Unplayable on IPad
I was looking forward to this.. but I cannot see the bottom of the cards on the screen... so i cannot see the details i need to play a card.. completely unplayable. Refund me please.
Love the game infuriating sync
I just want a new save on my small iPhone screen, faff about on the low ascensions whilst using my fat fingers on this small window. I was happily doing this too, getting to level 15 then resetting. My last safe however got wiped because I accidentally chose the wrong input on the unwanted sync menu and lost my iPhone saves to be replaced by my IPad main account. Nobody wants to attempt ascension 20 runs on an IPhone SE.
Bad controls limit gameplay
Unfortunately the controls for looking at what a card can do are broken and can accidentally make you play a card. Additionally, sometimes you cannot even see what a card does unless you drag it up. This makes gameplay frustrating. My opinion: do not buy in its current state. Wait until it gets fixed (if that does happen)
Great Game, Meh Port
Love playing on my PC and wanted a game to play over the holidays, but unfortunately this is a really clumsy port. Tapping and reading each card only works half the time and it takes much longer to play than it should.
Loving it
Looking forward to the 2nd release! The touch is a bit clunky when selecting the cards, but honestly it’s such a good game that I barely care.
Text too small on iPhone 15 pro
The text is unreadable, way too small, despite ticking the option for larger text display… this makes the game completely unplayable for me :(
Screen to small
Great game. Had it on the PlayStation but it’s annoying that you can’t see the value of the cards without swiping the cards up. Be nice if we could reposition screen or make it smaller.

一時的にゲームを中断しようとしても、iPhoneは上にスワイプしないとホームに戻れない仕様のせいで、うまく戻れません。 この操作がちょうどカードを出す動作とかぶっているため、ホームに戻ろうとするとカードを誤って出してしまいます。 この設計をiOSで採用したのは本当に失敗で、致命的なミスだと思います。 それでもゲーム自体は面白いので、評価は★2にします。
Great but some bugs
Love the game. Fantastically designed. I'm writing this review after an incredibly frustrating experience fighting Donu and Deca. I had Combust+ and Rupture+, but my strength wasn't going up at the end of each turn. I lost the fight and will now have to try many times again to beat the ascension level I'm on. Devs - please read this!
The best game on iPhone
I want my life back - this game is too good
Can’t carry across accounts
Extremely disappointing that I cannot carry across my steam account. I have ascension 15 on each character on my steam I account I built up over weeks. I paid for the app thinking I could continue the climb when I am not on my pc, only to find out that there is no account log in or any transfer code. Surely it would not be so hard to implement a transfer code for account transfer, it’s a single player game! Would definitely change my review if this feature existed

Replay value is off the charts
I have played this game for around 400 hours and still regularly pick it up. Easy to learn and so hard to master. It is impeccably balanced, and the incredible variety or strategies and synergies between cards, potions and relics mean there is always something new to discover. An incredible achievement.
Great game, unplayable on iPad
Why would you sell this when it's broken... None of the cards can be read on an iPad screen. Don't waste your money.

Unplayable on iPhone 11 Pro
Looks like it could be a great game but the text is so tiny that it’s actually impossible to play. I literally cannot read the description on most of the cards. Could have warned that it’s unsuitable for iPhones before I spent a tenner on it really
Great game but…
Great game but there are some minor bugs such as cards not attacking the enemy, requiring multiple swipes to work, broken graphics on the cards. But my biggest gripe is the fact that we can’t sync the game with the steam version and there is no cloud backup…

Basically luck, little skill
Even with good cards etc, this game is basically waiting until all stars align.. a lot of the game is redundant due to how hard the bosses hit etc. it’s ok but could be so much better.

Bugs and glitches
Whenever selecting a second card after playing a card, it instantly deselects. You have to reselect it. If you try and use that card right after you selected it but before it deselects, the card does not play, and instead it shows an "exhaust" animation and the card returns to your hand at full cost and unaffected by buffs. This is a terribly game-breaking bug. And it happens every single time, 100% reproducible. In general, the mobile controls are just bad. It's hard to select cards and see what info is on them. When you want to read what a card in your hand does, half the time you can't since the only way to read sometimes it is dragging it out of your hand as if to play it. Yet you still can't even read it because your finger is in the way. Please, make this game actually playable on mobile.
Great game let down by controls
I’ve played this game via the Xbox cloud app on this iPad and it works brilliantly. Why is the native app worse? All it needs is a better way to preview your cards and / or controller support. At the moment it’s incredibly frustrating to peek at your cards before using them, half the time you end up using them in error! Please, I beg you, give it a bit of love devs

