App is broken, still.
Take it easy is all the sonar app ever says to me. Today. “Looks like you’re primed to take it easy.” Livity: Go train. Go long today. Athlytic: Recovery 100%. Bevel: Excellent Recovery! Optimal training day.” Sonar is for people that are over 80 years old with a bad back and with two new knees and a new hip. Every last day: take it easy. Easy easy easy. Really every day take it easy! It’s been this was forever. Fix the app once and for all. Why I haven’t deleted this app is beyond me. At 67, off to do heavy deadlifts and then light squats.

An sich eine schöne App. Aber das die Watch App sich nicht aktualisiert solange ich die App auf dem iPhone nicht öffne macht sie recht Nutzlos.
Good , but
This app has potential however it locks features that cheaper apps have. Under the notification section of this app you will see “Health Alerts coming soon”. “Daily Goals coming soon”. Target Exertion alert coming soon”. How soon is soon? Seems to be an easy feature to already have active.
Highly Recommend
I’ve been using Sonar for about two years now. I had posted on a social media site asking for recommendations on tracking app for my Apple Watch because I hate how all my stats were scattered across different apps and was recommended Sonar. It’s been exactly what I was looking for to be able to see all my stats in one place and at a quick glance. Customer service is also amazing, I was recently getting an error message when trying to review my previous days stats, I reached out to support who responded in only a couple hours and have been giving me updates throughout the day.
Expensive and Begging
This is ridiculously expensive. If you don’t pay you get interrupted with a begging screen when you do almost anything. Icky. A bad experience or a stupid price: you choose.

Great bones, needs a UI overhaul
Really like what’s there but it needs a significant UI overhaul. The photos in the background are distracting, too many taps to get where I need. Would like to see more AI where it scans my data and lets me ask questions.
Great app
Provides all the tracking data I need. Gets it from multiple sources. Had a question about some data and I received very helpful feedback and guidance quickly. Much better than the default Apple apps and on par with the WHOOP app I have been using.
It’s not free
It asks you to sign up and then offers 1 month free only if you add your credit card. Please why try and fool people. Now I’ve deleted the app but I’m still going to get spam email from you. Grrrrrrrre
Beautifully presented health app but paywall has gone up so I am culling
I actually love the presentation and range of health and fitness metrics in this app. Presentation is clean and uniquely beautiful to navigate compared to its competitors. However the long term comparisons are now behind a paywall so I am ditching the app. I can only afford so many subscriptions and am already tied to two other health and fitness apps.
Inferior App
Data is inaccurate and features are inferior to that of competitors such as Bevel. Regret buying a year subscription
Poor Apple Health integration
I really wanted to like this app, but it would only sync data from 2024. I have tones of data in the Apple Health app but after multiple attempts to sync I still only see health data, workouts, etc up to November 2024.
Data without the confusion
I’ve used every device and app under the sun and this app owns them all. Just perfect presentation and personalization.
Low confidence in data, buggy complications
Sonar is taking raw data and replacing it with their own within the app. For example, my Strava run today shows an average HR of 144. Sonar shows an average HR to be 129. It also changed my average pace from 16:47 to 19:39. In fact, I’m noticing it’s getting my HR data wrong in general. Showing lower than actual HRR, incorrect maximum and minimum HRs, etc. It also shows incorrect HR zones for my workouts in general. As an example, I did a 20 minute walk/run interval and it’s only showing HR data for 3 minutes and 23 seconds. But in Strava, where it was recorded, I have HR data for my entire workout. I thought this would be a good place to aggregate and interpret my fitness data but it seems unreliable at best. Apple Watch complications are buggy as well. My HRV delays updates for 24 hours and sometimes all four Sonar complications are just blank. They show up in widgets and the app but the Apple Watch integration is definitely lagging. I like the idea of choosing what data I see in the app. But I hate that it randomly changes my range from month to week in the chart area. What I want is monthly charts, weekly trends, then daily goals. It keeps reverting back to weekly charts. I don’t need weekly data in charts and trends. It’s redundant.

