The app is really easy to use. You can find all the information easily.
Poor user experience and customer support
Glitched out trying to make account when I closed the pop up window to open email verification. Can’t use my email to make account anymore. Phone support completely unhelpful.
Good app, made a lot quicker in recent update
Good things - app is streamlined, simple to use, simple to see information about my portfolio Bad things - notifications just don’t work, never have done Things I’d love to see - ability to group holdings in the same way you can set a watch list of stocks. For example be able to group my holdings into my core portfolio and my satellite. Get this functionality and fix the notification issues and this is easily a 5 star app and the best I’ve ever used for investing.
Keeps logging out
The app should be able to recognise people on the move, randomly logs out even when in the middle of a transaction Inconsistency between the mobile and desktop.
Careless taps cannot be undone
The app is very good for a brokerage account however it’s now ridiculously easy to change the average price of a holding - just two inadvertent taps, on a very crowded screen, in the same spot and your average price is irrevocably changed. The action cannot be reversed. Sure, users ‘should’ be more careful, but it’s a terrible implementation!

Hopeless! I’m sick of these updates that require user to purchase a new device because it requires the latest operating system. I can’t access my account now, based on my perfectly working device being too old and unable to update to the latest. Just a commercial rip off - throw away old device, purchase new one, then for how long will that work? I can still access my banks fine and most everything else, just this one app. Now what?

When scrolling down - Portfolio view resets to top of page. Very frustrating to use. (Occurs on ipad in either landscape or portrait mode. Using latest version of CMC app)
VERY GOOD!
Since I started investing with this app, I lost interest in all other platforms . It works SO intuitively easy. No complicated graphs interfering the essentials. I suggest this platform to every one I meet, interested in investing. Also, when I detected an error in the program, the Australian help desk sorted me out in an instant. Very reassuring!
Absolute garbage! Needs desktop to get anything of any use done
Couldn’t set up an account to move funds to, the ANZ account to give you is basically a fake one that doesn’t do anything and the details they gave are wrong as well. You can’t log into that account to move your money out. You have to set up another account with cmc and you can’t do that on the app you have to go to the desktop version. Or you have to use a mobile browser. The account set up can take up to 2 business days to work. That means if you try it on Friday you won’t have your money till Monday. Any money you put in accidentally that you want to move cannot be moved until it is ‘cleared’ which again can take more than 2 business days. It’s literally like being stuck in the past… I really don’t see the point of this app. Their phone helpline doesn’t run 24/7 either. It only runs from 7:30 am Sydney time. What is the point of having an app then?!
Time out annoying
The app is good for checking prices on the go and if you are quick and already know exactly what you need to trade, but i have been timed out in the middle of trying to initiate a trade multiple times which is so annoying. Also sucks that you can’t see options on the app.
Fix MFA please

Don’t break what’s not broken
Have just started investing recently and the CMC app was great until they broke it with MFA. It’s gotten to the point where functions don’t work when I’m trying to trade. I’m trying to amend an open order and it asks for the trading pin (which is normal). But there is no screen to enter in the trading pin and now I’m unable to amend the order on the app. I’m considering moving to a new platform if the basic necessity’s don’t even work Update: thank you for reading my review and the update. 2FA annoying
Having to log in via 2FA every single time is incredibly annoying, even on my main device. Should be max once per day.
User interface
When searching on a stock using Ticker symbol, it usually take a few tries to be able to get it to appear on the search. Best way is to type slower so that the system can register… Pls work on the search system.

Unable to access account !!
My iPad 5th generation and ,iPhone 11 are unable to download IOS 17 so how can I still get to my account ??
Problems with 4.27
Using App on 10.5” iPad with iPadOS 17.7.10. This App was working OK until a few days ago. Since using it on 11, 12 May, when I first log in and select Portfolio: the Summary tab displays a only a limited list of items where there has been a ‘day gain’ Both the Holdings tab and the Profit and Loss tab display the message ‘Your holdings will appear here, Start building your portfolio now. PLACE A BUY ORDER’. So far I have eventually managed to access my full portfolio info by further logging out and logging in again - not good. Also had an issue with an amendment where it said my trading pin was invalid although I had used the same pin not long before and I got stuck at that point. Had to log out and start again to complete the amendment - also not good.
Interface cons
Can’t track my deposits and withdrawals. Don’t show my history and performance. Feels like hiding something. Not that transparent. Purges my order but don’t refund immediately. Takes few days. Non sense

The app is shocking. There is only basic functionality and you can’t even hide your balance.
It’s easy to use and reliable
A good secure app that just works. Easy to navigate your way around and shows what I need. I can trade from the app easily.
Bad set up
Everything is so hard to find and navigate around, if you’re wanting to transfer money back from your investing account….. good luck on the mobile app. Big thumbs down from me
Keeps asking for MFA code every time
Great app but as the title says, it asks for MFA every time I open the app, wasn’t like this before. Any ideas on how to fix? Cheers!

I have to complete MFA every time I use the app, even two minutes after switching apps. Also, the mobile charts need more functionality, such as two-finger price comparison.

Can’t even get in
They updated yesterday and I could get in this morning but as soon as market opened couldn’t even access portfolio. This isn’t the first time. Why can’t they get it right?

I was overseas and the app said there's an update available and it didn’t allow me to use the app until I updated it. The problem was the app was geo-locked and the app store of the country I was in didn't have the app. So I was unable to use the app until I was back in my home country. Such a dumb restriction.

I trade the US markets and have used tiger moomoo webull (these 3 are the best), and more. This app really cmi. Cons: Holdings/total value are shown in SGD only, except for prices and when I execute my order. Cannot see initial buy price/avg price of holdings Profit and loss doesn’t work Market data/updating of prices are bad compared to the other brokers Oversimplified Pros: tradingview integration though i dont need it Orders are sent to email
