Changed the app and it’s so bad to use now
Love it, but….
Love the app. Always my go to app when looking for a new car. Love the search criteria but there are certain car brands I will not buy. It would be good if you could ‘exclude’ brands in the same way you can exclude class S and N vehicles.
App update ruined it
Used to be a great app, easy to use and functional. But since the major update it’s clunky, harder to use with more menus and bugs constantly. You’ll put in details for a search and it loses them over and over. Whoever was responsible for this should find a new job because you’ve taken an easy to use app and made it worse in every way and still went ahead with update. Nice job buddy.
Can’t copy and paste….
Decent app but not being able to copy and paste car keys makes them a pain to research so I’ve gone back to the website

One thing seriously frustrates me about this app. *take note dev team… When you select make then model. When you back out to the model list again, it starts the model list right at the top!!! Why???!! Just have it hold from the model select. Eg - Do you even realise how many iterations of 911s there are?! It’s like wheel of fortune spinning all the way back down to the model select
Good app
It would be cool to be able to select multiple brands and models at once when searching for cars. Also, regarding EVs, some of your range figures aren’t really real. Please refer to the EV-database website which gives the most accurate range for each EV (and driving condition). Similarly please allow to filter for battery sizes instead of “battery range” which is way too dependent on driving conditions and style.
Maximum annoying
As time passes this app becomes more and more bloated with rubbish "features". Tonight I can't send an enquiry -- the one thing I do need. Then there's the 5k price ceiling (for example) and you get ads for a 12k car. Come on AT concentrate on the basics and do it perfectly
The new app update
Omg … why ? After the update the app went back 10 years ? Whyy ? It was soo nice before everything was easy and just perfect to find what you looking for . And now its awful … its soo bad i feel frustrated until i find what im looking for and im just going out if the app . It wasn’t necessary - whoever did this to the app ot ruined it .

Updates
This app has rapidly gone from one of my favourites, to the worst, not sure why they changed it, I’m finding myself having to full shut down the app just to get the list of makes and models to reset.
Poor filtering
Frustrating limitation with the filters. You can’t select more than one model variant at a time, which makes searching far more time consuming than it needs to be. Same issue with car models themselves, if you want to compare something like a BMW 3 Series and 5 Series in one search, you simply can’t. Carsales in Australia handles this properly, letting you select multiples across all filters. Honestly, in this day and age it’s surprising Autotrader hasn’t already built this in, or can’t update to work this way.

Great app but when looking at electric cars you need to add a battery health filter to all used cars to see the percentage.

Can’t search for the car I’m looking for just the ones you have on your lists But if I scroll they are there
New search feature is awful
Recently a change to the way you search vehicles rolled out, and my experience has not been good. When searching for vehicles and inputting your make and model it takes a good second to load whereas on the old one it was instant, that way when I press search it loads my search with 0 filters and displays all cars that are listed. Also it is much slower in general to select brands and specific filters as you don’t have a side bar with the first letters/alphabet to choose brands quickly. A search bar replaced this in which is much slower than just choosing the first letters of the brand.

Do not update your Autotrader
The new app they have updated is horrible to use, the old Style was so much easier and made more sense the new way is so much more complicated it’s like they have gone backwards. Very so difficult to use, used to love using the app to search for cars. If you read this please do not update your app and please go back to the old style.

Ruined a perfectly good app
This app USED TO BE perfect! Efficiently able to search for cars with precise filters or broad categories, with as few clicks as necessary. Now since the recent update you’ve ruined search. You’ve but every filter behind a weird top level grouping where I now have to click through multiple filter groups to find the search filter I’m looking for. Now takes twice as long to search then it used to, and NO additional features were added in exchange for this. The ens**tification of everything continues.
