Excellent Service and a Credit Union I Trust
I’ve had a very positive experience with Houston Federal Credit Union. The staff has consistently been professional, helpful, and easy to work with, and I appreciate the level of personal service they provide. Banking has been straightforward and reliable, and whenever I’ve needed assistance, I’ve been treated with respect and professionalism. Very happy to be a member and would definitely recommend HFCU.
Not functional
After recent update the app is no longer functional on latest iPhone update
No longer works in the iPad I am typing this on
App is great, been using it for years, now I can’t use it on this iPad because it cannot run IOS18. The iPad is not the latest but is about 5 years old. The version history only says “performance and bug fixes” in the history so that’s useless. Very disappointed.
App Crashing
After the new iPhone update the app has been running really slow and some features aren’t working properly. So tired of it running slow, I deleted it and reinstalled it. Now it won’t even open & says “oops something went wrong, please try again.”
It would be 5 stars if..
There wasn’t a 5 transfer limit a month between checking and savings account. 🙄 besides that I love Houston FCU I get paid 2 days early banking with them!

User friendly interface
Over verification and Delay!!!
Has fraud gotten so bad that I have to give 7 pieces of info when asked to call in? Geez… took 5 mins just to get to a point t where she sent me a code to give her just to tell me when they needed me to call. Also, HFCU requires me to write “electronic deposit only” on a check to deposit it? What if it doesn’t go through and I have to walk it in or take it to another bank? Regardless, just causing delays. I am doing it now. She said it will be on hold for days before I guess it can be applied to escrow. Deposited this check initially yesterday. Received a text for me to call you regarding a matter. Waited on hold, then had to provide identification and then a code via text just to find out why you called. Only to determine that it was because 3 words weren’t written the back under my signature. All said and done, still have a hold placed on the check to verify its authenticity and that funds are available. It’s a corporate check from your competitor. THIS IS TOO MUCH.
Good app!
I really like this app. The one thing that I feel that it is missing however is the ability to add Zelle to my dashboard. I feel that I spend to much time looking for it.

We have been with HFCU for over 30 years their service is always consistent and professional!
Unusable
I don't know what these devs are doing but they keep breaking the app entirely. Long delays when trying to log in, unable to refresh, unable to log in after app updates...frankly it's embarrassing, but worse what if I needed access to it to verify something or shut down my card? The inability to even log in and display any up to date information will drive people away.

App stopped working with iOS 15
App now suddenly requires iOS 16 which cannot install on my device. There was no warning nor explanation that this would happen. Always a great experience when you receive a strange charge alert but find you cannot check up on it. Otherwise, this app deserves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Install a feature that members can update their annual income by themselves.

Latest ver won’t run on older iPhone
The old app tells you to upgrade to the latest HFCU app but the latest version requires IOS 13 and won’t run on my older iPhone. I am locked out of my account because some developer thinks that everybody is using the latest iPhone.
Very useful…
…but doesn’t always display attached “scans” of transactions. Of course, the same can be said of the desktop website version.

The bank is dependable and reliable for banking.
No check images, touch ID issues
Constantly having to enter password since app forgets my TouchID. Why no images of cashed checks that I wrote? When one of the paper checks I've written has cleared, the app allows me to attach my own photo that I suppose I could have taken of the check myself when I wrote it, but this doesn't exactly prove that the check was endorsed by the intended recipient.

Updated app request
I am a man of my word, I had originally given a 1 star over the forced phone code password update and said I’d change it back to a 5 star if they updated it back or gave an option instead of forcing it! And they recently updated it to be able to use a personal/individual code for the app itself again, which was my only real problem I had with it but it was a big problem, but true to my word this app is great and listened to some feedback (possibly, idk if I had any real impact on it but I’m glad it changed back!) so 5 stars!
