Äußerst zufrieden
Ich komme von Zwift und Mywhoosh und bin nun bei ROUVY gelandet und geblieben. Die kritischen Rezensionen kann ich nur teilweise nachvollziehen. Bsp.: Bluetooth-Brücke. Zum einen kann diese bei ROUVY über den Trainer hergestellt werden und alternativ sollte man sich überlegen vom Apple TV auf den Mac Mini M4 umzusteigen. Die gesamte Performance ist um Welten besser. Ansonsten tut die App was sie soll - Punkt!
Apple TV Bluetooth expansion
No way to expand the appleTV limitations for Bluetooth connection like Zwift can. Cmon ROUVY it can’t be that hard to implement it
A very good app, the sound is needed
Same as the header. I switched to Rouvy from Zwift due to more flexible costs and sense of real cycling. The most important downside is lack of sound
Pretty pointless
This app seems almost pointless. It’s incredibly buggy and most actions direct you to the website, which is frustrating on an iPhone at best. I think I’ll stick to using the iMac app, which is much more intuitive and doesn’t leave me frustrated.
2.1.2 Release is buggy - no longer sync with Garmin
The 2.1.2 Release is buggy. New Garmin or Strava activities are not being synched. A disconnect and reconnect to those platforms doesn‘t fix the problem. Though training status is not useable any longer. Needs a fix please.

No Well-Integrated Companion ...
3/9/26: Is going to be a deal-killer. If Rouvy is not really serious about supporting hardware, then they just need to come clean. After reading many of these reviews I begin to wonder if users really understand what a companion app should do. It should act as an intermediary to the primary application running on an TV or computer. In the case of TV this is required since, (for some nutty reason), has chosen to severely limit the number of simultaneous BT connections it can handle. I don't just a connect a trainer, I connect that plus at least 3-4 other devices like a heart rate monitor, and etc. I've got a week of free trial which I'm going to use, but, the companion app needs to be a fully functional, co-productive piece of software, not just another way to look at my meta data. There is not a single mention of this on the Rouvy web site, and it's not included in the votable upgrades, which I find surprising. When you think about the functionality of the companion app, think Zwift. Or don't, and I'll just make sure to tell all of my zwift riding buddies to keep using Zwift, which I will also do. Best of luck.
Works well - it things to improve
First of all it works quite good. I like the new statistics overall. There it would be cool to hover with my finger through the days, to see exactly my watt, because the Y axis only is sometimes hard to see, it is more a guess. Actually it would be also nice to have a better overview on workouts, like upcoming intervals. Also, if possible, it would be a gamechanger if I can switch the virtual gears easily in the app, because with the Zwift Click it‘s not working properly.
App sorely lacking
The app still feels like a POC. I don’t get the point of it if everything you’re looking to fetch in terms of data like write information for example results in a redirect to their web portal. Also, I don’t even know why you can’t access your favorites from the Companion app either or schedule a ride with the calendar. The route search is weak too—we really need filters.

I love the companion. It allows me to do other things like take phone calls, select music, ect. If you try and do that in ROUVY it seems to stop the ride and messes up. The companion is great that way. Plus it is easier to control the ride like pausing. It fills a good gap
Poor feature set
No Apple Health integration. They had but removed Apple sign in. No Apple password or any password manager support… I don’t know my password and I don’t want to. No other third party integrations other than Strava. I prefer ROUVY over Zwift but you guys need to get serious about supporting Apple users.
Gute basis aber verbesserungsbedürftig
Gute basis. Meistens stabil. Aber es fehlen einfach viele Navigation Features. Allen voran fehlt jedwede Möglichkeit die ride later list auch nur im geringsten sortieren oder filtern zu können. Das ist doch ein ux nobrainer für die usecases die diese App erfüllen soll!
Disconnected
I continue to get an icon in the Companion app that says not connected to my Apple TV 4K when I push the Connect button, it says retry then the apps gave me a 3-D barcode which I scanned and all it did was prompt me to download the app I already had

Great companion app!
I wasn’t expecting much as many of the reviews were negative, but it worked really well for me. All the controls I would expect and a real map to follow my progress on. No issues whatsoever.
Useless software
What is reason to constantly advertise something it does not work? Fix it and then talk about. It’s so bad that cannot even get connected to internet!
Drops connection
Great app, but it tends to drop connections at completely random times. Sometimes it’s a few seconds, but sometimes an hour or more. I’m not doing anything different on the bike when it happens. No new electronics are near me and nothing has changed. I’m maybe riding for two hours or more and then it drops.
Sehr langsam
Die App ist vom Aufbau gut, allerdings reagiert sie im Fahr-Modus im ersten Bildschirm (Pause Ride,take snapshot,…) extrem langsam.