Game breaking bugs are showing up.
I recently had an invisible heart. Now I’m clicking end turn and nothing is happening. Game used to be great because you didn’t need an internet connection and now it insists on it. One star unless and until it’s fixed. This was fine for years, you’ve broken it.
Great game but the text is tiny on a iPhone 13 mini
As expected, the text is tiny in the iPhone 13 mini, however I’m not sure why there isn’t a text size option. Also, when try to tab out of the game by dragging the bottom of the screen, it can be a tad fiddly, and you may play some cards you didn’t mean to play by mistake. On the plus side, I do like how the game saves during each part of a run, so no need to do a run in one sitting, as sometimes the app resets itself, so this would have been incredibly frustrating if it didn’t have a save feature.
Kind of sad to see in this state
The game is amazing and has been since it’s release but the port is a disgrace… considering the amount of copies sold, you would think the devs would make an effort to make a decent version of the game. A real shame. The game feels laggy, frame drops, you sometimes grab and play the wrong card, the sound fx seems different than the original version, the touch detection is horrible, it will select a card when you try to scroll. And there’s more. I’m on iPhone 13 Pro Max so I was expecting something better performance wise.
Can’t see upgraded version when picking card
Feel mean giving 3 stars for one oversight but I can’t see the upgraded version of a card when choosing whether to picking it and it’s a really important part of assessing if the card is what you need

such a fun game perfect time killer, i first got it on xbox this game is but i think it’s much better as a humble game the only problem i have with it is that i 100% the game i got all achievements and a20 on all characters i uninstalled the game and lost all progress besides that it’s a amazing game i’d recommend
Can't see
Hey - you guys have tried your game on an iPhone, right? You did notice that you can't read the cards because your finger has to be on where the text is to lift the card out of the deck? I'm asking because it'd be such an easy thing to fix, but you just released the fame and charged money for it in an unplayable state.

Great game but new update ruins gameplay
Game is awesome but the most recent update makes card selection feel less responsive. It was perfect before!
Great but fiddly to play
A highly enjoyable and addictive mashup of run-based rogue like and a combat deck builder. Experience is somewhat compromised by the fact that very little appears to have been done to an interface clearly designed for a mouse making it pretty clunky. Cards and buttons are small and easy to miss press, crucial information is hard to see as it’s designed to be hovered over, and the whole thing is cumbersome to interact with. It’s easy to accidentally play the wrong card, make a choice without properly knowing what you’re choosing or struggle to properly press teeny tiny icons with your fat thumb. Another associated negative is that the game is clearly designed to be viewed on a PC screen resulting in tiny text on cards and prompts and a general feeling that everything is much too small. There must be people for whom this game is unplayable on a phone. It’s unfair to compare it to Hearthstone which is made by a company with far more resources, but that game does everything that’s a negative in Slay the Spire much better on phones, fully optimising the experience for the device. Slay the Spire is a great game, but for the price it’s surprising that more effort was not made to make it play better on a touch device and make it look better on a small screen. Recommended if you can get past the fiddly interface and have good enough eyesight for some seriously minuscule text.

Worked for a couple of days
I loved the game on PS4. Bought it here, it worked for a couple of days, but now won’t get past the first load screen to open the app
Great game - ok port
Having played a bunch on pc thought I’d give the mobile version a try to play whilst in bed. For the most part it’s the same game which is great, hours of fun and a great value The only negative I have is the port, on my iPhone 11 I’m getting fps dips for some reason despite it being a basic game. The text is also very small with finicky controls on the smaller phone screen. This seems like the perfect game for iPad but it’s just alright to play on the phone. Either way great game and definitely worth the price!
No cloud saves
As far as I can see, there are no cloud saves & there isn’t even a way to back up your profile, with unlocked difficulties, cards etc - not even iCloud has the option to back up this game. This needs fixing. Pity because it’s a superb game.
Question
I have played this game on various platforms. This isn’t a great version. When you get a card reward after combat how do you see it’s upgrade ? Also the game doesn’t synch between my iPhone and iPad which is disappointing. Good game poor port
Played over 250 hours on phone, and started on xbox
For a card strategy game its amazing! Easy to play, and understand, difficult to master! The RNG is balanced when building your deck, and even when you fail you just want to instantly try again! And even when you think you’ve completed it, there’s more, an alternative ending? Master ascendancies making each run more and more difficult!
Low frame rate on iPad Air
Really love STS but the game constantly runs at 20-30 frames per second. It’s 2021 please fix it.
Took so long for a major update
After waiting so long for another major update and now it’s finally here.
Cannot open it
I just got this game and was excited cause a lot of people seem to love it, but when I try to open it, the game never opens further than the still image of the spire. Hope it gets fixed soon. I am on IOS 13.6
UI upscaling issue
The game is one of the best in the world, but in one of the recent updates they’ve “optimized” the UI by scaling fonts, which made it worse, completely lost the magic. Please make an option to turn back on classic view

Great game but for 9.99 they havnt added any option to play between different devices your save is stored on the device which is actually a real game changer tbh

Love the game but poor controls!
So love the game rebought on Iphone when also have pc. But it's 2 stars until the controls get fixed, then probably 5 star. Like someone else said almost unplayable... The whole card remains selected until you click back to hand is terrible and causes so many misplays which is compounded ten fold by the only way to see your hand(or read a card) is to click a card, usually making it active resulting in a mis play. Whe heart stone has already correctly done an iPhone interface that can be copied I don't understand why this was released this way. I've only experienced one or two crashes but still had my progress so not to big a deal, and I wouldnt bother mentioning if I wasng already writing a review. Once controls are fixed this review will be five stars and updated and I'd recommend the game to any gamer.
