Best Aussie investment app
I’ve tried & tested many investment apps & platforms & can say without a doubt that this app is the best. Signing up / Onboarding was easy. Buying, selling, depositing & withdrawing all easy. It’s very clean & easy to use & navigate. & they have fractional shares & no brokerage fees. Hard to see how they could improve other than to potentially add foreign exchanges. I’m gradually moving all my Aussie stocks & ETFs to Betashares. They also have their own funds & ETF’s with good performance & I am adding several to my portfolio. It’s apps like these that have helped democratise investing for everyone & not just the top end of town.
Hefty OTHER FEES Charged
No brokerage but hefty OTHER FEES charged quarterly! I got slapped with nearly $2k Quarterly Other Fees!! And emails sent to Customer Service ends up in the black hole with no reply! I’ll switch to another broker!!
Very good
Very good app but the loading speed for top ups needs to be improved because you need to wait about 10 mins for it to load. DEVS PLEASE FIX THIS

IT team really need to improve,the app is full of bugs.
Good but …
This app is attractive but on an iPad in landscape mode the menu hamburger disappears which severely limits its functionality. If you switch to portrait the menu reappears. Should be an easy fix.

Not trust worthy
Seems scammy, you have to do the ID verification several times, I understand needing to verify ID, but submitting a photo of my passport directly on an email sounds so dodgy, I’d be careful with this
Request feature
Could you please add a Daily Portfolio $/% change on the Home Screen along with the total return data? I have requested this feature already but no response
Lag in scrolling search page
I just downloaded the app and created my account. The app overall is good with clean UI but i have the lag while scrolling on the search page.
Needs a landscape option
On an iPad it has limited functionality compared to the browser website.. it needs a landscape option for iPad.
Perfection
The perfect app for individual investors. Perfect to run a core and satellite. Perfect to operate different portfolios for different goals.
Update needed
Since the recent update the app is not working, home page loads but it’s randomly pulse vibrating and I can’t click on anything

Terrible singing up experience
Hi team, I not sure whether your testing team has tested the signing up process using the app because it’s really terrible. I tried to sign up with my email but the app kept popping up session expired error which doesn’t make sense as the total process took less than 30 seconds. Tried to reopen the app but the screen stuck on the login page even though I have received an email saying new login detected. Please fix this and add automated testing in your pipeline if possible.

The update in Feb 2026 is hanging the app up. The home screen freezes.
Perfect for first timers
First time investor who is learning by doing. It takes a lot for me to write a Google review so this app is special. The whole process is so easy and just a breeze. Explains everything throughout the process. Best features for me so far are recurring investments and reinvestments. 5 stars all the way.
Can’t even open the app after the latest update
It was all good before until I did the latest update, now the app can’t even open after passkey approved, please fix this issue ASAP. I need to do trading at this time
Easy use but needs a bit more
Great investing app, simple to use. But in comparison to other micro investing apps lacks a little bit of information. I like a simple breakdown of how many units I hold, without having to click into each ETF. The managed portfolios are the same, I can see the cost value of ETF, but not units. I would also love an overview on home screen without having to log in. Just little things like that, otherwise very ease to use and quick to deposit funds and make purchases.
Disappointing
Lots of glitches, not enough updates and bug fixes.
It’s ok
It’s ok but not great. For the amount of money people invest there should be more options to customise. If I go to holdings and set it to display percentage of portfolio highest to lowest it should save that, but instead I have to change it every time. Also the appearance option kicks you out of the app every time you click on it
Simple, Beautiful Investing app
BetaShares Direct is honestly one of the best investing apps I’ve used. Everything feels simple, clean, and easy to understand, which makes investing feel a lot less complicated. The UI is beautiful, modern, and laid out in a way that actually makes sense, especially for someone focused on long-term ETF investing. The app gives you tonnes of useful information without making it feel overwhelming. You can see your holdings, performance, distributions, and investment details clearly, which makes it easier to stay consistent and understand what your money is doing. It feels like an app designed to help you build wealth properly, not just throw money into something without knowing what’s going on. I also really like the direction BetaShares seems to be heading with extra features and smarter tools. I’d love to see more genuinely useful AI features added in the future — not AI slop, but proper information that helps investors understand their portfolio, ETF exposure, performance, distributions, and long-term strategy. The app is already amazing and super simple to use. Even though it can be somewhat glitchy at times and still needs a few improvements, more features, and some extra polish, it’s clear they’re actively building something really strong. Overall, I love BetaShares Direct and think it’s a beautiful, practical, and genuinely useful investing platform.

App goes around in circles when trying to login. Not sure how anyone are able to provide any feedback.
Useless App
Love trading through app, but in the last update the screen freezes! Uninstalling and reinstalling only temporary fix. Do better Betashares

You’ve cooked it
App was solid and simple to use but with the latest update you’ve tried to do too much and cooked it. Should never have shipped. Basically useless now.
Latest version not as clean as previous version
Latest update is not as good as previous version. Customise doesn’t let me add or remove sections.
I’m loving the app
I’m really enjoying Betashares Direct! The simplicity of investing and no brokerage. The app is simple, easy to navigate, clean interface and easy to invest. Tells me what I need without all the other stuff for simple long term investing. I really like having my dividends and distributions reinvested no matter the amount without it sitting in someone else’s account waiting till you can buy a full share. I rarely have issues and the apps always improving as new releases come out. Highly recommend company to invest through!
No good this morning
Screens don’t load like there’s a network or other resources issue. Unusable in current state.

The bug has not been fixed for long time and the data is not up to date, bad experience on app
Best app for investing
The flexibility and options to invest are insane, theres no other app/service like it. Custom portfolios and partner portfolios make Betashares my preferred option as a passive investor. the auto invest feature is also the best out of any other app ive seen. highly recommended

Recent update is painfully unresponsive
Please bring back the old version immediately, the new update is unusable. Sorry I loved your app and so don’t want to put in a bad review, but I had to do it so you can fix it quick or atleast revert to old app until a fix is tested.
