Avast One on iOS/iPadOS is not recognizing paid Premium subscriptions. I paid for a multi-device Premium plan, but Avast One on iPadOS thinks I only have the free plan.

Won’t be renewing subscription
Despite installing every update offered, it’s been months since I’ve been able to connect to my local VPN and a bunch of other US ones, which is the only thing I use this app for. I’m not gonna bother renewing my subscription. I’ll find something else.
Blocks the wrong program
It has a nasty habit of blocking programs it's not familiar with without notify you.

I have been utilizing AVAST since it’s inception from way back. It was during a trip out to CA whole working on finishing up final touches on some much awaited banking software . We kept getting these hidden worm viruses no one could seem to detect which would infect our whole network. One of my IT guys on the east coast who knew about these guys says Im going to send you a link. Download it run i5 in your laptop only isolate and send me the findings. In less than an hour we had completed what other major competitors claimed to do , we had paid them to do yet they were asleep at the wheel. Thanks guys for all of your many years of great customer support and patience with all of my people in the beginning. It’s been a wild ride.

I feel safe with Avast security. They are right on top of things if there is a threat of any type. It is a little expensive for an elderly widow but I do what I cans. Avast has been very good to me and love being able to ask questions when I don’t understand things. Thank you Avast for taking care of my fears.
It has been two days, and I have not been able to get it installed yet.
I am trying to understand how it is possible that I was able to get my Mac up and running immediately but, two days after ordering and paying for this service, yet I am unable to install it on my iPhone because a solution is still being worked on.. GRR!
Works good
I have used avast for years and it works much better now now that the app was updated. It has blocked many, malicious websites over the years, saving me from hackers.
The latest update breaks the app.
So I really want to love this latest update, but I cannot. The formatting changes made to the app make it to where you are unable to scroll in certain section, such as the hack alerts. It’s so freaking annoying because I have emails set up that I have no way to get to you or check on. I would be as annoyed if I could see hack alerts on the desktop app, but alas, you can not. Also not a fan of the added pay walls for services like the VPN and the inability to add services à la carte if you’re already a premium member. Dev team please fix the glaring issue with hack alerts. So far not super impressed and I’m unsure if this service is worth resubscribing to.

Your security company should offer a month of free surveillance without having to give your credit card information, for that free month.

Offline notifications
About twice a day, the app gives a notification that "You are offline. Check your internet connection and try again". But other apps and devices on the same network do not detect an outage. Is this a real outage lasting a few seconds? Or a false alarm? If it is a false alarm, then please fix it so that I get fewer notifications! FYI and to help you reproduce the problem, I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max with iOS 26.5 and the latest version of the app. I have a fast home Wi-Fi network powered by a cable router

Unbelievably difficult to login and recognize account
I don’t even think this app does anything we’re wasting money. Now I can’t use Netflix and I can’t login to your app which I pay for to fix any settings. Total scam.
Pretty decent app
I don’t really have any complaints, but I do have a suggestion. There needs to be a way in the app to turn off vpn. It’s a silly reason, but I had to completely uninstall the app to bet on a race and while I CAN turn it off in my phone settings, it doesn’t stay off long enough to verify my location for betting.

Worked well for 11 months starting acting up and loosing WiFi . Found a SUSPICIOUS PDF FILE which appears on one drive in shared titled WORK which appears with a female name when u use VPN Thought it was a virus . But seems That it’s used to title logs - reported this screen shot to Microsoft guess it’s illegal .

