There is always many glitches when I use one note on an Apple product, having problems now, sync problems, notes showing up on one Apple device and not another, probably done with this pretty soon, I’ve had it!
My opinion
Good app, sometimes it lags and when I’m drawing I can’t zoom in or zoom out without it drawing itself automatically.
Conflicts
Unfortunately this app constantly creates conflicts and resolving these seems to be excruciatingly complicated.
More functions desired. Everything else good.
I wish there were more pencil options. Also there is no way to write equations like in Google Docs.
Cannot live without it!
I honestly don’t know what I did before OneNote. It is my savior - not only in my personal life but also at work. It’s great for organizing notes, brain dumps, projects, and way more. I work as a trainer at my work and anything I do and take notes about goes in my OneNote. I love that you can search for anything and it will pop right up. You can pull documents into it, pictures - literally sky is the limit. It saves automatically. I literally cannot think of 1 negative thing. I will always 1000/10 recommend OneNote!

Keeps teleporting me to a random page and not saving my work
App glitches
Love this OneNote, however the app tends to close while Im working in a notebook or if I am switching notebook pages. I then need to open it again a couples because it will glitch again and close out on me. Sometimes I need to shut off my phone and turn it back on to work again without this issue.

Updates ruin past notes
Microsoft keeps changing the app and completely messes up your past notes. Stop being “helpful” Microsoft.
The best notes app
This is by far the BEST notes app I’ve ever used. I love the seamless and immediate transfer of data between devices. I also love the fact I can screenshot and paste pics and copy links to it. I use it at night on the laptop and then my work is on my phone for easy use the next day at work. I started a new job as a counter sales rep at a large electrical supply warehouse and this app is literally my means of keeping it. Thank you to the developers it’s my favorite app I have. Period.
SHOW SCREEN PREVIEW
Another week, another update, show screen preview STILL NOT fixed. Toggle is green, it will show screen preview until the app is closed (iphone), the open it again to use the next day, and it's gone. Have to toggle it off and back on again. That shouldn't be that way, if should stay ON. Please fix.
Love this app
My go-to app for taking notes on all kind of miscellaneous ideas and things up I need to keep track of. I love being able to seamlessly share my notebooks on multiple platforms and devices: laptop, iPad, phone. I also like being able to link notes. Is it better than other apps? I don’t really know. All I can say is that it does the job for me. Major drawbacks that keep it from a 5: No back/forward navigating No support for custom styles or ability to customize built in styles - this is a big annoyance
The new update made it worse!
It was already bad before, that i had to type the date as the first part of the note so i could see the date under the title of the note. Now with the new update i cant even see the date i typed and theres no date stamp for when the note was made! Please make the create date visible without having to click on the specific note. Also when a note is long on iphone you cant scroll the text up to then tap comfortably and edit. The text stays at the bottom of the screen and you have to try to tap all the way at the bottom. Fix this so i can update my review! Also you guys should make the notes downloadable in mass with the original date on windows or mac. As of now it seems stuck to the cloud. Also if i add a photo you cant type under it only above it. Just copy apple notes and make it better!

Grade A Organizational Tool
I have been an avid user of OneNote for almost 10 years and I use it for business and personal organizational purposes. It gives me the structure of a hand written notebook but the performance of a computer!
Glitches
The app keeps glitching and not letting me write! Then I have to close it down and reopen it like two or three times before it works again
Love it, a couple of tweaks could make it even better
I love OneNote. I use it a lot. Its functionality is awesome. A couple of tweaks could make it even better. Working with tables are janky. It’d be better to wrap text, adjust columns easier, etc - like Excel. It’s also not possible to edit a pic you paste in - like crop it. Despite a couple of small tweaks - I legitimately love this app.
Sticky notes on Ipad
Sticky notes is on my Iphone, why isn’t is on my Ipad 10.9 gen 10?
Better than most BUT needs dynamic/sortable tables
This is my go to app. I’ve tried many others, and I keep coming back to this mainly because it puts all the notes in one spot allows good groupings, and is rich text. However, it lacks dynamic tables which make all the difference.
Been Consistently Using for Years
I’ve been keeping my D&D campaign information using OneNote for years now, after having tried other softwares in the past. The organization it provides you can’t find this easily anywhere else, plus its search function that lets you find words throughout all your notes. Unfortunately, using both the app version and desktop version can create merging problems. The best way I’ve found to prevent this is making sure to never have the same page open simultaneously. I also haven’t found the sticky note function useful since they added it, but maybe others might. Small gripes aside, I would absolutely recommend using OneNote for growing a complex but organized web of information.
Doesn’t sync
Doesn’t synchronize between the desktop app and iPhone version.

