What people like
- Interface is clean and easy to navigate
- Great for beginners feeling safe investing
- New updates made it feel modern
- Super and investments managed in one spot
What they complain about
- Selling costs hide behind zero brokerage claims
- Support is slow and unhelpful
- App feels buggy and clunky often
- Minimum investment amount is too high for some
Easy to use
Great app. Easy to use
Terrible update unable to log in
The vanguard app is nothing close to good when compared to other banks or financial institutions but the new update is a cherry on that cake. It won’t let me log in nor reset my password.
Good but can be improved
Love the app. A pin or Face ID log in would be very helpful
Small problem
When I go to the invest page, input in an amount but the numerical keyboard obscures the “buy” button so I can’t invest my money!
Good app however the ‘For You’ section needs to go
Overall the app is good, and the current development is long overdue however the ‘For You’ section is just an advertisement and has no place in finance app.
Good
Very good
Verification
You need to get your id verified at a authorised shop what a joke I’ve never had ti do this with other investment apps
Finally with the times !
Massive improvements, user interaction is friendly. Way better than before .
Passkey
Ok app, fairly basic but functional, but really needs either Passkey integration or at the very least 2FA via an Authenticator app as opposed to SMS only
Easy to use and manage
Love it, makes investing and managing portfolios all in one location super easy. Highly recommend for users new to the investing world.
Still quite disappointing
The app is in a lot better place than it was two years ago, however there is still basic functionality that doesn’t work, creates user frustration and just feels clunky and buggy. App notifications are desperately needed but aren’t an option - despite the fact that there are notification settings in the app.
Love this update!
I’m really happy with the new app and the renewed focus on helping users better understand performance. Once widget support is added, it’ll definitely be a 5-star experience for me.
Transaction History Doesn’t Work
It’s buggy. You can see the calendar filter twice. And it doesn’t filter currently.
Clean, easy and very user friendly
As my title says, this app is great, they have hit the nail on the head! It’s easy to navigate and shows you everything you need to know immediately in a clean and easy way.
Such a bad experience with this app
It’s consistently buggy do better
Pretty good app
Nice UI and interface I don’t get the hate for this app? It doesn’t lag and it’s easy to use. Sure the PC version is easier to use but that is with all things.
Updates are great but they haven’t made their way to the kids investment accounts
Thanks for bringing many much needed updates to the app - they are good. BUT the kids investor part of the app seems to have missed out. You can’t see returns on the chart for time frames beyond 1 year (other than ‘all time’), you can’t see a breakdown of what your kid is invested in (which would be great for financially educating your kids). Can all the features be added to the kids accounts please?
User Friendly and feels safe
I invested for the first time with the Vanguard app and was terrified of making a mistake. The app is well organised, the explanations of the products simple and clear and all very intuitive to navigate. It’s very well done and felt safe to take the plunge and invest for the first time ever!
Auto Invest Feature Sucks
I hate the minimum $200 auto invest amount. I want to invest $25 a week automatically debited. Spaceship and Raiz allow that. Wished Vanguard would keep up
Is this required?
It seems so. Recommended A+++
Disappointing customer service
Appalling customer service, lack of communication and absence of genuine communication with their customers
Easy to use
Easy yo use and responsive
Always pending
do this, pending, do that, pending, pending before doing anything. last century platform
Loving the refreshed app
Haven’t logged in for a while, the new app feels modern and fresh. Everything I need to do is there. Dark mode is cool too!
under maintenance
Half of the time this app prompt “try later”. And so many times it’s under maintenance
Great new features
Loving the latest app update. The new features make managing my super and investments feel faster, cleaner, and much easier to navigate!
Missing Money
I have had no issues with Vanguard to date however my daughter had all her investments disappear and a request through Vanguard to verify her identification. I assured her that Vanguard would show her correct balance and messaged Vanguard through the application. It’s been over a week now and still no communication from vanguard through their application messaging system. It’s gotten to the point where I’m concerned about my investments through vanguard as well. Not to mention the effect it will have on my daughter’s trust of investing in future.
Improving quickly
Good to see the app improving so quickly. No passkey support still not great but am glad to see this app progressively getting better over time
Selling cost and App
The app charges $9 for each sale, and this fee is not clearly displayed. It should be written right next to the section that claims “$0 brokerage fees,” because this can mislead people into buying without realising that the selling cost can wipe out their entire profit — especially if you make small trades each week to build a portfolio. Many other apps offer similar services, like Vanguard, with low or even no selling costs. Please choose wisely before investing through Vanguard Australia.
