Leaving
It used to be a great app and saved me from buying WHOOP but since upgraded to iPhone 17 pro and updated Athlytic to the latest version it crumbled; no updated data about recovery, sleep, exertion etc. Not reading workouts or showing trends so it lost its glory. Not for me anymore 👋
Great app one issue
Your app doesn’t account for nap in overall sleep goal. I usually take a nap after work. So sometime between 6-8;30. Then get up to do few things that I need to do. Go back to sleep around 10:15 to wake up around 4’am. Total 6.5 to 7.5 hours of sleep but the app shows the nap however does not count it and gives me horrible sleep score.
Not very accurate
This does not align with how I feel at all. For example, I have felt great training all week and the app has told me my recovery has been 30-45%. This morning is the first day all week that I have been 100% recovered (according to the app) and I am incredibly sore and tired from a hard workout yesterday. It’s telling me that my cardiovascular fitness has decreased with it most definitely has not. In fact, it’s better than it has been in a while. I feel great on long runs (5+ miles) I do sleep with my apple watch and have changed the settings to what is recommended but I still find this to be wildly inaccurate.
Asking me to pay again even though I have a live subscription
Should have an auto end workout like all similar apps do. Sometimes I forget to end the workout after a run and don’t notice until the next day when I go to run again.
Good app
This is one of my favorite apps to see everything my watch tracks.
Pointless
Complete waste of money
Seems to be good
Seems to be good, I’ll swap out from my whoop I think as this will give me everything I need from just my Apple Watch. Only thing I find the AI assistant is lacking massively! It would be good if there was an option to integrate Gemini or chat gpt or have the ability to connect in
Conflicting figures
The app constantly conflicts itself. Whether it says I’ve recovered fully and then I click for further info and it says recovery is only partial or it says that my battery is 100 but recovery is extremely low. I often find that this app is hard to read and the AI assistant doesn’t really help either..
BP
Would be nice if blood pressure were factored in. That’s a significant metric.
Title: From 3 Stars Back to 5 ⭐️
I originally gave Athlytic 3 stars because the sliders with weekly goals under the Athlytic Age tile were removed. I used those sliders to see whether I was behind, on track, or ahead of my goals for the week, so losing that feature really affected how I used the app. I reached out to the Athlytic team, and they actually listened. They responded to me last week and put the sliders back yesterday. That kind of responsiveness deserves recognition. Athlytic has genuinely helped me lose weight, improve my fitness, and become a stronger cyclist. Being able to track my recovery and see my progress has become an important part of my daily routine. So I’m changing my review from 3 stars back to 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you to the Athlytic team for listening to your users and bringing back a feature that matters. Keep up the great work!
Doesn’t work. Avoid.
None of my data which I have on my Apple Watch or iPhone syncs with the iPad version of the app. Don’t waste your money.
Useful training aid
I use this to monitor / manage effort training for Ironman and have found it very informative on workload as well as lifestyle impacts
Ok
The stats I’m given are almost always the opposite of what my body is telling me!
Latest updates ruined it
This used to be a great app the turned Apple Watch data into much more meaningful insights. However the latest updates (June 2026) which include AI chat are awful. The interface isn’t as user friendly and the ai is a moron - e.g I asked where the Athlytic Age feature had gone and it told me my age (thanks, I know) and then told me my VO2 max and HR stats were making me older even though they are both listed as excellent in the app. Real shame, especially as I just renewed my annual subscription!
Alternative to wristbands
Love the multiple metrics and the data that I have access to. I debated about buying a wristband tracker and having an Apple Watch at the same time. This offers the best compromise one device. In terms of accuracy, I feel that it’s good enough for me. The yearly subscription is reasonably priced.
Download BEVEL App instead, this app is now paywalled as of June 4, 2026
They updated this app and now you have to pay to get access to almost everything. A friend told me about Bevel which is WAAAYYY better and gives you so much more accurate/complete infos in the free version.
Good app / good value
Close to great - only one thing-> from widget i want to jump straight to the respective metric not just the home menu
Erratic Data Capture
Generally the data in Athlytic doesn’t seem to align with my primary data source - my Apple Watch - which makes me doubt the truth of any of its metrics.
Good app but
I like the app which does a decent job analyzing recovery and giving daily guidance on how hard to workout. Pro version, for the cost, is a good value compared to other options. But after much effort and hassle, still cannot get Apple Watch app to function. Will consider revising rating if their help can help me get watch app working.