You can link one device, the next one costs a subscription. Use Bevel instead, Sonar is a joke.
Sehr gute Übersicht, Einbindung von Strava mangelhaft
Ansich eine gute und sehr übersichtliche App. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist die übersichtliche Darstellung des Stresslevels sowie die zentrale Bündelung aller relevanten Informationen an einem Ort. Die Einbindung von Apple Health funktioniert zuverlässig und problemlos. Leider ist die Integration von Strava deutlich verbesserungswürdig. Workouts lassen sich nicht im Detail anzeigen – die App versucht zwar zu laden, die Seite bleibt jedoch leer. Da ich den Großteil meiner Aktivitäten über Strava tracke, ist die App in ihrem aktuellen Zustand für mich leider nicht nutzbar.
Incredible health app
I had this running for months, checking it against my whoop data. Now I’m confident I can focus on this, Peloton, and Apple Watch data, and don’t need to pay the whoop subscription anymore. The data and UX is an absolute pleasure to navigate through. Keep it up, I love it and have recommended it to everyone
Sync Data Issues
Why is some sleep data not being synced? Had to force a sync with Apple Health and even then still showed zero for some days while other apps sync same data from same source just fine. Might need to reevaluate what fields and how you pull data from Apple.
Parfait mais pas en français.
L’application est vraiment très bien faite et très belle, elle a en plus le mérite de se connecter à beaucoup de services et applications (comme Aktiia c’est la première fois que je vois cette intégration dans une app et c’est top), les infos sont toutes intéressantes mais aucune prise en charge du français. J’utiliserai cette application et je prendrais un abonnement quand elle sera traduite en français.
Stay away
The app itself is fine (not great, but okay - the screen shots in their promos over promise though), but the business practice is shady at best. Highly recommend avoiding this, as getting any support or customer service was next to impossible. Highly unsatisfied, and $50 poorer.
No transparent pricing
The app costs $50 per year. Sonar is not transparent with the price on the app store or their website. You have to download the app and sign up to find out the cost. I deleted the app due to the cost.
Consolidation Power!
I’ve been using Sonar for a couple weeks now and love how I am able to see everything from all sources in one place. The app functionality and graphics are intuitive and clean, with a lot of good advice thrown in. Even though you can add multiple streams of info from numerous sites (i.e.: Strava, Apple Health, Training Peaks, etc) the app will not duplicate your data or workouts. There is also ways to prioritize sources if you want to. In the first week I did have an issue with some of my nutrition info from Cronometer not making it into Sonar. Their customer service and tech team followed up promptly, resolved the issue in a couple days, and followed up with me throughout the process to make sure their fixes worked. No chat bot involved LOL!
App not working
App is not responsive as I’ve tried multiple times to create an account and signup. Unfortunate.
Maybe Widget integration
Love Sonar. Would love a clean simple widget. This would also remind me to open the app. Thanks
Synchronisation
Très mauvaise synchronisation avec les applications
It's OK?
I've been using this app along with four others for the past six months or so. I love the idea of being able to choose how to sync and show the data from different sources. However outside of that, the presentation of data is a mess. It's missing a lot of data points that are present in its competitors. This is despite the fact that it's just as pricey as those competitors. I get where this is going and it may have potential. Adding features like journaling and food tracking may or may not help. Journaling would be the one I would most like to see personally.
AMAZING App
Been looking for an app like this that can truly provide a deep analysis on all the years of data my Apple Watch has captured over the previous 5 years. For anyone focused on wellness and fitness, this app is a must have.
Not worth it
I missed the free trial end. Doesn’t give you any new data just puts it on a fancy screen. Takes time to upload it from Apple anyways.
Great app but a few things are missing
Really liking the app so far. My wishlist item is having separate unit settings for each body weight and body temperature (each separately), separate from the rest of the line items in the app. Us weirdos in Canada are an odd hybrid of imperial and metric so i'm always having to go do mental math before I can enter certain things into the app lol. I like imperial for some things and metric for others. Also, I just realized there is nothing for tracking lymph nodes (swollen, normal, etc). I would also love to see a general notes option where I can write down other health related notes that aren't covered in other categories (like if I'm noticing a flair up starting)

Looks like a great app with so much potential to rival apps like Bevel. I used for a few days and despite syncing, unsyncing, and syncing my health data and watch, all stats still say 0.

