Gute App Akku anzeige schlecht
Die Bedienung ist einfach und selbsterklärend und die Updates gehen schnell! Was immer noch total Unverständlich ist, dass die Akku Anzeige immer noch in 5 Balken angezeigt wird und nicht in % Prozent wie bei JEDEM ANDEREN AKKU BETRIEBENEN TEIL wie Handy, E-Auto usw!!!!! 6000€ Bike aber nur 5 Balken 😱

V5.4.2 no issues for my Ep801
Found the bike as soon as I turned it on while searching, and was able to set it up. Didn’t need an account; just hit “skip” on the sign in page. The only hitch I had was that my display wasn’t shown for the connection process, I had to select the switch instead. Worked fine!
This app is the reason to buy SRAM
Super rough Bluetooth compatibility and often doesn’t allows updates. Used across three different phones.
Great App
A great app that gives you deep control over your Di2 setup — you can configure shifting modes, button functions, and fine-tune performance in ways that make a real difference on the bike. The interface covers some fairly complex concepts, so it takes a bit of learning, especially after watching a few YouTube guides. It’s not perfect, and I wish Shimano had its own clear tutorial video — instead, the best guides are from independent creators like Mobilant and Buycycle. Also, the app’s name is confusing — you’d never guess it’s by Shimano! Overall though, it’s an essential tool for any Di2 rider.
Too small can’t read
The instructions and pictures are too small it is useless to try and read . SHIMANO You can do much much better make it like a normial web pages with a zoom so it can be read on iPhones

Firmware Update hat geklappt
Nach den vielen negativen Rezessionen gehe ich mit einem flauen Gefühl an ein Firmwareupdate ran. Ich sah mich schon zum Händler fahren. Nach einer halben Ewigkeit wurde das Update ohne Probleme abgeschlossen. Das, was man vielleicht beachten sollte ist dass man den Bildschirmschoner abschaltet. D.h. der Sperrbildschirm muss in den Systemeinstellungen des Handys auf nie gesetzt werden. Der Abstand von Handy zu Rad Display so gering wie möglich und nach Start des Updates nicht mehr bewegen. Die App immer im Vordergrund lassen. Und bei ging’s auch ohne Registrierung.
Almost useless
If it worked at all it’d be great. Can’t connect to gear to manage. So stupid to need a computer to switch gears.
Firmware Update erfolgreich
Habe ein 105 Di-2 problemlos auf den neuesten Stand gebracht (Akku, vorderes und hinteres Schaltwerk). Nur die Wireless Brems-/Schalthebel zeigten kein Update, obwohl neuere Firmware verfügbar sein sollte. Liegt wohl daran, dass die nur über ein Kabel funktioniert, dass die Hebel mit dem System verbindet. Muss erst beschaffen…
Keine Verbindung möglich
Auch nach mehreren Versuchen, Software-Updates, Bluetooth ein/aus ist keine Verbindung mit dem Rad möglich. Das Problem bestand in der Vergangenheit auch schon. In der vorliegenden Form ist die App leider unbrauchbar!

Fantastic
I don’t normally rate apps. However, using E-tube to adjust me Di2 front/rear derailer made my life so much easier.
CONFUSING
This app is really confusing and it doesn’t actually connect on my bike and change its settings properly. I don’t know if I’m the only one who experienced this, but I think the app is really useless.
Easy and customizable
Very easy to link to bike. Great sliders and control over 15 levels of assist.
AXS is a lot better
Moved from SRAM/AXS to Shimano/E-tube with new bike purchase. Shimano is years behind SRAM on interface, component integration, and battery management.

Alle Funktionen sind gegeben. Firmware Updates haben auch einwandfrei funktioniert.
Incredibly bad
Unintuitive, buggy and one of the worst pieces of software I’ve ever interacted with. Most recent example, updated software then my shifting was bricked as it needed a “passkey” I’ve never once used or needed.
Found this app fantastic
I was not expecting much from this app after the reviews I have read, and confess I didn’t use it at first after switching my old mechanical groupset for Di2. However, frustrated at not being able to get the gear alignment right using micro adjustment on the levers, I tried using the app. Oh, how I wish I’d done this sooner. This made setting both the front and rear mech alignment so much easier and I now have a groupset that shifts seamlessly. My one frustration is that connecting via the app is rather temperamental.
App, die Shimano nicht würdig ist
Wie kann ein so großer Hersteller eine so schlechte App haben? Altbacken, unzuverlässig und wenig innovativ. Dazu dann noch mit Internetseiten, die in der App geöffnet werden. Wofür habe ich denn dann eine App? Verbindung mit den Schaltungen funktioniert fast nie. Scheinbar nur, wenn keine anderen Bluetooth-Geräte in der Nähe sind. Gute Schaltungen, schlechte App.
Frustrating but got there eventually
Connectivity is the problem. Took me hours of deleting app, turning phone on and off, connecting, losing connection, registering, deleting, re-regeristing, deleting app etc etc for hours!! . You just want to open app and see it automatically connect Eventually I got there. After that - great features. Customised as I want … happy days… until I need to change something..

