Zi’s review
This app has been so great! Helps me to try new recipes I probably would’ve never tried before. By far one of my favorite apps to use
Awful app & customer service
I’ve had this app for about 6 months now and one day the app wouldn’t open. I just got a blue screen and it froze. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but when I logged back in, I had NONE of my recipes I’d saved and cooked. Everything I’d found and cooked was now gone. I reached out to their “customer service” which was a huge joke. I got one email reply telling me to login instead of create a new account. The lady clearly didn’t read my email or she thinks I’m just an idiot. Either way, it was bad customer service and I’m still left with a waste of time and money. I’ve already cancelled this membership so it will NOT renew. The food is ok, I guess. I’ve tried several recipes and only a handful have been ones I would repeat. To me it’s not worth the money when I can find the same stuff on IG or TT.
Tasty is the best!
I’ve made many, many, recipes with Tasty and they’ve almost always turned out well! The only thing is that I think, when workers see rude or disrespectful comments, they should ask for it to be removed. I’ve seen very racist and disrespectful comments, and I suggest they be removed if a someone working at Tasty sees fit. Thank you!
Allergies
I have a shellfish allergy but I don’t want to rule out all seafood, especially with fish I enjoy like salmon. But when I have only shellfish marked on avoid I still get things like shrimp popping up.
no sugar free?
I don't understand why there aren't any sugar restricted options! You have a low kosher vegan… But no sugar-free option! No diabetic options.
But it now!!!
I LOVE THIS APP SMMMM❤️❤️❤️❤️
Looking for an app that gives recipe ideas.
Had the app for 20 minutes to check it out given the 400k reviews. It was a pain. IMO this app needs a way to filter out drinks and desserts. I’m looking for meal ideas and if the recommendations are 99% drinks and desserts, it doesn’t help out much. Saw one good recipe that was very basic, and I could have done an easy google search for it. Improve the filter ability and it might be a good enough app to download again.
Great!
I love this app because it helps me find awesome recipes and helps me expand my cooking skills! My only things is that the ai assistant isn’t great about helping me find exactly what I’m looking for but other than that it’s amazing!!!
It’s changed
This app was so easy and great to use when it first came out, now it’s completely different and way more complicated. It’s just not the same anymore. Too much going on in the app.
Could use work
I wish you could add more than 3 ingredients to the meal maker option. Otherwise I love the app
I love it !
This app turned me into a house wife
app so broken
App is so broken I can’t even log in anymore. Uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing still. Super frustrating and disappointing.
I see potential
I like the meal plans. I would like an easy way to copy the ingredients to a clipboard instead of to a shopping list dedicated to Instacart. Also I do not see how to add a recipe to the meal plan so that its ingredients will show up on the grocery list.
Nah
If you’re back then don’t bother, not one recipe for ox tail
Saved recipes button
The saved recipes button disappeared.
Recipe take you out
Easy recipes take you out of rush and out of worries and there’s some good recipes here. Thank you Tasty!
Profile
Where did my profile go?!
Measurement
It is a realy great app but the only downside is i wish it had grams as a measurement option, it would make it a lot easier then having to try and convert it
Not good
The videos don’t work and say their unavailable very unfortunate.
Good recipes. Frustrating ux.
I have to log in every time I open this app which is very frustrating. I should be able to just stay logged in. The app also refreshes to the home page almost every time I navigate away from it. I have to find and reopen the recipe I was using multiple times while I’m cooking and it’s driving me crazy.
Learning to bake
I made cookies they turned out so good! This app is helping me learn to bake. It is so fun baking, and learning new things every day! I can’t wait to bake more and, use this app. I love that I got to discover a new talent!
Not for kids!! - inappropriate ads!
The app description says that it is for ages 4+ but it’s letting ads inappropriate for young kids. My son has been cooking and was excited about having this app on his Android phone, which has A LOT of parental restrictions. However, through this app inappropriate ads (sexualized Temu ads if you must know) appeared. I tried to report it directly from the ad, which made it disappear only to reappear a few seconds later. He’s uninstalled it. I only installed it to write this review. I also see that people can post pictures of what they made. Are those pictures being regulated or like the ads in this app, anything can show up there?
🩷
Easy and great but some stuff are hard… love the recipes ❤️
Not working as it should
Unfortunately there is no difference if you mark or don’t mark the product that you don’t consume as it still shows you recipes with it.
Love the App
This app has everything, meal planning, saving cookbooks, preference settings if you are vegetarian and so much more. If we’re just using this on the iPhone, it is perfect. On the iPad Pro, not so much. You have a community tab, a discover tab, and a meal plans tab. There this is the weird little icon on the left which is an AI chat service, and that is it. The Character you created that has all your recipes saved in different cookbooks are not there. There is no place to sign in and the taskbar is of no help either. I primarily use my IPad to cook with, so now I have to memorize what the recipes are called so I can find it on the iPad. Otherwise, this app would be a 5.
