Valuable App
Contrary to a previous review, I have never needed to go through a difficult log in process - it is simple, via Face ID on an IPhone (no experience with Android) or a password if you must and it provides access to all Vic roads information such as car and caravan registrations and licence details, with renewal dates and history. Does what it says on the box…
Extremely user unfriendly
To access your digital licence you need a password, TfA and a Pin - just a bit over the top. I had to show identification in WA - four other customers got served while I wrestled to get this thing open including having to update the App before I could begin to access it
Could just use the website
Payments are setup with fields that prevent my phone from detecting that a creditcard payment is being requested so i have to fill the details manually like a medieval peasant. Just use the website where this isn’t an issue.
Great App
I have read reviews seeing that people are constantly being logged out! I have never had this problem and find it to be extremely user friendly, as soon as I open the app it uses face recognition ALWAYS. It’s great that I don’t have to carry my physical drivers licence around with me anymore.
Login hopeless
I put in 8 digits, capital letters and lowercase letters and numbers and specials and it still didn’t accept it.
Still no Apple Wallet support?
Please add support for Apple Wallet. It still takes too long to pull up your licence in the app. If you put it in Apple Wallet it’s available when my phone is offline and it’s far faster to pull out my license when I need it.

Easy to login with passkey. Able to see Demerit points I have. I think it’s great
Terrible developing end
I wanted my digital form of learners ID for an application, because my application was due, and they needed it for employment purposes, I have lost an amazing employment opportunity since I couldn’t view my License at all digitally and the physical license takes time to arrive. Every time I log into app, all the information can be seen, however when I try to view my digital License, it says app under maintenance. I mean come on, this is not useful at all and very disappointing. Thank you for providing me a terrible service!
Digital License Issues
For the last few weeks I have been unable to access my digital license. It just pops up with an error message stating that “Something Went Wrong” Bit ridiculous that your license cannot be accessed if there are communication issues with the server, and your local app is linked
Terrible app
This app is so poorly set up it’s difficult to navigate. It’s impossible to see if direct debits are in place. Hard to figure out where to update and confirm if the new payment details are in there. No notifications if a payment is missed for any reason. Not user friendly at all.
Always unavailable
Constantly not available, uptime metrics are horrible. This app is always being updated or upgraded, can’t show you anything, come back the next business day or come back next week. What’s the point if you are always DOWN? Uptime is CRITICAL for a utility app like this. Don’t take down the entire app just to perform some upgrades, that’s absolutely dumb. I don’t see Amazon or Kogan’s website going down because they’re performing upgrades?? Pull yer socks up, mate!
Did they even do testing??
Not showing registered vehicles, website/link to check rego hasn’t been working for 2 years. Literally lying about how to check customer number. It isn’t on the website and it certainly isn’t on the app. Service NSW absolutely trumps Vic in every aspect on their app. Take some notes from theirs ffs 😕 such a disappointing experience
Have to keep logging in and still can’t get access to app
This app has been ok however that past few days it prompts me to log in each time I open the app. I go through the process and it takes me back to the login screen where I have to do my password/pin/biometrics again and it just cycles through the process again. Terrible that it kept logging me out and now I can’t even actually log in. Checked for updates and there are none available

Forces update and login
So picture this. You get pulled over at the random bretho and because you can now use a digital license you don’t have your physical on you. You open up the app and because you haven’t used it in a while it forces you to update it or you can’t use it. Better prey for good internet. Then once you get past that you need to login again because it’s booted you since you last used it 3 months ago. Better prey you remember the password! This can be fixed by not booting people once logged in. And not forcing users to update right away. Fix that and this review magically goes to 5 stars.
Digital license not working
Can no longer view digital license as soon as I press on license I get ‘something went wrong The myVicRoads app may be unavailable at this time, this could be due to scheduled maintenance or an unexpected error. Please try again later.’ I’ve tried deleting the app, removing the digital license and adding again. Nothing has worked it has been like this for at least 2 weeks now
Can’t open
I’m unable to open on my Apple phone. Very unusual for an apple app.
Couldn’t even log in
Lost my license today and really needed to order another one. Can’t log in - even though I’ve used the app countless times in the past. Forgot my email addresses even! So here I am signing up from the start but one credential is wrong - is it my address, rego number. I don’t know because it can’t tell me. What sort of antiquated nonsense is this? The chat bot couldn’t even understand the question, help me login. Pathetic
“Upgrading page”
I have been trying to use the app to pay my rego for a couple of weeks and the registered vehicles page is still showing “we are doing upgrades”. They must be some good upgrades to take this long.
