MUST HAVE for DSLR/Mirrorless
No other app does it like this. This app is better than any proprietary or “official” app for monitoring and shooting. I love connecting to it for the continual timer. I’ll have it take a picture ever 5 seconds for 30 seconds while my camera is on the tripod of me and my wife when I have no other photographer. This is how I captured our engagement photos. Get this app you will not regret it. Live view over USB and wireless (if supported).
Not easy to remove cameras
Ive been fiddling with it for at least an hour and no luck. I couldn’t add a new camera. Working with canon r5. My canon r3 is showing but not canon r5. Ive give up
Great lightweight affordable alternative
This app is a huge help with run and gun live video for socials instead of having to use a big monitor all the time. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have anamorphic-squeeze as it's a need with my Canon R6V 🙏
Canon user
Real issues connecting to both my R6ii and R5. Spent a couple of hours trying to connect them up tonight. Instructions poor and incomplete and nothing found to help on YouTube. I’m sure the app is very good but basics of connecting to the camera needs more clear instructions.

Great app, some suggestions
Great alternative to Snap Bridge (very limited functionality) and NX Field (too complicated to setup). Would like to see larger shutter and AF buttons, and also an option to replicate the f1 and f2 buttons on the Nikon Z8. Alternatively, a button to quickly switch from FX to DX and back. Should also add support for Nikon Z digital zoom lenses (like the 28-135mm), so that you can operate the digital zoom from the app. Would also be nice to be able to move the histogram by dragging (or option to place it in any of the 4 quarters of the image). Also the level needs better guiding lines to know when the camera is perfectly level. Otherwise, it solves my need of having a simple remote control to shoot with a cage setup low over the water for wildlife photography without cable connections or unnecessary hardware.
Intermittent
No way to contact the developer by email for questions. I’m trying it with a Nikon z7, and every time the camera is turned off or the phone goes asleep, the Wi-Fi disconnects. Then you have to go through the camera and reconnect it all over again. I wanted to record GPS data on my photos, i cannot a reliable application to do that.

Err 070 canon EOS r
Hi, when in live view, if I select the magnifier, I get err 070 and have to power off the camera. How can I resolve this issue? Thanks

When I first downloaded it was ace. Couldn’t fault it. Now everytime I connect and download more then 4-5 pictures at a time it disconnects from my camera or only downloads half of a picture.
Hard to connect to 70D wi-fi
It was a lot of work to connect with Canon 70D Wi-Fi function. Even with the Pro purchase. I had to create a new WiFi set and disable auto connect to my home WiFi
Downloads Video to Files App
Great app to have when you need to download media to the Files App. I was able to transfer 8K Video files from my Canon R5 Mark II without needed a separate card reader over USB C.

Hey I have tested the app and it was amazing, thought a huge problem I wanted to purchase it but since it passed like a month or so without using it my phone deleted the app automatically but when I came back to actually purchased it a message popped up saying I need to connect to the camera at least once. But I can’t connect it anymore due to my free trial being over… is there a work around this problem??

I own a G-anica s100 and I downloaded the app thinking it would work so got in the app and I have to own a “canon” and I think the app should and more camera

They app is really nice and user friendly…. But in video mode i noticed a good delay and lag, witch is not really useful :S (Using Nikon z50)

Tried everything to connect from Capture 1 to Canon Connect wirelessly and nothing worked or it would drop connection. Found this app and it just works. I’m so happy I bought the pro version. I’m using it on a IPad with my Canon R1 over WiFi. Thanks for a great product.
My images are gone 😧
I bought the subscription but the apps remains in the free trail mode! Every time when I use the app, for some reason, the pictures inside the as card just disappear!!! And then, I can not see any image in my camera, I can only see it in my laptop, this is so frustrating help me here please!!!! Thanks
IPTC data
The Camera Connect & Control app works great with Canon R3 and R5 cameras when connected to an iPhone via a USB-C cable. The only problem is that all the IPTC data stored in the camera gets lost from the images. Is there any way to work around this issue?
Liveview greyed out
Hello I wanted to try out this app for my 1000d camera but when I wanted to do it they liveview was grayed out and I tried the free trial is there a fix to this?
Really good app and simple
I did enjoy the app and how simple it was to setup. Every featured worked on the Canon R7. I was able to control all parameters from the phone and lag was little to none when using a USB Cable. I tried wifi and I was actually surprised on how latency. It was much faster then I expected. One thing I wish I had was live view full screen mode.
Canon R5 users
So glad I found you guys !! A monitor option that I could plug-in via USB-C Is a real GameChanger and the tools this app provides our stable. USB-C connection The connection is reliable and work ready. I’ve used this app with USB-C connection, paying gigs and it held up Monitoring tools The focus tools and the connection to camera are consistent. Changing settings on my camera from the app is seamless. From ISO to focus, this app works well. Suggestions for improvement? Apple Watch integration It would be good to see an update for the Apple Watch layout. 1. A momentary focus confirmation sound from the watch when the camera is in focus 2. A performance enhancement for the record button. Making some type of a indication on the button that lets us know that record is engaged.
Downloads to phone
They want you to pay for the downloads but apple doesn’t allow the money to be downloaded to the app for some reason got to fix this bug because I paid for the 24.99 yearly subscription and nothing happened
Good but one thing
It’s very tedious to go through each and every individual image to save, maybe add a select feature so users can save in bulk, rather than going through them individually.
Great when worked
Worked for exactly 1 day. Tried the trial for a few hours, purchased, then used for a day, came back the next day and now I get error code on my camera. I’m using canon 5d mark ii. When it did work, it was everything I needed.
Unclear what camera models are supported
Can this app provide Liveview and related recording controls via USB connection to the Canon Vixia HF R800 camera? While I don’t see evidence that it doesn’t, I’m not able to access any Liveview controls in the 3-day Trial version of this app. So far, using iPad Pro as the mobile device, I can only see recorded videos (playback mode), but nothing else. All of the Settings are enabled for all access, including the setting to “enable Liveview”.