Review on Tasty app.
My absolute go to, for all those days when I have no idea what to cook for dinner short or short on time or just want new ideas. I love the Tasty app. makes my world so much easier.. Thank you!
They keep changing how to log in
They keep changing how to log in, losing all of your bookmarked/saved recipes in the process
Amazing
Omg this app is soo helpful it takes me through dinners christmases and birthdays ! As much as love this app there is one little twerk the people in the community are quite judgemental and rude over what you choose to post do I insist on it looking at the comments thanks for reading xxx
Unable to access cookbooks
They have some great recipes and ideas but I can’t access any of my saved recipes when I wanna check something or remake something. I should be able to access recipes that I’ve said
Recipes are great BUT
I love the recipes on here. A lot of them are very indulgent so good for treat meals. However recently I have had to cut out dairy and soy. I altered my dietary preferences and soon discovered this tool is useless. The top 12 recipes recommended for me ALL had dairy and soy in and after that I gave up looking. Ingredients literally have things like “soy sauce” and “milk” so it’s hardly like more obscure things (like miso, butter etc) are slipping through the net.
love it
love this app helps me to come up with meals on the delay
awful
This app has ZERO GOOD RECIPES!!! DO NOT USE IT IF YOU WANT YOUR FOOD TO TASTE HORRIBLE!!!! I have tried so many times and every single thing that I cooked or baked ended up in the trash
My review
Tasty is amazing but there problem is that there not so specific and that if for example you don’t have almond flour can u use white flour instead so what I am saying is that u can’t ask questions for that one Recipe but everything else is amazing thank you
Not happy.
I enjoy the app but I hate that it always signs me out of my account. Now I can’t log in using my phone because phone log in is going away and to use a different provider but it doesn’t give me an option to log in using my email address
Shopping List
Bring back the shopping list.
Brownies
This one is my favorite recipe. The trick is used really good chocolate.
Terrible app
I got it and thought it would be a good app because I love the YouTube channel so but ended up being terrible because it takes too much of your personal information I used my iPad for the app and it doesn’t let me delete the app. Does not deserve 4.9 stars to not recommend.
Won’t let me log in
I already have an account but one day I was going on my phone and it was like make an account so tasty plsss help me
Amazing before, but now it’s bad
The app is great and all. But I haven’t used it in like two months and then when I go back into the app, there’s now A PAYWALL! What the hell! This should be free, because it was before! What happened Buzzfeed, you losing money or something that you need your cooking app to start paying people for using it? That’s low Buzzfeed.
Tasty deleted my info !!
I’ve been a big fan of Tasty for years. But after an app update, it has deleted all my saved recipes. This is the second time this is happened, and the app, for some reason will not allow me to log into my old account that I had. Very upsetting as I had so many recipe saved and now I have to start all over. I’m not sure if it’s worth my time to do that now.
I don’t usually write reviews but…
This is THE BEST cooking app. The videos, the reviews, it’s easy to go through like I love this app DOWN!!!!!
Major practical issues
We cannot make shopping list because some ingredients are not available for sale in the app You have to set serving count for each recipes and some you cannot customize the serving count on a premade meal plan You cannot use your favorite meal or cookbook selection to make your meal plan and there are no option to help you to reduce food wast. You have dig in the whole list with the few available filter and not sorting Some receipt doesn’t include the preparation of the side like salmon with rice the receipt and the ingredients list will not include the rice Some recipes especially kid or lunchbox friendly are really are TikTok level of smashing process food in a dish and some dish have insane cooking time like 5-6hours without any warning until you open the recipe
Great and efficient
No app is 5 star, so I’m giving it 4. It has like a million recipes and so many are good ones. I have used so many different recipes. It gives you the option to only have vegetarian recipes, too! Brilliant app!!!!
New version Meh
Loved the old app Since update ALL my saved recipes are gone. I’ve clicked. Vegetarian but I keep getting meat “suggestions” Can’t figure out how to move saved recipes into the new cookbook section and it doesn’t do it for you.
Issues signing in
I use this app every now and then because I always have issues signing in!! 😡 every time I have to login and every single time errors out!!
My review
I love the app
Pourri
Il vous font croire que c’est gratuit mais on peut pas voir une seule vidéo sans payer un montant chaque mois
Great app
Many delicious and simple recipes easy different foods for less ingredients then normal healthy alternatives if needed and allows blocking of foods for certain lifestyles
It could be better
This app is really good for people who like making deserts but when it comes to dinner there aren’t much options or a variety of options that there is for the desserts and I know this is more of a sweet sort of food app but if you’re going to include dinners then either increase the range of different types of meals or don’t include dinners at all so if your looking for an app to help you find ideas for dinners then I would find another app (sorry to be such a pain but I kinda needed to tell people that were here because they thought they were getting dinner ideas or something like that)
Good
Keep it going on
