Can’t understand why ratings is so low! Have recommended it to lots of people and they are very happy with the service.
Don’t go there
What a painful experience . We were using another service provider, who we had no problems with, however we were recommended to go to aldi for a family account which would be cheaper. The process was not user friendly from the start and don’t even get me started on the “so-called”service centre. Let me first explain, I’m not a demanding customer. But each phone call to their support centre left me infuriated. My last call with a condescending operator. Just don’t do it!!!

One little tweak please
The app works well and my coverage is great. But I’d really like to see my usage history as well as my funds balance? Currently all I see is how much data is left. It would be useful if I could see how much data I’ve used and when? I have a data only plan. Thanks 😀📲 Two years down the track & this is still unavailable, why?

I can’t find anywhere on the app how much data I’m using daily. I have the $95 yearly plan. I need to know how much is being used per day. I have a main phone with a different provider and I can see how much is being used on a daily basis. Does the ALDI Mobile app not support this application?
FORCED app updates.
So. I’ve been with Aldi mobile for at least 7/8 yrs now. I have two accounts, personal and work number. I rarely have big drop outs and generally am pretty happy with the service. My biggest gripes are IF you have to contact them, overseas call centres are annoying to get through to and with. And I’ve always had a problem with how the recharge works and how it sometimes will drop you out of service for an hour or two if you auto recharge. So. I manually recharge just after midnight every month, but forgot to last night. Woke this morning and i couldn’t log into the app to recharge cos it forced an app update. But. I hadn’t recharged. So. I couldn’t access AppStore to update the app. A bit dumb don’t you think?? Do NOT force updates on something you need to actually be accessible to use the App Store!! Luckily I had their number to call and waited only ten minutes to have someone manually recharge. Yet. They didn’t apologise. Wouldn't take my feedback to pass on. And said that it may take an hour to reset. Luckily it did come back up immediately and I’ve downloaded the ugly looking new app. But geez Aldi. I don’t think you understand not everyone has another connection. I have zero other connection to update or recharge. We’ve just gone backwards a few years to when you wouldn’t let a user view the app if you were out of charge or data. Rethink the simple things before FORCING UPDATES. Otherwise. You’re usually pretty good for set and forget service with pretty reliable connections that I’ve recommended so many family and friends to.

If aldi mobile wasn’t already so good, their new app design is amazing! I love it so much, it looks so much better. 5 stars aldi.
Unbelievable
I have only had my sim which I ported across since yesterday morning. I assumed everything was fine as I had 5G, could text and make calls. Unfortunately not the case. So far (it’s been over 30hrs) I have not been able to receive calls. I have contacted and emailed Aldi mobile support multiple times. All they can do is tell me to reset my phone, take the sim out and back in, but nothing else. From what I’ve been informed, it is a porting issue that needs to be reset, but Aldi mobile can’t seem to help. Then they tell me they’ll get a technician to call me. How?? I can’t receive calls!!!! In the end I asked if it were easier to buy another sim from a different provider and just get a refund from Aldi Mobile, to which I was told, “probably yes”. I’m am flabbergasted by what I’ve had to go through, just to try and get my incoming calls working.
App is fine and service good
Amazing value and I have very few issues with signal. Can't imagine ever using all the data so really everything I need including international calls and texts for $40/month. (Second phone with Amaysim not bad at all but not as good either for service or value in my opinion. Also I prefer the ALDImobile app.)
App update feedback
Overall Aldi mobile is great value for money and generally great reception however the new app update the date of when your monthly subscription expires is now so small it’s difficult to read. This needs to be addressed and increase size asap. It’s frustrating how small the font size is compared to the rest of the information. Feels underhanded in displaying so small. Thanks

Overall amazing however really quick to lose data so I changed to the unlimited call and message option which then stopped working before and after update. This is highly frustrating. Please fix it ,thanks.
Easy to used and top up
Network with Telstra signal is good and price is better cheap others. The app easy to use.
Can’t recharge
If you run out of credit, ALDI Mobile cuts you out completely from their own portal, so recharging isn’t an option. Pretty average experience.
Fine app, service stuck in the past
The app works fine for checking your remaining data, recharging, using auto-recharge, etc. However, the ALDImobile service itself is stuck in the past, with no 5G support and no eSIM support.

🛑🛑🛑 If you’re on Apple devices, DON’T USE ALDI MOBILE!
These guys never bother to test their service on Safari web browser. If you try to recharge your service using existing credit, the recharge WILL FAIL. Nothing happens when you press the “Recharge” button. I had to use the Chrome browser on my Mac to make that darn button work. All browsers on iOS and iPadOS will fail because they all use the same underlying WebKit engine (which will NOT work). It seems like they don’t want to get paid for having a broken website that doesn’t work with Safari. 👎👎👎👎👎

This app is completely useless
This app does not provide a single piece of useful information, including any outages or service updates which explain or allow me to report that I have had no mobile data coverage for the past 3 days. There is no support services or live information of any kind.

New version a bit buggy
This new version has a lot of problems. When I recharge the app crashes. I got an sms notification that the recharge worked but now that number didn’t show in my account, it disappeared. After a while it did return. Very disappointing when they restyle an app for no good reason and then trash the usability and reliability of it! Hopefully this will get fixed.
Poor App worse customer service
The app never works when you need it. Customer service/support is non existent, reception is just as bad as Optus and vodaphone in the upper mt Gravatt, 8miles plains area of Brisbane.
No TouchID; not very intuitive layout
The app keeps asking me to login. That's fine, but I wish it would use TouchID to make it easier. The layout of things in the app is also a bit confusing. I find myself searching to find different things rather than intuitively finding things quickly.
So with the prepaid SIM card
So idk if this is supposed to happen but at the start of the day I had $9 of credit I go out and scroll on YouTube shorts for less then five minutes, I get a message saying that I have three dollars of credit left and as I barely finish reading that message I get another saying all my credit is used! I’m not really sure if that’s supposed to happen so yeah. No hate though it’s a good SIM card for a starter but I was just confused by that
Putrid service
Aldi uses a very limited percentage of the Telstra service towers, too many black spots and slow performance. I changed back to Telstra and Aldi cancelled my plan before I had received my new sim leaving me stuck without internet and phone for 5 days! Offshore call center would not help. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE CHEAP PLAN!!

Not happy
It would seem that Aldi, now has an updated version of their app. My phone will not accept this new app, as it is apparently to old ? I’ve been a loyal customer to Aldi mobile for at least 8 years .. .. and now I’m nothing to them - what an absolute disgrace. I have lost my accumulated credit, I am unable to recharge - so I now either change to another carrier or buy a new phone. Not at all happy. 😡