A godsend during my recovery from pneumonia
I discovered a completely different use for Athlytic: recovering from pneumonia! ChatGPT suggested Athlytic to me when I was trying to figure out how to safely manage my activity while recovering. What I expected to be a fitness app became an incredibly helpful tool throughout my seven-week recovery. The Exertion score was particularly valuable. I could literally watch it climb while I was doing what seemed like very little—walking the dog, doing a few things around the house, or other normal daily activities. It helped me understand that even though something felt minimal, my recovering body was still working hard. That made it much easier for me to recognize when I had done enough and needed to rest. I also loved watching my Recovery and Battery scores and trends. Over time, they gave me another way to see that I really was improving, even when the progress felt frustratingly slow. Seven weeks later, I finally woke up feeling like myself again—and Athlytic showed a 100% Recovery score and 100 Battery. It was wonderful to have the way I felt and the data finally saying the same thing! Athlytic has been a godsend during my recovery. I came to it because of ChatGPT, and I’ve learned how useful it can be not only for deciding when to push—but, just as importantly, when not to. And now that I’m finally feeling like myself again, I’m looking forward to using Athlytic for its more traditional purpose—getting back to cycling and running! 🚴♀️🏃♀️
Buggy and Inaccurate
It has been over counting Workout minutes in HR Zones for 6 months. Devs has nothing but apathy for users even when reporting bugs over email and social. This fundamental issue breaks the whole experience. Overcounted workout minutes reflects in Athlytic Age, Training Load etc. Less said about Apple Intelligence powered AI features the better. Devs are more interested in virtue signalling on privacy rather than shipping a functional product. Misleading consumers with “AI coach” branding. Never regretted a sub this much.
I want the rings back!!
I loved the rings ! So easy to glance at to deep exertion and sleep! Bring back the rings or make it a display option. I really enjoy the app 5 stars!! But without the rings…. 4 stars. I’m so disappointed every time I open the app now… it takes me much longer to understand my stats.
Not for strength trainers
A primary reason to have an app like this is to utilize the information to guide your training. The exertion measure is geared towards cardio respiratory excercise, so even though there are some clear signs I need to lessen my volume, the app is telling me I’m either maintaining my current level of fitness or in restorative mode. Basically it doesn’t track the intensity of a lift and thus the information isn’t helpful to me. The type of person using apps to track data are likely already fitness enthusiasts and, to be real, our number one problem is overtraining. Misinformation like this could have easily lead me to overtrain even more if I didn’t know better.
Interesting health data aggregator
As a place to pull all your data together, it’s an decent option. As anAI Coach? Well, all AI in my experience so far is absolutely full of BS, this one seems to be no less prone to that. If I followed its advice I’d eventually be fat and sedentary on the couch. It tells me everyday to rest up and “consider training at the minimum of your exertion range.” Can’t wait until society realizes there’s nothing Intelligent about AI…
It works!
I have used Athlytic with my Apple Watch & Apple Health and MyFitnessPal to lose 70+ lbs & cut my body fat in half or more. The Athlytic app is easy to use and easier to understand while being well-supported & designed. Lots of data for those of us who want to really dig into details, but also useful for those who just want results. If you are willing to do the work, Athlytic will help guide you to success. Thanks!
Update
App isn't responsive after update.
Please add Rise Sleep as a source of sleep data
Great app but needs to diversify beyond apple Health and it takes a long time to refresh
UI change is horrible
Not sure why they decided to remove the nice, intuitive rings and replace them with bars but I hate hate haaaate it
Terrible
Stop the review prompts. App is broken
Life Changing
I am a regular guy in my early 50’s trying to stay in decent shape. I bought this app to get useful insights from all the data my Apple Watch collects. It revealed to me what was destroying my sleep and it’s helped me to work out more effectively. It’s the first thing I look at each morning and it’s enabled me to get better rest and recovery than I’ve had in years.
Updates are terrible
The app was working fine before the updates this week. Now it’s super glitchy, energy consumed doesn’t pull from Apple health on the correct day, what’s on the widget doesn’t match the details inside the app. Looking for another app to use!!
