Dueling Dates
Challenges is so much fun to play with my boyfriend. We literally sit next to each other and spend hours dueling. It’s so romantic! lol

Great game but there are known issues that aren’t being fixed. There are issues around the cavern events saving in iOS causing items to disappear
Großartiges Spiel - schlechte Bedienbarkeit
Das Spiel macht großen Spaß und ist sehr fesselnd. Frustrierend ist jedoch, dass die Steuerung nicht sauber funktioniert: in jedem Run passiert es mehrmals, dass man andere Karten ausspielt, als man eigentlich möchte, weil diese so dicht nebeneinander angeordnet sind. Außerdem spricht der Touchscreen beim Ausspielen falsch an und sorgt so für weitere Fehler. Das hätte man wirklich besser machen sollen - zum Beispiel die Karten nebeneinander.
Lost all progress using iCloud sync
Spent hours on my iPhone, having unlocked most things and started a game on my iPad only for it to load the tutorial level and delete all progress on my iPhone. iCloud sync is broken with many corroborating reports online and no effort by the devs to help with this! Most other games have the option to choose local data or cloud data when opening it up but Monster Train just merrily deletes all your progress and doesn’t let you look back.
Please let us resize text
iPhone users need options for text resizing. Otherwise, it’s a game for ants. Also, would you please be mindful of the different assets on the screen such as the Dynamic Island and the rounded corners of the screen. Everything is chopped off because the game was made for square screens. I couldn’t even play through the first level because I couldn’t read some things on the screen.

Not sure why I held off on MT and glad I finally pulled the trigger. If you’re into slay the spire and deck builders , you will LOVE MT!
I hate this game
It’s amazing how horrible I am at this game or maybe I just don’t know how to play. Every run ends the same getting over run by too many unit where I am not able to do enough damage.
It’d be a 5, but for bugs & no support
So I love rougelike games, and having mastered Slay the Spire, picking up Monster Train seemed a natural shift. And I am loving this game, and its dynamic variability. However there are several recurring bugs (see below example) that there are no good fixes for, and all efforts to contact support via email or discord have had no response. So yeah, great game. Love the game. Plan to get MT2, but don’t hope for glitch assistance. “Can’t find if this has been posted anywhere else, but I have a recurring glitch playing Monster Train on iOS. If I get a Concealed Caverns event, and anything causes the game to close out (like a phone call, or putting the phone down to go do something else) before getting to the next fight to “save” progress, then on reopening the game the Concealed Caverns will be greyed out & locked but I got no reward from it. Is there any fix for this? This has happened enough times to actually make me burn an entire run because losing that reward completely nerfed the deck setup. Note: as far as I have experienced, this only happens with the Concealed Caverns. No other reward events are impacted.”

Should be able to organize your deck on upgrade screens and when looking at deck, by newest and type
idk maybe you can and I’m just blind but seems like a no-brained to add this feature. Great game otherwise I scooped it up immediately after seeing BaalorLord play it a fair amount

Excellent Game
This game checks all the boxes. It’s fun, engaging, highly replay able, and you can feel yourself get better as the challenges grow. There’s no inane and predatory in app purchases. All kinds of small quality of life touches throughout. My only complaint is I worry I’ll be addicted when I run out of challenges to beat! Give me a couple cosmetic ways to “tip” the developer here, or just more dlcs, y’all deserve success. Well done!!

The crazy RNG in this game meant to make each run unique and interesting actually just makes it extremely unlikely that you’ll be able to finish a run.
Very good game, some UX issues
You should really be able to view your deck whenever you have to draft or pick a new card. It seems like poor UX not to allow it in some situations and to do so in others. That said, still a very addictive game that I’ve sunk a lot of hours into.
Too simplistic
It’s like spire but for 12 year olds. Doesn’t deserve 4.9 Also needs unlock all button so it’s less grindy
Incredibly replayable
So many different combinations of clans and cards makes it almost infinitely replayable. That said, I would love a sequel or a new clan

It works but you have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. If you can play on steam I'd advise that version but if this is the only platform you can play monster train on you will not be dissapointed. The game itself is great despite it not being an optimal experience on mac with the UI. This version definitely suits the Ipad more than the mac.
Nice port, quality of life needed
Loved this game for years. Happy it’s on iOS. 2 things that would be welcome changes: - You can’t see your cards when choosing a card reward a battle. It’s hard to keep track of all the synergies. Just keep the top menu available so I can see my current trinkets/cards. - “tap & hold for info” animation takes too long. I don’t mind the circular loader as a ui element but it needs to be faster.