Maybe could do with a redesign but make it look a little nicer but it simple and works a treat.
Save doesn’t work
The font won’t keep the select deletes sometimes and the backup to other devices doesn’t link!
Poor implementation of access to photos
iOS gives developers better options than what OneNote appears to be using here. An app can present Apple’s private photo picker, where you can choose any photo at that moment without granting the app permanent access to your whole library. Many apps do exactly that. With Limited Access, an app can also provide a “Select More Photos” / “Manage Photos” button that invokes iOS’s permission screen from inside the app. OneNote apparently isn’t giving you that convenient path—or isn’t handling the modern picker correctly. So the awkward workflow you’re seeing is not an unavoidable iPhone limitation. It’s largely a OneNote behavior/design issue. One workaround worth trying is: Photos → select photo → Share → OneNote That hands the specific photo to OneNote directly and normally shouldn’t require OneNote to have general access to the photo library. Otherwise, Full Access is unfortunately the least irritating solution if you frequently insert photos into OneNote.

It’s alright
Lot of syncing issues and my images sometimes disappear permanently. I’ve tried to make my own manual backups but then I’ve not been able to load those correctly. Also, when I’m typing tom my laptop, the scroll bars start scrolling left and right and up and down. Microsoft creates mediocre products that have the potential to be great. Nothing new there. I still choose to use OneNote despite the fact it drives me insane!
Great, but…
Used this for years and always found it a great tool. Copilot has appeared along with copilot notebooks so I thought I’d give it a try, looks like it’s trying to do the same as NotebookLM. But the downside for Microsoft here is that it seems to only work if you have a business account which I don’t, and the rival version is completely free and has better functionality. Shame Microsoft, you’ve dropped the ball here.
This app is a life saver!
So many things to keep track of- at work, home, medical. OneNote provides a simple format for taking notes with an incredible search feature that lets you find random notes from years ago with a word or phrase from that content. A simple notebook format for organizing business meetings, projects, recipes, you name it. This has been my note taker for 10 years and I love it!
Copilot can go to hell
I do not want Copilot notebooks. I can think of nothing in the world I want less than Copilot notebooks. Yet there it is. Sitting at the top of the sidebar, unmoveable, unremovable. Whoever is responsible for this decision can go straight to hell.
Syncing delay
I’ve been using OneNote for couple of years now. The only problem I have with it is the delay in syncing between different devices I have.
Needs a refresh
I use it daily., the premise is good. You’ve taken away my ability to host my notebooks on my workstations and forced the active notebook to be stored in the cloud. The result is the app is clunky and slow when you’re doing any volume work with it. If you want this app to be anything more than a pretty toy, It’s time for a refresh and to fix the structure so it returns the performance. Come on Microsoft, you’re better than this.
Does fully sync between Windows and mobile versions
Mobile version functions really pared down. Functionality of Windows version does sync with the mobile version. Created Notebook on laptop which loses formatting when accessed from iPhone or doesn’t sync at all.

Plagued with issues every update; excluded older OS versions from vital bug fix
I’m a college student. I’ve been using OneNote since high school to take notes. I’ve had the same iPad since then. It worked for the most part—but I’ve had to deal with obnoxious bugs throughout my years using the app. (auto-deselecting a marker when I use my Apple Pencil to write, extremely clunky syncing making it difficult to access my notes, version differences appearing for no reason, etc.) They’ve never made the app literally unusable until now. In the past month, I discovered that the app wasn’t syncing with my laptop version of OneNote. I tried to sign in with my University Microsoft account, and it didn’t work. I just got stuck. I tried uninstalling but that didn’t fix it- instead it just locked me out of taking notes on my iPad at all. I tried installing PowerPoint as a workaround but I had to install an older version due to my iPad’s age and it has this problem too. I looked into it online and other people have been having this problem, but most people say it’s been fixed with the newest update. Here’s the problem: you pushed the recent update that caused the issue, but then you limited the update that actually *fixes* the issue to IOS 18 and above. Three months ago I could take notes just fine. Now my iPad is apparently obsolete. I don’t know if you can push updates that are compatible with older versions, but if you can, please fix this. I literally cannot use the app without it and this planned obsolescence outcome is absolutely infuriating.
No Sticky Notes on Widget?
Being able to choose to see notes or Sticky notes on the widgets would be super helpful!

iPad issues
Can’t seem to set a style (lined etc) as default when adding a new page. Handwriting to txt won’t follow lines on the page.

Does not support Chinese writing well. Gives boxed question marks on some words. Very frustrating. Was hoping to use Onenote instead of Evernote. Was disappointed because of this bug.
Universal and free
Portability and flexible containers. Just what i need. I took off one star because Microsoft is always changing this app’s storage sitting in OneDrive.and the synchronization scares me. I’m always afraid they will reduce my maximum storage capacity or miss an update.
Section deleting bug

Could be better for iPad
Please add the ability to add templates from the iPad interface. I currently have to make sure all my templates are preloaded in my pages before I bring my iPad anywhere. Also custom stickers in the ribbon bar would be nice instead of uploading new images.
Graveyard of features
Microsoft, Why are the OneNote features available on a PC not available on iOS or the Web or android? You have all our data stored in the Microsoft cloud yet synchronising tasks calendars and viewing live documents is a missing feature. We should be able to embed live Word Excel and PowerPoint document documents into a OneNote page with these automatically updated when the stored file is changed. We should be able to select and copy text from a PDF in the iOS and android app yet this functionality is missing. All round review this poor
