Unnecessary App That Doesn’t Work
With Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and iCloud Passwords already supporting MFA, Equate forces their own bespoke app that gives an error whenever you try to pair with their custom QR code. Their website annoys you each time you login to set it up. This is unnecessary friction for a useless app that is trying to solve a problem that has already been solved.
What if I want less security?
Don’t force this 2FA on me. Let me use my cell phone # or a standard authentication app. My phone doesn’t have extra storage space on it, I don’t like having extra apps, EquatePlus struggled to generate the QR code or the text messages needed to log into the app so i’m not even confident I’ll be able to get in when I do need it (like once a year). Why are we over-complicating things?
Face Recognition
Each time the App is open it’s asking for a QR SCAN that I have face recognition to open the app. This need to be fixed for established users.

Edit: nach fix wieder möglich Anmeldung aufgrund angeblicher Netzwerkprobleme weder über WLAN noch über Mobilfunk möglich. Somit kein Zugriff auf Konten.

When the website was asking for 2 factor authentication, I thought it would allow me to use some existing Authenticator app. Instead it forces you to use this dumb app. Why are you guys reinventing the wheels?
The most brittle security app I’ve ever seen
Trying to register a new device when you still have access to the old device is pretty much impossible. It’s junk

I do not want or need another MFA app especially one from Equate, how this app could be available for so long but still being pushed on your users with 1 star shows how hostile Equate is to their own customers
What Is The Point?
What is the point of this app…?!?!? I’ve been using the actual Equate app for years with no problems - now, with this app = suddenly there are problems…?!?!?!?
Access
It's so frustrating to start using this app. After pointing to the QR code, it processed, accepted my face recognition, and says it was successful. After that, there is a green bar that populated to continue but when I pressed it, it asked me again to enter the QR code and was asked to do the same process over and over again. I stopped continuing and deleted the app.