Never connects
Power meter and shifters not recognized by app no matter how many times you try. Tried to forget device and reconnect and does not even recognize. Very frustrating especially with how much $ spent
Funktioniert
Habe mit etwas flauem Gefühl ein Update des Akkus, des Umwerfers und des Schaltwerks meiner 105 Di2 durchgeführt. Hat aber alles einwandfrei funktioniert. Auch die Konfigurationen über die App funktionieren gut. Die UX der App könnte besser sein, daher einen Stern Abzug.

A bit clunky but at least it works
Worked first time I tried: connected, did the firmware updates and tuned the gear changes. The synchro shift selection page is far from intuitive and some of the links to websites are not current, especially the ones to Shimano’s notoriously poor documentation. Bit of work required but overall it’s average for an App.

Kludge
Blue tooth connections problematic getting connection. Sometimes will change to s2s1. So always check because it will mess you up. Confusing interface. Doesn’t allow u to install derailleur firmware updates. Tells u to go to bike shop. Can’t set hood buttons to control opposite shifter. Can’t set shift mode. Pretty much useless buggy poorly written software
Great way to set up your Ebike
So I have used this app on my Orbea Ebike .. You can use it to update software .. set the power for the Eco/trail/boost and see battery life. Whilst is not without fault it’s also not that bad 🙂

Takes a while
I had initial issues in connecting . It didn’t allow me to reset a password i had long forgotten. That is without going into the dealer! Once up and running, the software updates were easy to add. I will get around to the advice in fixing the derailleur! Whilst not that much to vary in Mac iphone version with now old E8000 engine , setting to dynamic was a revelation in improving my trail and bike park riding . I wonder what further development of the E8000 there will be ?

Bricked my system but got it going using charger cable and pc. But app is very average and not intuitive. Will test more. But am disappointed.
After thought of an app
Difficult to connect: sometimes it connects easily, sometimes it doesn’t. Plus it’s only one button on the derailleurs so if you struggle to connect and push it repeatedly, you can accidentally change modes. Also the most prominent thing should be battery health. It’s also just 5 simple green bars for the derailleurs and a single green light for the shifters. And passing along a warning: my LBS made it very clear to not try updating via the app. They get back bricked bikes all the time from people trying.
More effort needed on functionality and connection
I would agree on past review regarding connection and use. Further updates would benefit from: On start up of the bikes push notifications coming up your phone - connect to .... then auto connection with Face ID Second: customising bike LCD screen so that it can display multi readings for example cadence and speed all on the one screen.
No problems just a wish list.
I had no problems with downloading and updating using my mobile phone. My only problem (if that’s what it is) is that I can only select a 11-34 maximum size cassette for my GRX di2 in the app. I have fitted a Wolf Tooth hanger extension and now run an 11-42 which does not appear in the selection settings in the app. Shimano if you are reading this please change the app to allow a broader range of cassettes for those who make modifications like to their bikes.
Bricked my bike
Firmware update on my new Canyon Spectral on stopped in the middle of the update and bricked my new bike. Don’t use this to upgrade your firmware.
Works well
To help you out: if you have firmware updates issues, then update from a computer using the Di2 charging brick with the E-TUBE software on your computer. You can identify what component has bricked and update it with all the other cables disconnected. For example, if the rear derailleur is bricked then disconnect everything else except the battery and cable from the battery to the rear derailleur. The system will then only recognise the rear derailleur and battery and update successfully. The reason this sometimes happens is due to unseated cable connections, mix and match parts or a dodgy wireless Bluetooth transmitter. In order to prevent this, if you see a wireless update for the Bluetooth module available on the bike then disconnect everything except the battery and Bluetooth module and isolate it in isolation. How do I know this? I read the manual. _______________ Works fine for me. Judging by the poor grammar and inability for the below reviews to write a legible sentence I suspect the issues mentioned are related to the user, rather than the software. I’ve edited gearing configurations for ultegra di2 and dura ace, including changing the shifter button functions. It works. Can’t ask for much more. Perhaps RTFM is applicable to the majority of users here!
Slow and Caused E203 error!
All takes way too long to connect. But then, after the update a few months ago, it produced an E203 error on my 801 that can’t be cleared! 😡
Great functionality but confusing
Connects to the DI2 system fine and makes it super easy to change settings. It is pretty confusing to use though and given a lot of users at the Ultegra level will now start using this app, it needs to be simple. Perhaps some different DI2 profiles as a starting point would be good instead of starting from scratch or importing from the bike.

Extremely bad login experience
Constant issues with login into account. Really annoying application. I guess my next build will be with SRAM.
Update required
Need an update to allow 11-46t option for rear cassette setting for Di2 Apart from that, easy to navigate and adjust settings as needed.

Terrible app, just keeps crashing with errors. Shimano should have done a better job with this app. Basically useless! Thanks for nothing!!!

The tutorial function does not work, just sits there trying to load. Otherwise the app works ok to update Di2.