Well this app would be great if I could actually sync my Strava, Technogym and Fitbit data to it. Each time I try, I get “internal error” or “try again” messages. I’ve looked at my settings and it all looks ok, so why is this happening?
App & Customer Support
Great app. Extremely easy to navigate and use the UI. Entering meals is quick and easy. A lot of insightful information on all sorts of aspects of my diet. Customer support has been spot on, they reply within minutes!
Zero customer support
Collates health data into and app that's easier to use than Apple Health but doesn't have any killer functions yet. Nothing with regards to recovery, strain, training readiness, etc which many free apps already provide.

Warum ist die Whoop-Integration verschwunden?
An und für sich ist die App ein toller Ansatz verschiedene Plattformen und Geräte an einem Ort zu vereinen. Auch wenn noch nicht alles perfekt funktioniert, wird es doch auch relativ schnell immer besser. Nur ist mir gerade aufgefallen, dass mein Whoop-Sync schon etwas älter war und der manuelle sync nicht funktioniert hat. Also hab ich das Gerät entfernt und wollte es erneut hinzufügen, nur gibt es jetzt kein Whoop mehr in der Auswahl… Was ist da los?
One App to Rule Them All
In comparison to other similar apps, like Bevel and Athlytic, Sonar has three strengths: (1) configurability; (2) integration support; and (3) appearance. Want to reorder a section, hide a metric, change a view? No worries. Want a place to aggregate your data from Oura, Withings, Apple Health, and Strava? You found it. Want that data to be attractively presented against beautiful and configurable backgrounds? You got it. Want pages and pages to drill down through, with all the data explained and presented with accompanying actionable insights? Sonar’s got you covered. I didn’t realize at first that this is exactly the app I’ve been looking for because it wasn’t set up the way I wanted right out of the box. Once I took the time to tweak everything, though - holy cow. I will no longer need to check multiple apps daily and piece my health picture together across them. Sonar is my new one-stop-shop.

Maybe good if it worked?
This app is hilariously inept. It notifies me dozens of times a day to let me know about things that happened 14 hours ago or about “winding down” at 1 pm. I have not received a single message from this app that was relevant, and it sends me 5-10 a day. Most of the information available appears to be identical to what’s already in the Health app. I wanted to like it, but I can’t figure out what it could be useful for. Do you find yourself wanting to be alerted that you exercised 17 hours ago? Do you like to be told that you’re just starting your day at 3 pm? If so, maybe this is the app for you.
The potential is there
I’m a Bevel user and my frame of reference is my UX there. I appreciate the visual UI here, but it’s too much effort to find the data I’m looking for amongst all the irrelevant images. There’s overuse of myriad stock photos. I’m far less interested in photos of fit models climbing stairs or meditating. Show me the data. Focus on the data. On a single customizable screen. Then “at a glance” might really just be a glance rather than moving between the “home” and “health” screens and horizontal scrolling to expose more data. Keep at it!
Very nice data consolidation
Does a much better job than Apple health for consolidating data for multiple devices. Very rapid customer service when there is a question – well worth the price.

App good. Sync needs some work
App is exactly what I’m looking for. Slick simple. Tracks what I need and provides key insights. A couple areas of improvement Sync- background sync should happen. It won’t sync with web unless I go into the app and update first each time. That’s a manual process Metric up and down / red and green may be off For example. Respiratory rate going down over time is a positive metric (green) not red. I think the rest is good. Keep it up! Will keep using!
Overpriced.
I know that apps, and good ones, need constant updates and investment. I have no problem paying for good ones, but the cost for this one is simply too high. It’s a beautiful app, but it does what many others do for a fraction of the price. If your only source of data is the Apple Watch, stick to other apps.
Seems great
The tutorial keeps locking up my main screen and I can’t bypass or turn it off. This shouldn’t be happening. Please fix.
