What people like
- Developer responds to support requests quickly
- Works great with older or basic bikes
- Highly customizable metrics and settings available
What they complain about
- Terrible user interface and confusing navigation
- Setup instructions are poor and unclear
- Connectivity issues with some Bluetooth devices
- App stops working after a few months
Worth it!
Works great, can tailor to your needs. Small learning curve with Echelon bike but a quick email to the developer had the app working with the bike like a charm. Thanks!
Doesn’t connect
Brand new burdock track treadmill and it won’t connect…kept connecting to our tv and refusing to connect to anything else.
Gute App
Die App ist an und für dich sehr gut. Macht das Laufen auf Zwift noch einmal deutlich besser. Leider passen die Steigungen nicht richtig. Sonst war die Spp perfekt
Not working with technogym myrun
Does not work with Technogym MyRun.
It drains battery very fast
I used on a iPad and only work on a rower for one hour. It drained 68% power. The battery log said I used 6 hours. No sense.
Please make some videos or manual
This app maybe is the best but have a very poor user interface and terrible instructions to setting this up. I’m still not able to get it working.
Bait and switch
Bought the app and installed it on my Nordictrack. Can only get 80% of the functionality to work. Contacted the developer on Facebook, did a bunch of debug and still can’t get it to work. Developer asked me to jump to another monthly subscription and still not working. Stay away from this guy.
Great app - but does this support My Woosh aap?
Hi Robert, could you please help me to support this app with My Woosh app? This is a free app just like zwift!
Very bad
The only thing this has going for it is proprietary Bluetooth connections. Otherwise, it is a terrible app. Embarrassingly bad UI. Terrible navigation. The dev doesn’t have a google api key and it says so. And strava doesn’t even connect lol Much more wrong! I might just use the echelon app instead 🤣
Good but issues with Kickr 6 and virtual shifting
The number of configurable metric tiles available looks good, but I only bought it for the virtual shifting and it doesn’t work with my Kickr 6 + Zwift on PC. I clicked on support in the App Store and it took me to your blog/articles, which doesn’t help with the issue. Could not find an email address to contact Developer.
This app is great!
I bought an Echelon EX-15 used on Facebook marketplace, and didn’t want to pay for their app. After some research online, I found a few people mentioning this app, and thought it was worth a try. I had some minor trouble setting it up, but it was because all my Bluetooth permissions weren’t enabled. Once I fixed that, I was up and running in no time. The little dashboard is so easy to use and gives me all the details I want. I never write reviews, but am just so happy with this app I wanted to let others know how great it is!
Not User Friendly , Waste or Money
I got this app so I could connect my Echelon Treadmill to my Apple Watch so that the distance from my treadmill would sync with my workout. The app connected to the treadmill but never received any data for it. It’s nice it’s not an expensive app but it sucks that you can’t test it out before you buy it. The UI is also awful and getting support is extremely difficult.
Good App for old smart trainers
A very good App for virtuell shifting when using older smart trainers. Take some minutes to get the App Running correctly, and you have to get familiar with the usability. A lot of statistics in, and you have a big choice in the settings. Take your time to get into it. Connection to my Wahoo kickr v5 worked well, also shifting is working. Using Smartphone to shift is not the ideal Instrument, think about Zwift play Controllers. What is extraordinary: the Short response time of the author of the App. Every Company can learn, what real Service is. Even on sundays he is answering within minutes and helping a lot!
It kinda works
I got my Kickr Core working with Peloton after about 10 minutes of reconfiguring, restarting the app and trial and error. However the UI is abysmal. It's confusing and hard to use. I've seen CLIs with better UX.
Great Customer support
Had issues with the app, wasn’t complicated and got instructions to fix and the app works as advertised.
Difficult setup
I trying now since 2 h to find the correct gear/resistance settings as I want to use it for the MyWhoosh app. If I’m shifting the Gears (Zwift Kicker), I m getting multiple gears up or down… really frustrating this app and even spent money on it. Can not understand all the positive remarks for the moment
Unreliable
Was good for first few weeks, then the resistance between Zwift and bike stopped feeding through. Hopefully the developer can help me as I can’t find anything on any support pages which replicates this issue.
Fixed
The developer was great and helped me fix the issue!
Do not use with Kickr V4
Unless you really know what you’re doing, DO NOT BUY THIS APP. It has totally messed up the gearing on my kickr v4. I look and feel like a kid on a trike on Zwift rides. I have tried several different solutions. Also when trying to re-calibrate my kickr it continually ends prematurely. I finally contacted Wahoo support who have provided a back door solution to re-calibrate. I’m not saying QZ does not do what it says on the tin. But its instructions and guidance is woefully bad if you are not terribly bike/riding technical. There should be a warning for unwary users.
Great app
Fantastic app, but there is a learning curve. It’s pretty amazing what the developer has done. He is also very responsive to emails. Keep up the great work
Strange concept
Couldn’t get my Zwift click / cog that came with my JetBlack victory bike trainer to work with MyWhoosh. I don’t understand the concept of needing 2 iOS devices in order to accomplish this. Hoping the FB group will help (not obvious to find) or MyWhoosh will deliver in-app support for my hardware
Works perfect with my elliptical on running apps
I am forced to work out indoors since it is now over 110° in Phoenix. I paired the QZ app with my elliptical which at first had a few bugs that Roberto worked out with ease. Very happy now I can run indoors with my running apps.
Not happy, it doesn’t work and can’t make it work
Useless. It connects to my treadmill, but when I start it stops immediately. Apple refused to refund me
Intermédiaire entre vélo échelon sport et Rouvy/zwift
Cette application est très intéressante et me permet d’utiliser d’autres applications que échelon. Roberto fournit un support exceptionnel. Je vous la recommande fortement
Doesn’t connect to Yesoul
Great idea and has prob worked for a lot of people. When I start it it will say it’s found the bike amongst other things but does not connect to start receiving data unfortuneately
Great App!
I had trouble setting this up. I contacted the developer and they responded within a few hours. App is now up and running with my peloton bike and it does exactly what I want wanted it to. Great app and fantastic support.
Zwift virtual gear shifting
This app does not work with zwift virtual gears using Rouvy app, it says it does but it does not..
Nordictrack T7.0s
Everything works fine except treadmill settings from an app. I am able to read speed and incline but not set this from the app
Amazing!
Great app and best support ever!
Money back pls
Never connected to my Yesoul bike
Phenomenal!
Have been using this app for years - works great and the support is better than any app I ever experienced. Love it!
iPad problem
Worked fine for 2 years but stopped working recently. I have an iPad Pro running iOS 17. Resistance now shows but everything else shows 0. Sometimes after 6 minutes it registers all other parameters but lately not, just rest since. Using with Echelon Sport. Same issue on 2 different iPads. HELP!!
Terrifically useful app
This app allowed an Echelon bike, in a small apartment building gym, to be used with third party apps. A firmware change made this impossible, but the developer worked diligantly to find a solution. The app now allows the formally practically useless Echelon bike to become a “virtual” smart bike. I cannot praise enough the developers responsiveness to queries nor how customizable and how perfectly the app works.
lagging badly
worked well for 2years. Now it lags. Resistance shows right away. But all other fields show 0 for anywhere from 3 to 6 minutes. Not sure why. Happens to me and my wife on separate tablets.
