Not working
The app is not working it keeps seeing my device prompts me to put in default password but won’t stay connected long enough to do so I’ve reset me phone and redownload app ! I will be returning my ronin sc if this doesn’t get fixed seems like a bug in the app because it was working the first time I used the app

Mixed feeling
I can’t believe I spend whole night to deal with this thing , it forces me to activate the machine via Bluetooth, the Bluetooth always shows me wrong password, it always force me to update it again and again, so horrible

Confusing design
My Initial impressions of the app are not good. The camera would only take video and the app put my camera into a strange mode. Focus and zoom on my camera didn’t seem to be supported in the app. I am thinking of returning this gimbal- the DJI R3 Mini. But…I will give the instructions another read-through and try it again.

So many features lacking
“Track” mode (setting gimbal waypoints or “key frames”) is lacking features. You can’t even set presets for multiple movement patterns, and you’re limited to only 10 waypoints. Seriously lame. Imagine having a library of camera movements you can perform with a tap. Such an easy thing to add.

Awesome Product
I highly recommend this product to anyone whether you’re a beginner or you’re a pro. This is the way to go. You cannot lose. It’s very easy to use. And it worth every penny.
Lame
App registration and account required to use the gimble that was purchased. Besides being invasive, the app isn’t accepting the password I have. On top of that, trying to log in or crate an account causes the keyboard to completely cover up the fields, making the whole thing a chore.
Very good but needs more features
The app is pretty good as is when used with the RS2 and RS3 but it’s lacking many features which would make if more useful. One that I would like to add most is anamorphic de-squeeze from the RavenEye. I’d be surprised if the tech isn’t there to enable this feature. Would love to see 1.3,1.5,1.8 and 2x de-squeeze please. Also when storing mo-Co moves it would be amazing to store manual focus settings too. Thanks for a great system otherwise.

Smooth track not available
I don’t see a smooth track option in this iOS version of the app where every video I saw talks about smooth track. Can you please take on this urgently?

Doesn’t connect to my gimble
The stupid app doesn’t connect to my gimble and it’s ridiculous that we have to have this to use the product. What a garbage inclusion I am irate
Why does this app need my location?
Be sure to switch off the apps ability to use your location in your phones settings. That’s just spyware. Why do I need this app to activate the gimbal? My Zhiyun Crane worked out of the box. It now works with Sony cameras. Usability is much improved.
Hilarious
Turned up to a shoot with new rs3 pro only to find my phone is not able to download this app and initialise it to turn it on. I had to abandon the gimbal after it locked me out and shoot handheld! Writing this review from a friends phone this eve as I had to borrow it to finally set gimbal up!
No motion lapse feature!?
I recently bought the Ronin SC and mounted my Sony A6400 in it. The gimbal itself is fantastic and I love all the features, but I seems that on the app I have no motion lapse option!? I’m frustrated because that’s one of the reasons I thought this would be cool. Slightly irritated.

RS5 is throwing my camera all over the place
I own an RS 3 and have used it a lot. I just balanced my camera on the RS 5, and turned it on and it is in a major spasm - throwing my camera around like a buckin bronco - I’ve calibrated, and it is still not working. My FX 3 is gonna break if I can’t get this fixed - RS 5 not ready for prime time…

Single Connection with Raveneye only
The fact that I can use this app on ONLY ONE DEVICE in conjunction with the raveneye is a massive downside for me. Therefore using it on a more professional set is often not possible (1st AC, director, etc....) Also there is no option to desqueeze anamorphic footage.
Now works with Sony A7RIII (at a cost!)
The number of features you can control via the app is pretty good. Far better than the PilotFly offering. Although I is very annoying having to buy another cable for the Ronin S to work with my Sony A7Riii when there are two other usb cables for other brands in the box. I wouldn’t have minded it so much but the cost is crazy. £17 for the cable and £15 for the postage!! The control though is very good. Couple of features missing that could easily be added such as a LOOP button for tracking, timelapse, motion lapse etc. And a simple home button to center the gimbal. Good improvement over the previous Ronin M I had and for the cost a very good price. I’ve got a Atomos Ninja V hooked up to mine as well.
Fixed my issue
I don't usually write reviews but I was having an error with my joystick and was worried I'd have to replace my gimbal or get it repaired but it immediately detected my issue and fixed it
Don’t work with RavenEye
I connected the RavenEye and I see the image from the camera. Cool. Then I get a message that tells me an image transmitter was detected and to connect the image transmitter to the gimbal to control it. It doesn’t say how. So I connected the RSS port on the RavenEye to the RSS port on the gimbal and…nothing. All of the joystick controls on the app are still grayed out. So then I just tried every combination of holes and nothing works. Terrible instructions and doesn’t work as advertised.

All in all the app functions well, the features are cool. I’ll rate if five stars when: 1: The app should reconnect to my ronin on launch if there is only one device configured in the app. 2: there seems to be a bug in the balance test that always says that the pan needs rebalancing. Despite the motor power being -1 or 0 3: iPad. Common guys. 😁

Alguien más tiene algún problema con el eje de paneo? Ya lo equilibre con dos lentes exactamente como dice el tutorial y algunos videos en YouTube y de ninguna forma me da. Siempre dice “ se necesita balancear de nuevo” ¿Que puedo hacer?
Track mode needs work
Why does setting up a "track" mode behave differently than a motion lapse? I'd like to use the gimbal's joystick to set the camera in the precise direction and then lock in that key frame. But I can't. Adding a key frame just creates one in a random location. If I create a key frame in the apps graph view, the accuracy is not great. Why not allow push mode here? Without this level of control, it's almost impossible to get your framing correct. Seems like a bug.
