believe you are experiencing this, DO NOT just delete the app. Save screenshots. Screen-record games. Keep purchase receipts. Record your coin balance. Track suspicious doubles and “miracle” rolls. Note what happens when your balance gets high or low. Note whether you purchased coins or refused to purchase them. The more players who preserve evidence, the harder it becomes to dismiss this as a few angry customers having bad luck. If enough players independently document the same statistically measurable pattern, the evidence can be reviewed by consumer-protection attorneys and experts to determine whether further legal action—including possible class-action litigation—is warranted. Beach Bum / Voodoo: players are comparing notes now. If Lord of the Board is completely fair, transparent and genuinely random, then an independent audit of the full system should prove it. Until then, players have every right to ask questions. Anyone experiencing the same pattern: document it, save it, and speak up.
Bad redesign 2026
The Layout has changed an the buttons were relocated . Now you hit double by accident because the button is where the OK button was earlier!
New update hurts my eyes
I dont want lights flashing into my eyes every time I can’t move or get hit. New update is horrible, and the number of ads you have to click to start keeps getting worse.

WORST CHEAT EVER!
Sure wish I could give it zero stars. This has to be the biggest con game in town! When you read the reviews be sure to sort by most recent. Nobody gives this garbage heap good ratings now. Most of the time you don’t even play against real players. Just bots that roll exactly what they need to put you out of the game. Right before they do though they entice you to double so they can take twice the booty from you. How Apple has it ranked so high is a mystery to me. I guess their ranking system is as rigged as this game. If you’re looking to play a real game of backgammon look elsewhere. If you’re doing a school project on scams and enticement for profit then by all means, download and study to see what a real life scam looks like. Hard to believe Apple would allow this trash in their App Store. I guess someone’s making some money at the expense of honesty and fair play.

Loaded dice
It would be far nicer if the game wasn’t so loaded. The dice seem to be far from random - they almost always somehow include such type of punishment or reward model into the outcomes. PLEASE FIX THIS.
Seems odds are stacked
I quite enjoy the game, but odds definitely appear stacked against you. From starting first (2 in 10) to opposition scoring multiple doubles coming off the board. My luck on the dice has never been so bad. Playing bots? 🤷♂️
Game
Love the game. Been playing for a long time. But occasionally like today it didn’t mark that I completed the task and give me the prize. I’m still trying to complete it but I’m not able to. Get one 1 gammon on a table with 1 or more stars. Ugh! But I keep at it.

When you asked to double and I except it ends the game by letting me lose. I love this game I’ve been playing for years, I hope you can fix this problem.
Rigged
Do not spend your money on this game. It is designed to make you lose it. No matter how good you are no matter how bad your opponent is you will lose. It goes in cycles about every other day you go on a winning streak and then you go on a losing streak and the losing streak is always to the point that you lose all your money. In case in point. I had the board covered his only roll getting out was sixes. He rolled double sixes followed by double fives followed by double fives to win the game. The same role has happened to me probably half a dozen times in the last three months. It’s fun and frustrating. I just wish they would make it fair -
Too many distractions
I mean, the app itself is fine. I like the game and it does the trick for me when I have no one irl available to play with me. It’s just that I just want to play. I don’t want to win prizes, I don’t want to spin the wheel, I don’t care about the coins etc etc. there’s too many of those without an option to close them. I just want to play. It’s annoying to open the game and have to go through a million prize wheels and what not

Crooked to the core
Don’t expect an honest game here. I have around 125K thousand games played and have NEVER got ahead. I find it rare to win 3 games in a row while consistently losing 9/10. Expect the worst possible roll while your opponent will get the perfect roll every time. Your opponent will get about 10x more doubles. I can have my opponent on the wall with 5/6 numbers covered and they WILL roll doubles of the open number. This is how a typical game goes here. Bottom line, except the worst roll every time while your opponent gets that one best roll virtually EVERY TIME!

What has happened
I was enjoying playing this game but recently ads have started after every game… frustrating on two counts. You lose your flow of play and also the ads are noisy so it disturbs people.

This Game is Fixed don’t waste your money
No matter where I move on the board my opponent gets the number necessary to send my blot to the restart. It is so fixed.

Playing for years . Never seen so many roles that favor the aopponent when needed double 5’s 6’s whatever is needed. They say luck of dice, been playing too long to know better.. great platform too bad. Looking for a fair place too play. Agreed to bad interface is great but totally bs. Post-game adverts a pain!
The gameplay is superb, however the long ‘interactive’ advert immediately after every game makes me swipe the app closed rather than stick around for a rematch. I used to enjoy repeated games with the same person, now I just play one and go do something else. A shame.

No to new graphics!
What the heck are these new graphics? How horrible! I want to play backgammon not arcade games! I have deleted the app from my phone after many years but these new graphics are just way too horrible.

After every game, it disconnects to show you advertising. Should you watch the relentless adverts and return to the game, the sound ceases to work and you are left to continue in silence. This game is fixed. You’ll note that the dice roll is not random but fixed. The odds are stacked against you and designed for you to make purchases.
Good app if you can handle pop ups even on the paid version
The game play is great. It’s fast, efficient and well set up. I bought the add free upgrade and there is still a tonne of pop ups. I would have been willing to paid way more to have stripped down version where I can just play the game with no distractions. I will continue to play it until I find a better one cause it sure is annoying.
