Nice app BUT
Good app and convenient to have although there’s one issue, every time you close the app if logs you out. It would be good to have a feature that keeps you signed in. For example most things have a “Remember Me” option that’ll keep you signed in when you revisit
Nothing fixed? New version, same issues.
v7.4.7 continues the v7.4.x release tradition of buggy and unusable enforced date/time picker for voucher entry, and no numeric keyboard alternative. The big bug is that you simply cannot interact with the hour “dial” - for some reason a touch there moves the minutes instead, and touching the minutes moves the seconds. There seems to have been some half-fix to the visibility issue in that the bug occurs when you were using a different entry box (press return/done to dismiss the keyboard). The website uses what seems to be a similar version, which is painful to try and use but at least you can scroll around. And still no sign of the QR code voucher scanner referred to on the vouchers themselves. Prices in the results list view get split up and covered by the basket button, although the similar “favourites” list doesn’t suffer this issue? Search still fails to return results, but with persistence (tap back and try again 3-4 times) it can be coaxed into action. And the app overall is jerky and unpredictable: try to scroll a list of results, and the first couple suddenly jump off the top of the screen. Scroll slightly back, and they’re off the bottom instead. Try to return to a list from looking at a product, and it’ll have jumped back to the top of the results. To apply a filter; you’ll have to tap the “See all x results” button twice. And the X/close doesn’t cancel the filter change but applies it anyway. Attempting to “browse” instead of search often doesn’t work, because subcategories return a “sorry we couldn’t find “Blu-Ray 4K” etc message in a similar way to the search (just re-try several times and it’ll give in!)

Since the update, I can’t log in as the Cloudflare verification keeps resetting everytime you click log in and stops you progressing to the next page.
Helpful but delayed
So the app I great when it comes to trying to find games, phones or whatever products that you’re looking for as it has real time stock numbers and locations of where it is. The only thing I have an issue with is that the alerts I have set up for products out of stock I won’t get emailed about it till many hours later and by that time someone has already bought it. Another thing is it keeps logging me out everytime I close the app so I have to sign back in which is really annoying…. Apart from those 2 issues the app is amazing
No way to turn off notifications?
The app is basically just the website, except it repeatedly sends you random marketing notifications for stuff that’s completely irrelevant and they’re very annoying.
Movies dvd Blu-ray
It need subtitles on. I need watch movies with English subtitles. It don’t have show. Bec I want pay movies with subtitles or no available.
Finally fixed
So I gave a one star review a few weeks ago and Eric from CEX reached out to me to see if he could resolve the problems I had with the app. This latest update has fixed both problems so gotta give it 5 stars now as it’s working perfectly for me now.
The latest app is unusable garbage
The barcode scanner is pretty much useless now, only finding the product maybe 20% of the time. The manual search is even worse, I typed “Resident Evil” and it couldn’t find anything! 🤦🏻♂️ Seriously, this app is beyond broken.

Very limited
I like the CEX shop, it’s a good service, and the website is fine. The app for some reason won’t let me browse by store or by section. Fairly basic functionality that seems to be missing. I have to use the website if I want to do anything.

Can’t login
App updated now I cannot login. If it does let me login at some point I can’t buy anything because I just get a red box stating ‘there was a problem please try again later’. Very frustrating app, every time there is an update it seems to get worse. The original app was the best, shame we can’t go back to how it was.
Filter based on shop
It would be very helpful if there is an option to filter products based on availability at a specific store.
Search is broken
Annoyingly, search is broken. If I search for anything in app, it returns no results. If I search for the same thing in my browser, it returns results. It can be something as simple as “iPad”. Not being able to search makes the app pretty much useless. I don’t understand how this can be possible. Shouldn’t the search APIs be the same across platforms?
No iPad app so marked down
It’s ok but no iPad app so on the phone it’s all a bit small. Minimum effort to reformat for iPad so how about it?

It’s an amazing place to get a new game and if anything I’ve been waiting for awhile to get a new console to be honest it’s the best place you can get your consoles from

What’s going on with the search function?
Use to be easy enough to search and find a product, now the search function barely works, when searching for a monitor, random items come up instead, tried multiple different words, then thought maybe I’ll just go to the categories and look at all the monitors and filter through those, none show us, as if there’s none in stock? You may have something in stock that I’d like to purchase but no good if I can’t even see what stock is available!
The app straight up didnt work edit: it worked after using data
Every single item i tried to look at showed up with no data available and nothing i tried to do fixed it which is sad because i really like cex Edit: nvm i just had to use data for some reason it didnt work with the wifi but worked fine with data

No longer lets me login
Since the last update the app has logged me out and will no longer let me log back in, claiming my email address is “invalid“. So I now have to use the website which doesn’t have the same problem.

Wii Disc Is Scratched Up
I’ve gotten Wii Sports Resort from CeX today and I tested it out and it couldn’t read the disc. The disc was scratched up and the case was a bit dirty. I had to go to CeX two times today in fact 'cause I tried to get it but I couldn’t remember my Revolut PIN so I went out for a bit then I remembered my PIN and then I went back and got the game. I tried everything to clean the disc but it didn’t work. I don’t hate CeX though; it’s my favourite second-hand electronic shop. Some of the games are in good quality but some of them are in bad quality. They also use stock photos and sometimes a little red spaceship for rarer games. Please use the real photo of what it looks like.
Few things are at same price as new.

I can’t buy stuff 🤷♂️ .. read on. Back in the day I had a CEX instore account. Still do, still use it. Then I bought something online and had to create a CEX online account. Still do, still used it .. til recently. Then CEX said go into a store and unify the accounts. I did and both accounts appeared in the app. No problem. Except recently, if I add something to my basket I get two of them. Literally two identical basket entries not ‘quantity 2 ‘. If I delete one, they both disappear 😱.. so I can’t buy anything online without buying two. Nice one CEX, 😂so if you ever wonder why I don’t buy stuff from you online any more .. that’s why. I can’t. I don’t want two. It’s nothing personal.

It takes too long to remove something from your basket, and the X on the search bar doesn’t work, so you have to manually re do. Overall definitely needs work.
No "Shop By" option in the app.
There is no "Shop by" option in my Cex app. Don't know why? It was there before, but not available since the past few weeks. I have manually search everything.

A very responsiveness app. The UI is very easy to use and navigate. The products as exactly as mentioned here and tally with the offline stores as well. I regularly purchase products and haven’t found any issues with their products, delivery or policies. A must have always downloaded app. Kudos!
Worst update ever
In this update we can't search accessories or headphones store wise, as a tech enthusiast I want to search all accessories or headphones out of which i buy the desired product. Now the option is not there. I am a regular customer. Please bring back features

Sold my Camera Gear
As an ex wedding photographer when I retired I had lots of camera gear to dispose of, selling to CeX through the App was easy and stress free. The guys in the Wakefield shop were pleasant and professional and the prices paid were fair and consistent. The money was paid into my account within 2 hours. Would definitely use again.
Why sell broken games?
My brother recently bought me three games from CeX through the app, out of the three two of them were unrecognisable according to my PlayStation 5, i turn them around and what do I see, scratches fingerprints and edges cracked off. I don’t get it, this company has to get sued or something man this is unbelievable

New updates rubbish
I used to use this app all the time but the new search bar is absolutely horrible, just makes random words while you are typing then won’t let you put what you want to search in Bring back the old version