I love this game
Great game but …
Just lost all my progression. Was playing on my iPad mini for few days, log onto my iPad Pro for a game and it launch tutorial. I check that iCloud save is correctly enabled (default). I then launch the game on my mini and sure enough I’m in the tutorial. If I go back to menu, my logbook is now erased, lost all progression, but I can still see all my runs in history runs, kinda frustrating.
Excellent, but touch control needs improvement
This game is great, it would be 5-star for me if it wasn’t for the occasional issues I have using the cards, they can be a little difficult to select/use, especially when you have many. A mechanism similar to Hearthstone’s where you touch-hold and drag to inspect each card, then further drag into play would be perfect.

Playing on a new apple device will destroy your save!!
Bugs: -installing on additional ios devices will clear your cloud save. I lost a couple hours of playing as a result. Turn off cloud saves or back your saves up when installing on multiple devices. Cloud save works fine after though. -hard to read cards -wrong card often played depending on how you drag your selected card to the play area. Otherwise the game is amazing and I strongly recommend. 5/5, -1 for the cloud save bug. I was eagerly awaiting the game to come to IOS. No cross platform save for other systems though.
Gutes Spiel, aber....
Als Besitzer anderer Roguelike Spiele sowie verschiedene Tower defense muss ich sagen, das game macht sehr viel Spass, der Widerspielwert bis man die 100% geknackt hat hält sich aber in grenzen. Der Preis ist zu hoch.
Great spin on rogue based run game
Extremely interesting and fun deck builder. Has some of the best themes from Slay the Spire, with lots of replay-ability. Great game design and love the ability to forge/upgrade the cards.
Awesome game
I’m hooked first time playing it. But seeing videos of how the steam version allows you to view your cards prior to choosing draft of cards. The mobile version doesn’t allow you to view the deck of cards while selecting say draft units or clan pack cards. This makes it very difficult to make decisions as u need to memorize your deck pre-battle
Great game but…
This game is a ton of fun. Unfortunately, after purchasing the DLC, I only have access to it after a full phone restart. 5 stars when this gets fixed.
best mobile game
i love deck builders and this game does that perfectly with a insanely creative story and good art i say this is easily my favorite mobile game there is a bug where if you close the app during the animation where the pyre is destroyed you can restart the battle with 0 pyre hp and if pyre damage is applied to you or the boss makes it to the pyre the game is just stuck
Good game but does not work for ipad mini
It is really a good game. But for ipad mini, I can not select the boss because it is off the screen. That’s really sad that I can not use spell cards to deal with boss.
Love this game on pc, feels clunky on iPad
Absolutely love this game. This game is an awesome deck building game. Highly recommend on pc and I hope to recommend on iPad in the future. Experienced a bug when placing my first train steward and the card was stuck in a half played position. I think it was a tutorial tip that might have interrupted the action. I could push other buttons but I couldn’t play any other cards. I wish I could scroll through the train cars by dragging my finger. And I had a bug in the map where my camera was pushed to the beginning and I couldn’t scroll down. It wasn’t frozen I could interact with the deck, speed, and menu.

Great game. IOS port needs some more work
Issues; 1) can’t cast spells on flying bosses, 2) animation slow compared to PC. Don’t think this is a processor issue in my iPad as it doesn’t even get warm. But the game itself is amazing and one of my favourites.
Cannot target the boss
Cannot apply cards to the bosses that are not on the floor, they are half out of the iPad screen. Also only part of their hp is visible.
