What people like

- Touch to focus from smartwatch feature
What they complain about
- Frequent disconnection issues
- Too expensive or subscription required
- Missing advanced display features like zoom and peaking
- Some camera models not supported
Great
Just nicer to use than the Sony app

Buggy but worth trying out
I tested this with my A7C (on a 15 Pro Max) and while it connected easily enough and the UI was pretty good, it was so hit and miss it was unusable. What I really loved was being able to select focus points on my phone, plus the focus stacking seemed to be pretty good too. But as I said it was so intermittent, sometimes it would work instantly, other times it would do nothing, or finally fire the shutter after a 7-8 second delay?!?! So for me it’s a no. A real shame as the Sony remote app (imaging edge) is absolutely useless so had high hopes for this :(
Easy op
This works a lot better than any other camera app I’ve tried, connects to my Sony A7lll easy and instructions are very clear, everything I’ve tried so far just works, not like Sony Memories that didn’t work that well,, only down side is the price.
Not worth it
It’s rather scummy that you force people into paying a monthly subscription just to view the photos you’ve taken with a camera that costs over £1600 I’d rather steal and clone the app than pay this. Utter nonsense and garbage.
Great app for Sony users
Great app for using it to remotely control your Sony camera. Great features but one down side is it will not rotate settings and image while using into landscape mode on my iPhone. I contacted support and they were quick to reply and said this maybe due in a further update coming. Overall best app around for Sony users in my opinion.
Disappointing
Kept disconnecting from camera even though distance was very close. No option to zoom. Not worth the money, wish I could refund.
Generally good
I like it.. nice features for landscape/astro photography. Bit annoyed it disconnects from the camera so much. I’ll make sure the firmware on Sony is up to date, but not sure I’ll keep the app if I can’t rely on it to not disconnect whilst using
Life Saver
After recently buying my A7V and realising I could no longer use my usb intervalometer even with USB C adapter I was a bit stuck. The internal interval function is rubbish as it doesn’t give the option to refocus between shots. By chance I stumbled across this app and I can confirm that it does indeed focus between shots, happy days!
Are you high?
I’m sure the app is hard work. But £69 for an app? Are you high?
Too expensive for what you get
This app is far too expensive for what you get. It was a massive disappointment. You are unable to focus or even see what is in focus as you cannot zoom in on the display (which is tiny on phone screen) and it does not show peaking Also doesn’t show zebras I don’t understand why these simple options are not available for the most expensive app I have ever purchased
Worthwhile App
This is the first phone app I’ve used that works flawlessly AND is relatively simple to use. I recommend it
Useless, application
Useless application, waste of money
Solo inglés y polaco.
Si estuviera en Español le daría 5 *****
Excellent for Older Models
Majority of the newer apps support newer Sony camera models. This app thankfully supported my a6600 which I use till this day. This app is definitely a must if you want any sort of wireless remote monitoring capabilities.
Doesn’t connect
This was good when it worked (for 3 photos) but it has only connected to the camera twice and not for long, even in the house. I spent an hour trying to connect during a photo session and had to give up
It works
After the utter failure that is Sony‘s Imaging Edge on iOS13 this at least connects to my camera and works. The major downfall is that you can’t control the focus point in this which makes setting up your picture more complicated than it needs to be. For the price I would have hoped for a bit more
Great app!
This app works brilliantly and makes my Sony remote and macro guide rail redundant. Features for focus and exposure bracketing work seamlessly and the exposure bracket saves using a memory slot too. Connection is simple via the camera’s WiFi and is great fun to use.
Not good menu
Not good enough , I think free ones are better than this . No functional
Genius! And best support I’ve ever experienced
Enhanced compatibility with my ZV-E1 with live preview / adjust EV etc and more importantly- live touch to focus from my watch, you get to realise that especially when shooting by yourself that touching your watch to focus before talking to camera is so much more natural than using your phone and then having to hold your phone awkwardly for the duration of the filming. Also this app is MUCH faster to connect and get live feed from camera than the Sony creator app (if you are using your phone) worth every penny and more!
DONT BUY IT!
£16.99 this app cost me. Doesn’t work. Doesn’t link and is surely not as simple as it should be for. Ridiculous. I want my money back. Thieves, really
Remote control of camera
I use my Sony A1 for wildlife photography, this app allows me to place my camera in the most advantageous positions ad operate it remotely. It allows me to control all important functions aperture, shutter speed, exposure compensation, focus point and the like from my mobile phone. Excellent piece of software, highly recommended.
Ripped off - does not control all camera functions like play memories
Completely mislead into thinking this would offer the same functionality that play memories would and it is so basic and lacks useful and essential features I needed. Don’t bother downloading, absolute rubbish. Going to card issuer for a refund for being mis sold.
Simply brilliant
Love this app. Have used for astrophotography all around the planet and has never let me down simple and easy to use even at 22+SQM
Doesn’t work for movie mode
Bought the app with the sole purpose of controlling a Sony A6000 when shooting movies of our band. It’s not supported but you don’t find that out until you’ve made the purchase.
Review
I’m disappointed that when I use it it only shoots in jpg I need it to shoot raw
Not happy
Do not repeat do not touch this just paid £5 For this peace of junk all it does is keep taking pictures on a loop not worth anything