⭐ Avast Security App – My Honest Experience I went into Avast Security feeling confident and hopeful. The initial download and setup were smooth, and the interface gave me the impression that I was in good hands. Unfortunately, my experience changed pretty quickly once I started trying to use the features that mattered most to me. Where Things Went Wrong 1. Biometric login issues A major problem was that Avast couldn’t log in to apps or accounts that require biometrics. I normally use my fingerprint instead of an alphanumeric password, and Avast wasn’t able to run scans on my email accounts because of this. Even when I tried entering passwords manually — saved passwords, written passwords, anything — nothing worked. Fingerprint login didn’t work either. This was the first big red flag. 2. Support wasn’t really support I reached out to Avast hoping for help, but learned that actual assistance requires paying. I was told to post in the community forum instead. My post took nearly two weeks to get approved, and when it finally appeared, it had typos. Not exactly reassuring for someone already dealing with security concerns. 3. Trial confusion I signed up for a one‑month trial, but it ended up being only one week. Whether that was a glitch or a misunderstanding, it didn’t help the situation — especially since I was hoping Avast would fix the issues before the trial ended. What I Did Like To be fair, not everything was negative. • The VPN felt solid, discreet, and more private than what I’d been using before. • Web Guard gave me a sense of protection while browsing. • The overall design made me feel like I was using a modern, reliable tool. If Avast offered the VPN as a standalone app, I’d almost recommend downloading that alone. But Here’s the Bottom Line Avast gave me confidence at first, but the experience didn’t hold up: • Biometric login issues never got resolved • Support wasn’t accessible without paying • Community help was slow and unhelpful • Trial period didn’t match what I expected • Scans always came back clean even though I suspected deeper issues To be fair, I know some of these problems might be tied to my own device being older or digitally out of date. Maybe Avast works better for people with newer systems or fewer complications. So… Is Avast Right for You? If you want: • A reliable VPN • Basic web protection • A clean, modern interface …then Avast might be a good fit. But if you rely heavily on biometrics, need help setting things up, or expect responsive support during the trial, you may run into the same frustrations I did. — I wanted to leave an additional review based on what happened after my first one. I received a response from the developers telling me to visit a web link to express my concerns. The link didn’t take me to anything other than the main website. I tried using the chat on their site. At first, the AI assistant seemed like it might actually help, but then it stopped responding. I had to start over and rewrite everything. When I finally got connected to a live agent, they didn’t provide any real assistance or solutions. It felt like I was being bounced around instead of actually helped. Overall, the support process was frustrating and unproductive. If the developers are going to direct users to a link, it should lead to an actual support form or a team that’s ready to help — not a loop of AI resets and agents who can’t resolve anything. After using Avast Ultimate, I have to say it doesn’t feel “ultimate” at all. The features sound impressive, but in reality the experience falls short. Even the Avast Cleanup service — which is supposed to optimize and clean your system didn’t actually clean or improve anything meaningful on my device. For a product labeled “Ultimate,” I expected real system maintenance, deeper cleanup tools, and actual performance improvements. Instead, it felt basic and limited, not at all what the name promises.

I had this for a few months now and it protected me from 9 viruses! And from downloading suspicious web sites.
Can’t get past sign-in
I am unable to sign into this app using my existing account information. I’m not sure what the issue is, because I can login to other apps from Avast just fine. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, signing in with my password, and signing in with a one time passcode. Nothing has worked. I get a message saying “Oops, something went wrong. We're fixing an issue that prevents us from completing your request. Please try again later.”

There are so many upgrades that continue to bombard the user. Till you’re done, you’re duplicating and they auto renew unless you turn off.

I’ve used this app for a year now and want to continue using the service but there are 10 subscription options and no information in the App Store of online explaining what each one is! No support either.

A vast is working with me to rectify security issues, I have had a vast for seven or eight years. I have tried other security programs . I find a vast very cooperative. I’m in my 70s and I’m not that familiar with cell phones and computer computers. I just need to keep closer contact with avast. I think the challenges of security are getting more complicated, but they’re keeping up with everything out there that’s affecting our communication security. I have trusted this company for seven or eight years ,so far so good . satisfied.

thieves charge you even during free trial
i haven’t even finished my free trial and this app has decided to charge me $20 all of a sudden. i even went out of my way to cancel the free subscription before renewal before this happened. imagine putting trust into this app to keep your phone safe and instead they unrightfully take your money instead. horrible service, and never recommending this app to anybody and i’m going out of my way to tell everybody how predatory this service is.

No control
The Avast on my desktop computer and laptop are great… I can schedule scans, do clean ups, see the results of scans, etc but the mobile version on my iPhone doesn’t seem to do anything… I have zero control and never know if it’s going anything at all! All it keeps wanting me to do is change passwords and buy MORE protection like VPN! Very annoying! I also have a 10-device plan but have no idea if my phone is double covered (I entered it as one of the 10) as there is no way to access it. I’m thinking of cancelling them all because of this issue.