The only app I found that will actually work with a d3500
Missing video
Waited two hours to download videos then when I checked my photo library, none of them had transferred over. A waste of time and a waste of money.

Buggy to the point of useless.
Really needed to tether my Nikon d7100 to a screen. This seemed ideal. The trial version only allowed me to view what was on the memory card, so basically pointless. I took a punt and shelled out the 8 quid or so for a years subscription. It works for one picture. After that it would take a picture but froze as it was trying to display it. Shame as I really needed the facility this potentially could give me, and I’ve thrown money away.
File Transfer
I’m operating on an iPad Pro running IOS 15.4.1 and looking to transfer RAW files from my Canon EOS750D. CC&C advises RAW files are transferable. Apple advises IOS supports RAW files from most Cameras, however when I transfer the photograph is converted to JPEG. It’s now unclear what is converting to image format. Other than the above the app would be a worthwhile investment as its far superior to Canon Connect.
lifesaver
at a time where my class project was due the NEXT DAY, and all of the footage was on my Canon t7 and no available cordage, i was truly relieved to have found such a useful app that had the capabilities that i needed (simply downloading and sharing .mov files). still, this app was a total lifesaver and id recommend it to anyone in my position.
Terrible
It buries the file so deep you will never find it. I searched everywhere in my iPhone 15 for my video files and they are no where to be found. They must be going somewhere but no where usable. I want my money back.
Where is Live View and camera control?
I finally got the wireless to work and got the free trial. But I see no option for actually “controlling “ the camera. Nikon Z50. Photos show up, but I see no option for Live View. Will gladly change review if I can find the option to do that. Got it, thanks. Needed to repurchase the trial as it didn’t register the first time. I can’t seem to figure out where the photos that are displayed are located on the Ipad. They aren’t in the Apple Files location and they still show up after I have deleted them from camera. Are they stored in some unknown folder in the app? Liking the app so far, may purchase if I can figure out the file management system.
Lots of potential, But....
On paper this seems like an ideal companion App for photographers. Connect your phone/ipad and you have live view and can configure various settings. In reality, the WiFi connection is VERY unstable, even the wired connection is hit and miss. It could be a great App, but needs a lot of work. Used on a Canon 80D and iPhone 13.
Z7 connection
I already have the Cascable app which works fine apart from the ability to zoom in, in live view, so I thought I would try this app. When entering live view the zoom button appears momentarily but then disappointingly disappears and I can’t seem to find it! Everything is laid out well and there are lots of useful features; unfortunately there is another issue that is quite significant and that is in order to maintain connection the live view must also be on in the camera which will drain the battery, the Cascable app takes over from the camera live view so doesn’t have this issue
Greatest App
I have been a canon shooter for years. Canon Connect is junk compared to this program. I hope whoever developed will continue to keep up the good work. I recommend this to every photographer in the world.
Can't Connect
I've been trying for one hour to connect to my camera and photos. I am not able to view my photos on my camera or on my hard drive. This is after purchasing the "Pro". I'd like a refund.
Does the job
I downloaded this app because my other cannon connect app stopped working. This app uploads the pictures to my phone but not the videos. I can’t get the videos to load or save to my camera roll. My pictures turn out great though! The app doesn’t cause blurs or glitches. Some pictures do take a long time to load though. But this app does get the work done!

Does not work regularly enough to be useful
It transfers images from my Canon to my iPhone
It transfers images from my Canon 4000D to my iPhone SE. I worked for hours with the Canon app before giving up on it. I had no problems connecting with the WiFi and working with the Canon & iPhone using this app. I was not trying to do a lot with it, no videos or live stuff. What I did was shoot pictures outside with the Canon, then I came back in the house and got on the Canon’s WiFi which was shown on my iPhone settings and I got on this app which is on my iPhone and viola! I selected the pics to save to the iPhone photo album. Don’t be sidetracked by “No internet connection” ignore that. So anyway I compared photos from the iPhone to the imports from the Canon and found the Canon pics were slightly better, despite having been sent through WiFi. I got the Canon 4000D expressly for astrophotography and I had to have WiFi capability. So a few minutes ago I got the $24 (I think it was) package. Because it works for me. Does what I need.
Download location not working
Download the app and try to take photo by Nikon z7 and save to network location at iPhone or iPad but it only saved to on my iPhone or on my iPad. Then delete the app
Great functionality
This app (especially after the last release) has great functionality. The ability to zoom in to help manual focus is fantastic. The thing that would make this a perfect 5* app would be an improved UI. I know that is subjective, so I’m sure many people love it as it is, but I’d love to see a fresher cleaner look (again, subjective I know)
Frustrated
Camera Canon 1300D Rebel T6 would not connect to this app. tried multiple things - multiple times. 45 min of watching the wheel spin each time. 2 stars because developer did contact me to ask a few questions. Frustrated - deleting app - $20 down the virtual drain. Issue was resolved by connecting to a different app.
Not good with Nikon z 6
Finally managed to get the free trial. Using a Nikon Z6. Nikon’s own app, SnapBridge, was smoother and better. For example focussing with this app was slow, compared to very fast with SnapBridge. Also SnapBridge made it easy to change focus modes, eg pin point or wide area. It lost one star for that and another because it’s pretty expensive at almost £12 while SnapBridge is free.