Je met que 3 étoiles , Companion n’est pas en français ! Heureusement que rouvy l’est !!
Useful for workouts and maps
I use this to start, end and pause rides from my bike. Also tweaking difficulty on workouts and being able to skip to the next step is very handy. The other feature I love is being able to see where I am on a map of the world. Transitioning to Rouvy from years of Zwift this app is really appreciated! Keep on developing Rouvy to be the best and continue to grow subscribers instead of pricing. Thank you 👍
App doesn’t load
I’ve tried multitude of times to load this app but sadly it fails.
Läuft gut
Die App läuft mittlerweile sehr stabil und die Bedienung ist für mich in Ordnung. Leider kann ich darüber nur die Rouvy App vom PC steuern, wenn Rouvy auf dem Tablet läuft, erkennt die App das nicht.
Can be good
Came from SYSTM. This UI misses so many simple and useful features. With so many great routes, I’d like to easily see what I ride before. And when looking at a route before give me some stats like when and how fast previous efforts were.
almost useless during rides
Has some training metrics/recovery info that is kind of useful I suppose, but the in-ride functionality is very poor. At a minimum (as Zwift does) it should be able to act as bluetooth bridge so that you can connect to an Apple TV without worrying about the Apple TV limited bluetooth connection issue. Many people prefer to use a power meter/cadence sensor, a heart rate monitor, and a controllable trainer, but this is a problem with the apple TV version. And almost nothing is adjustable on screen with the app, basically some useless emoticon gestures and disappearing your HUD, but then you lose gradient information as the companion app doesn’t provide that. Needs work…

Login credentials are lost
Very useful app for those of us running Rouvy on PC when you can’t reach for the keyboard mid ride. The only issue for me is that it regularly loses my login credentials so I have to key them in again and there doesn’t seem to be an option to save them or use fingerprint/Face ID.

My Fav indoor Cycling App
I’ve been using Rouvy for over 3 years since I rediscovered my love of cycling during the depths of the pandemic. There are plenty of indoor cycling apps, but I liked the ability to ride real routes and famous climbs from the real world. There have been lots of changes throughout the years but the basic functions have remained fun and engaging when you are suffering in your pain cave. The points system is a pretty good gamification and introduces you to new routes from around the world. Disappointed that you only get a single user with a subscription now, my kids like to ride a bit but not enough to justify a full membership. Also too bad that people can no longer upload their own rides, it was fun to visit a location virtually before travelling, but there are still a lot of routes out there to find. If solo riding is your jam, Rouvy is great. I don’t care much for the social aspects of these types of programs so if you need that look elsewhere for more info. Thanks to the Rouvy team for keeping me entertained in my basement.
No Trainer Road or Apple Health Integration
Looks far better than Zwifts but hate that Rouvy doesn’t offer native integration with TrainerRoad like Zwift does. Main reason using Rouvy so little. This app also won’t import your weight and ftp from Apple Health even though available and doesn’t write all the workout data to Apple health even though easy to do so. So have to sync to Strava instead and import from there which is problematic. Also no support for Kickr Ethernet or Kickr handle bar buttons. And in app no option for clubs or chatting like Zwift. Hopefully they resolve these issues so all us Zwift devotees can make the switch.

Die App ist an sich gut und läuft Stabil , was mir halt als Apple TV Nutzer fehlt ist das die App nicht als Bluetooth Brücke fungiert so wie es bei der Konkurrenz der Fall ist ! Da ich virtuelles Schalten nutze muss ich auf die Herzfrequenz verzichten bzw. über meine Apple Watch ablesen ….

App too dark to see route
If you use the app to see the progress on your route, the map is way too dark to see where you are and what you can expect. At least one star extra if app colour can be altered.
Helpful companion app
This is a great tool to preview courses/maps for future riding and save them so you can launch them in the game client. In game options are decent, similar to other virtual training apps.
Can’t get it to work
Apple Account login is completely broken (error message when tapping Apple icon), and when I do get in (by manually typing in my email and password) it says it’s not connected to the main app (which is open on my Apple TV) and gives zero instructions on how to fix that.

Before the try in for 5 days ( free trial ) I tried to cancel but couldn’t cancel so they charge 149.00 but the app still saying buy a subscription 🤷🏻
Ottima, super comoda
Grande comodità l’uso di questa app. Utilizzo ROUVY su Apple TV e con questa app è molto più veloce ricercare un percorso e aggiungerlo tra quelli che vorrai fare prossimamente. Puoi far partire il percorso in un attimo, mettere in pausa ecc.
What’s the point?
Aside from providing extremely rudimentary and basic controls during the ride (I wish you could change the scale of the UI, customize UI on main screen etc.), this app makes zero sense and is completely useless. There’s no way to see my history, no way to plan my next ride, no way to see the Challenges or Workout plans I’m a part of. I can’t even find my workout plan by seatching its exact name. News? What news? It’s a blank tab for me. Ride later? Same story, blank tab. There’s a giant yellow sticky button that serves no purpose too. Can’t you find a more user friendly way to collect feedback other than this obnoxious ugly yellow circle in the corner? It looks cheap and makes your alp look cheap and bloated. Rouvy, you need to really push hard to compete with Zwift and this ain’t it. What a waste of an app and opportunity.
Useful extension
This app complements the Rouvy training app well. My favorite feature is the toggle switch which deactivates all overlays on the video screen. Data fields can then be seen (part of them at least) on the companion app. Unfortunately, the data screen is very basic and shows even fewer data than the main screen of the Rouvy app. And it is not customizable.
Crashes, crashes, crashes
I like the purpose of the app but it is too delicate to use without frustration. I can see the upcoming events but once off the list and onto a specific ride, it crashes. Please fix.