Great but one bug
Can you fix the sleep data sync issue with Apple
Disappointed
As you can’t add and personalise new journals for example a.m. caffeine, afternoon caffeine, late night caffeine; to see the effect each one of these may have for example on sleep instead it only allows you to add one single caffeine. Makes this currently weak and unusable until it is changed to include these
Really dislike the newer workout display
I’ve been using Athlytic for around four years now. I have loved it. It turned my Apple Watch into a whoop band at a more affordable price. However, the new display of of workouts is no good. What happened to the stats of each workout? I used to be able to see max/average heart rate during the workout, now that info seems to be gone? And if not where have you moved it to? I find this to be useful and interesting information, why would you remove that?
AMAZING!
This app tells you everything you need to know about your health in an easy digestible way. Couldn’t recommend more!
Question
It is either not working, has changed or trying to force me to upgrade without any explanation
Worth the money
I love this app… it’s my own personal dashboard for my body. I highly recommend it!
More Functionality
EDIT: Dropped down to 2 starts, the battery is absolute nonsense. I have run this paid version for his for a year but will be switching to PeakApp, metrics seem to make more sense. Still lacking a lot of functionality for me. // It goes without saying this is a really good app, offering more insight than Apple health and rivals Whoop. But I think we are limited without more flexibility and functionality. Some improvements: let us delve into statistics more than 7/30/60 days ago? I know you can look back at the past 6 months on calendar, but I want to see my battery waveform ever since I started wearing the watch, for example. Max and min daily battery levels. More stats using historic data, there is a lot more insight that can be provided rather than just the last few days.
Previous results can fluctuate…
It’s ok but I find the basic apple health a better none fluctuating platform… I experience Athlytic’s changing previous stress scores, hrv & other results… & it causes confusion & I now know why I never renewed after using it for a year last time…I understand it has to settle into your biometrics over time, unfortunately these bugs are the same reason I didn’t get on with it… Now a year later I’ve re subscribing I’m having the same issues & can only see it continuing so I won’t be paying much attention to it more than a toy, not a biometrics app for health…
Love the details
I’m currently in training for a tournament. I thought I would try a more analytical approach than in past. I gave this app a shot, and it works amazingly! The pairs perfectly with my Apple Watch. Days I would mentally try to push my body and potentially get injured, when this app says don’t train, I enjoy a rest day. Also, days that I’m tired and I open up the app and it says I should train, it gives me that little bit of motivation I need.
Terrible update
I hate the numbers, bring back the graphics on the home page. Easier and quicker to register at a glance
Needs more long term statistics
I mainly use this for the recovery statistics. The recovery is a combined figure of waking HRV and resting heart rate I would like to see them separately with history graphs as well as the recovery score. I would like to be able to compare the last months and years to see long term progress similar to whoop rather than just the combined recovery score for the last 60 days.
But Rubbish Really!
Since getting a whoop, I can see so many flaws with this app.
Its ok.
This app is so much better than when i tried it before. Much more polished and useable. I find it a bit overwhelming with all the data available, and sometimes the numbers feel random. Only 5 hours of sleep but 100% recovery? Offers much more than Gentler Streaks, which i find too simple by comparison. Though it would be great if Athlytic had a “simple” mode which offered Gentler Streaks like motivation.
Love it
Great insights analyzing my overall data. Would highly recommend
3hr 55m sleep - 100% recovery
Had very little sleep due to having a newborn. Feel like absolute death but this app thinks I’ve had 100% recovery. Completely inaccurate nonsense. Would not recommend.
A lot of data - some of it useful
This provides you with a lot of interesting health, fitness, and sleep data, much of which you won’t get from Apple direct. I particularly like the training load details, and the stats for sleep, recovery, and exertion. I also like the idea of the battery but the levels it tells me usually feel way off (and way less accurate than Bevel’s battery stat). I think they probably calculate it in different ways but this needs real work. I also don’t love the design of the app visually, and aspects of the layout could probably be a bit better, but it sounds like a redesign is in the works so hopefully that will improve. Anyway, if you like data and want more insights into yourself then I’d say this is worth the money (and you do basically need to pay as the free version is incredibly limited), but there’s definitely room for improvement.
Fit for purpose?
I’ve been using this for a few months now and considering it’s a paid app I find it very frustrating that unless you are recording all your workouts on your Apple Watch then you won’t automatically get heart rate data. Athlytic themselves seem to recommend buying another paid app if you want heart rate data from Strava. If there’s an app that can already do it why not this app as well? Anyway I just did a 3x5min v02 workout and Athlytic has recorded my average heart rate as 88bpm… So, if you can’t import heart rate data why not let users record RPE or correct the average heart rate manually?
Laggy
Definitely useful but really laggy on iOS26
